The Party
CHAPTER TWO
Ava got invited to one of the biggest birthday party going on in Manchester. She was actually going with her boyfriend but she wanted me to tag along. In her words "Maybe you might find a man that will suit your taste."
Yes! I'm actually single y'all, I've been single all my life tho; maybe because I'm too picky or I haven't seen the right person yet or maybe I have high standards. But all the same, I think i'm just tryna be careful here.
It was already dark outside. Ava and I didn't start dressing immediately we entered the room. We had some pizza and fruit juice over some conversations. Girls talk! you know.
The party was supposed to start by 9pm and we had few hours to get ready. Ava suggested we started early since we would be getting ours makeups done.
I went to take my bath while Ava brought out matching shoes and bag for the dress she bought for me from my closet. I felt like a celebrity on this day because Ava was getting me dressed up. I don't get to experience this everyday, you know.
Ava wanted me to look my best because according to her, a lot of celebrities would be coming since the celebrant is a big name too.
My excitement blew up the sky when I heard about this. She didn't tell me about this initially until today. No wonder she wanted me to dress my best.
At the same time, I was nervous. I know it's like a dream come true but I didn't know how I was gonna act around them.
Soon I was done bathing and step out of the bathroom in my bathrobe feeling refreshed and excited.
Ava already had her bath before coming so she didn't have to bath again.
I applied my body cream and she pulled me to my dressing table to start working on my face.
Oh! I forgot to tell you guys that Ava is a good make up artist. I guess she learnt it on Youtube.
Before we started the makeup, we decided to create a transition content for our socia media accounts especially on Tiktok.
We picked a suitable song on Tiktok. I moved my lips to the lyrics of the song while she videoed me and then she paused it half way to continue it after she is done with the makeup.
Ava and I are good content creators. We are quite famous on tiktok with me having 178k + followers on tiktok and Ava having 150k + followers respectively.
I also have 50k + followers on Instagram. My contents are based on Lifestyle, Skin care and Health as I'm a medical practioner.
Ava finished up the makeup. Then she styled my hair in a high ponytail, letting my hair fall on my shoulder. She also brought out some strands of hair at the side of my face and then curled it.
I finally looked into the mirror after she was done and I couldn't believe the beauty staring right back at me. "Woah!" I exclaimed and Ava chuckled. "Are you sure this is me?" I asked in disbelief. I know I'm beautiful but this beauty was on a whole different level maybe because this is my first time on makeup.
"It is you Skye, you have always been beautiful." Ava complimented smiling.
Having a friend who wants nothing but the best for you without any atom of jealousy attached, is very rare and a big flex. Ava has always been there for me during the ups and down, she has been there to tell me how beautiful, brave and strong I am.
I can't wait to appreciate her in a big way for all she has done for me. Indeed having a friend like her is a blessing.
We completed the video and I must say creating contents isn't easy as it looked. We did the video several times before we got the best.
It was time to get dressed. I let Ava go do her makeup while I dressed up. I started with the dress, it is an enamored red mini dress with a body con fit that accentuated my curves and a lace long sleeves with shiny crystal stones and a feather trim cuff. It also has a keyhole detail which showed off little of my cleavage.
I matched the dress with a white strappy stiletto heels and a white purse. I also wore a pair of pearl earrings and bracelet.
I moved to see my full view in the full mirror in my room. I squealed happily on how beautiful I was looking. Ava turned to look at me from the dressing table and wowed. "OMG! Skye, you look so breathtaking in that gown... I'm sure most of the men in the party won't take their eyes of you." she said and I smiled. "Thank you so much Ava, it's all because of you." I replied smiling.
"Common, It's nothing Skye and you are always welcome my love." she replied and I went to give her a hug.
I decided to take some selfies and do more videos of myself while waiting for Ava.
Soon she was done with her makeup and then moved to dress up. She wore a short, backless body con black dress with sheer mesh long sleeves dress. Then she matched it with a black strappy stilletto heels and a black purse with beautiful silver jewelries.
All set, we checked the time and it said 8:45. We had 15 minutes left so we decided to take some pictures and videos together while we waited for Ava's boyfriend to come pick us up.
Eight minutes later, we heard a car drive in and at the same time, her boyfriend called so we stepped out looking all gorgeous.
We walked towards the Blue 2022 Ford Explorer XLT parked in front of my apartment. Before we got to the car, Ava's boyfriend Noah stepped out of the car looking all handsome in his black tuxedo.
He came to meet Ava and they kissed. "You look very beautiful sweet heart." He complimented Ava.
"Thanks baby, you look good too." Ava replied blushing and he smiled.
He looked over to my side and I waved at him. "Hi Skye, you look gorgeous." He said and I smiled.
"Thanks Noah" I replied.
He led us to his car. Ava sat at the front passenger seat while I sat at the back seat.
Soon, we were on the road vibing to some songs playing in the car.
We arrived at the location and we could hear the loud music buzzing out from the building. Noah parked the car at the parking lot and we stepped out.
I inhaled the cool breeze to calm myself. Ava noticed my nervousness and move to hold my hand and I smiled.
There were a lot of big cars in the parking lot and more were still coming. We walked to the entrance of the club and Noah brought out his ID card. The bouncer checked the ID and signaled us to go in.
My nervousness peaked as we walked through the entrance door and Ava squeezed my hand a little to calm me down.
We entered inside the club and I looked around to notice the very big club with nice interior although the lights in the club were LED lights strips.
There were many tables with seats as Noah took us to one of them and we followed behind him. I could feel many eyes that were peering on us. We sat down and waited for the party to start.
Ava and I vibed to the music as we looked around to see if we would see any celebrity among the guests.
Most of the guests were on mask and we guessed that they must be top celebrities.
The waters served us some drinks and I took some sips while we waited for the celebrant to arrive.
Soon, the birthday celebrant arrived and he started greeting the guests. He got to our table and he welcomed us and thanked Noah for honouring his invitation. Noah introduced Ava and I to him and we had some little chat before he left to the other tables.
The party began and it was getting more fun. Few hours into the party and I was already very tipsy. I drank a lot of liqueur without minding the alcohol content because of the sweet taste. Ava warned me about the liqueur but I was too engrossed in the taste to listen to her.
Ava was bit tipsy due to the vodka and little liqueur she took while Noah was already high but still in his right senses.
Soon it was was time to dance, Noah and took Ava to the dancing floor while I sat and watched them and others dance because I was too drunk to dance.
Some minutes later, I felt the need to use the rest room so I stood up and grabbed my purse feeling very tipsy and went in search of the rest room. I met one of the waiters and she directed me to the rest room.
I fought so hard to keep my step steady as I walked. I could feel some eyes on me already. Some men were ogling at me but I ignored them all and kept walking.
I finally reached the rest room and I entered. I walked to the mirror to look at my self, I noticed that my lipstick was a bit messed up but I cared less about it as I moved to the toilet to pee.
After using the rest room, I staggered toward the door. I grabbed the door knob and opened it with a little force and took a high step. That made me loose balance and I made to fall face flat on the floor but before I could reach the floor, I felt two strong hands wrap around my shoulder stopping me from falling.
I opened my eyes that I closed waiting for the hard fall to see who saved me. My eyes caught a set a green eyes as that was all I could see since he was on mask. Soon my vision got blurry and I passed out in his arms.
