After reading so much, I decided I wanted to make my own. I would appreciate some advice and tips to improve as I am a newbie writer. Btw I'm in high school. The cover picture is not mine if wanted to be taken down, let me know.

Second Step

It is time for his Emrys to get a sword, a katana.

Emrys had finally reached the point where he could physically practice his sword style and sword skills.

It only took Emrys a month and a few days to train his body to reach his requirements to train in his sword style.

Though Emrys couldn't say that he reached this stage on just hard work and training only. If he just trained regularly with no extra help it would take him about a year to reach the point to do a couple of moves from his sword style.

Emrys's sudden increase in his overall physique was due to whatever happened to his body from chaos. Without chaos, Emrys wouldn't be ready.

The first step was completed, the training. Now Emrys needs a katana to start applying his skills.

As Emrys is right now he can't handle a real katana made of metal that can cut and kill. Also, he wouldn't be allowed as Sierra would directly decline Emrys's request of getting a real blade. As Sierra sees Emrys as the type to do whatever is needed for strength to prove himself.

A real blade was out of the question for Emrys.

'Maybe stone? Nah, that wouldn't work either' Emrys thought.

A stone katana was also out of the picture. Even though a stone blade isn't as sharp as one made out of metals it could still cause damage. It could cause cuts, bruises, and other injuries just like a real metal blade.

"Seems like wood is the only way to go," Emrys whispered to himself, making his final decision.

The only material Emrys could think of that Sierra would allow is wood. Even though it may not be safe it won't cause cuts but may cause bruises or internal damage unless one is hit with a lot of force. Wood was the best and safest alternate material.

'Now that I figured out what material the katana should be. I need to figure out solutions to my other problems. The town probably has a woodcarver. The problem is what would Sierra think of me obtaining an irregular sword as this world doesn't have katanas.'

Problem after problem arises, but Emrys should be able to figure it out.

Emrys didn't know what to do. Since this world did not know a katana if he was to ask to get one made it would raise suspicions. Sierra might think, where did Emrys get an idea of such a sword shape and other conspiracies.

Emrys didn't want to bother with suspicions or gain attention. It would be such a hassle.

What if Sierra questions him about getting a weapon when he doesn't know how to use one? What if she makes him get sword lessons? All of this would waste Emrys's time and may slow down the progress of his plans as sword lessons would be time-consuming.

Some of Emrys plans would get delayed or stopped.

Emrys was in his room sitting on his bed rubbing his chin while thinking. In his past life, he would touch his beard as he thinks or strategizes, it was a habit. That habit was still there.

"It seems there are only two ways I can do this or two outcomes can happen. I can ask Sierra to get me sword lessons, then she would have no choice but to get me a wooden sword. Then I can tell her I wanted to try something different, so I wanted a curved sword and she listens. The other option is I say I want a play toy sword I thought of, but that could still cause some suspicion… It seems this is the only way," Emrys mumbled to himself.

There was only one thing Emrys could do, the only smart thing that would get him what he want without other stuff.

Emrys knew what he had to do. He got sat up from his bed and headed to his room door. After opening the door instead of going to the kitchen Emrys went to a room's door.

Emrys knocked on the door. This door was Sierra's room. Emrys was a gentleman so it was only right he knocked on the door instead of barging in.

Emrys didn't want the mistake of walking into Sierra's room when she is naked or getting dressed. Although it would be a lucky blessing it would also be a curse as Emrys wouldn't know what Sierra would do. Although Emrys is a man of culture, he doesn't want to take the risk.

A few seconds later, the door opened as Sierra appeared in Emrys's view. She was wearing a casual black skirt with a white top.

Seeing Emrys at her door Sierra asked, "Is there something you need young master, or is something bothering you?"

"I wanted to ask if there is a swordsman in the outer circle?"

"Now why would you be asking me this question?"

"It's because I know I'm not talented as I don't have a blessing, so I wanted to learn some sword skills. I don't want to be a pushover in the future."

Emrys's last sentence arrived in Sierra's ear. Sierra was getting more intrigued and surprised by Emrys's words, actions, and determination. For Emrys to be so young, but act mature sometimes is intriguing.

'Emrys is very different compared to him to other children his age or children three or four years older. Maybe him spending all his time reading and being around elder Arnold has reflected on his maturity. To be able to recognize and accept that he's weak, so different.'

"So you want to be a swordsman? There is one man who i-used to be a swordsman or magic swordsman to be specific. I can bring you to him, but he might not accept teaching you as he never taught someone before. Some said it's because he has strict requirements and others said he's evil. Do you still want to learn swordsmanship?" Sierra clarified.

Listening to what Sierra said Emrys didn't show a single change in facial expression or thoughts. Emrys was unphased. Amidst that Emrys was getting suspicious of Sierra.

'Now that I think about it, Sierra knows a lot about people and magic. Maids for the children born in the core family are probably more powerful and more knowledgeable than normal maids,' Emrys pondered.

"Yes, I still would like to learn swordsmanship. So can you take me to the swordsman?" Emrys pleaded.

"I guess you are determined to learn swordsmanship," Sierra stated.

'More like I'm determined to get a katana by doing anything, but learning how to use magic with the sword would be useful. But then I'd have to wait till I can actually use magic, which would be in three years.' Emrys thought.

"Yes, so can we go now?" Emrys inquired.

"Right now?.. Sure we can go right now just let me put on my shoes," Sierra stated as her eyes wandered to her feet.

Sierra then walked back into her room while almost closing the door shut. It wasn't as if Sierra was getting undressed, it's just that everyone wants a little privacy in their room.

A few breaths later, the door opened with Sierra in the same outfit. The only thing different from before is that she now had short black leather boots on her medium-sized feet.

"Shall we head off young master?" Sierra asked.

Emrys responded with one word, "Yes."

Sierra closed her door. She walked to the front door as Emrys followed right behind her. Once they got outside the door Sierra grabbed Emrys's hand as she wanted to make sure he wouldn't get lost and he would stay safe.

Emrys and Sierra were now walking throughout the outer circle or as the people that inhabit it calls it the outer town. Following Sierra's lead, Emrys saw many houses, a couple of grass fields, and many small shops in the outer town.

Minutes passed as Emrys and Sierra both arrived in front of a small house that was close to the woods that surrounds the whole Nox family property. The house had a good-sized backyard.

Sierra walked to the front door, she started knocking on the door.

"Knock, Knock."
