Ch 1. Renouncing Vows to become...

On the border of the Longshi prefecture. Next to the winding forest, the large heavy Rock Buddhist Temple stands firm like a great wall protecting the people of the Longshi prefecture.

Marching out of the winding forest an army of monks looking hammered and bloody March in triumph. The monks marching in the front are more bloody than the last but if you look closely at their faces cool indifference could be seen in their eyes and large smiles on their faces.

As the army made its way to the front of the temple, they are greeted by ten elder monks wearing ashy gray robes. The elders have their hands together and lightly bowing to the army of young and victorious monks.

"Praise the Golden Lotus! You have fought the accused Qingyu demons and came back victorious. In the front of the crowd of bloodied warriors could be seen a young and handsome monk wearing robes that don't match the rest of the monks.

He has on the thousand seals Buddhist robes. Printed with the blood of the first abbot of the heavy rock temple. It glows with bright red whenever any danger befalls him and protects him with the blood light.

Compared to the rest of the monks not a speck of dust could be seen on him, never mind injuries.

The young monk walked forward and handed the elder a piece of paper. "Elder monk we have fought and won by the grace of the Golden Lotus. Many of the brothers need medical attention.

That paper has the location where we stashed the Qingyu infernal orbs we managed to secure during the war. Forgive us for not being able to bring them back.

As we were fighting more and more Qingyu demons kept on appearing and we had to use our Buddhist light to fight nonstop.

We have lost many brothers but now they rest in the Golden Lotus Buddha's eternal kingdom!" Said the youth with his palms together in prayer as a clear white light surrounded the youth.

Seeing the aura the youth was giving off, One of the elders was about to say something but was quickly stopped by another elder. "Ando, May you be on your way." said the elder.

As Ando walked he made his way through the temple greeting the elder monks and waving at the young monks.

With every step, his robes slowly glowed brighter.

His mind was clearer than before until he stopped at a standstill. Crack! He heard something break inside his soul. As the clear light of the Clear Heart Sutra changed from its peak state of clear white to a pinkish-red color.

Unknown to him. His body quietly started to float up to about a foot off the ground. As pink light shot out of the middle of his forehead. The red seals of The thousand seal robes glowed with a blinking red light and around him appeared a gorgeous pink lotus.

Alarmed at feeling the change of energy around him the Abbot of the Heavy Rock Temple. Shot up and ran to where he felt the disturbance.

After seeing Ando the bearer of the Pink Lotus. The abbot Kneeled and said, "Praise the Golden Lotus, Ando has completed the Clear Heart Sutra, he Is now the Second Comming of the Golden Lotus Buddha."

All the monks, elderly to the young in unison repeated the abbot kneeling and said, "Praise the Golden Lotus, Ando The second Comming Of The Golden Lotus!"

A wave of golden light covered the Monks rejuvenating them. Everyone gained at least another hundred years of life no exception. Smiles covered all the monks as they felt the rejuvenating energy.

In his soul, Ando was greeted by a golden Buddha sitting on a golden Lotus. "Child of Buddhism, you have completed what you can by following my teachings. Now it's time for you to venture out and find your path.

The Clear Heart Sutra can only take you so far, In faith, there is nothing such as right or wrong. Only unwavering will. With the completion of the sutra, you now can never be affected. Now go out and feel sin so you can understand why the path you follow is the right one.

Bowing at the Golden Lotus Buddha Ando said, "Being clean and pristine is the way of the Buddha. Why do I need to feel the sin to understand something I already am?"

The golden lotus then said "My child that's where you are wrong. To the learned and powerful right and wrong good and bad is all a form of bondage.

When I tell you to feel sin, I am telling you to understand the other part of yourself and your faith. You will forever be unwavering. So it is perfect to become one of the seven infernal buddhas of sin."

With the wave of his hand, the Golden Lotus Buddha made seven books appear. Each with one striking word on the cover. Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth.

With glowing eyes, Ando said, "If I choose one of these books and complete it I can become a Buddha?"

The golden buddha said" Yes my child! Now choose which sin you would like to carry but first be warned. These are a lot like the qi cultivation of the Daoists. You have to take in the type of energy of the book you choose.

For example, to complete Wrath in eyes of the people of this world you will be a homicidal killer wiping out villages, towns, or even kingdoms, To have enough energy.

Hearing this Ando's eyes flashed. Wrath was going to be his first choice but now he decided against it. 'Greed, Pride, Envy, and Sloth' seems to be along the same lines then those are out.

Then that leaves Lust and Gluttony.

"Golden Lotus Buddha if I choose Gluttony, what effects would it have on me?"

Nodding Golden Lotus said, "The main effect would be never-ending hunger. But with that, you can take in anything and everything. You will not be limited to eating normal food."

'Even though that sounds good I don't want to live the endless life of a Buddha with never-ending hunger.'

Making his decision Ando reached for his choice.

Shaking his head the golden lotus Buddha said "That's an unusual choice you picked for sure. I was not expecting you with a clear heart to pick Lust of all the options here.

Now go renounce your vows to the heavy rock temple and go build up a temple in your name pink Lotus monk."

After that, the Golden Lotus Buddha disappeared. The book of lust then fused with the soul space of Ando. A large pristine clear white Lotus sitting in the center of his Soul consciousness was then dyed pink by the book of lust. A glowing word of lust printed itself on the side of the lotus in deep red.

Signifying him turning his back on the righteous path of Buddhism.

With everything complete Ando slowly opened his eyes. Bright pink light flashed out for a second before returning to normal.

Looking around Ando noticed all the monks bowing at his feet. Ando quickly walked up to the abbot and helped him up.

The abbot while smiling then said, "Praise the Golden Lotus, you have transcended!"

Smiling Ando whispered in the ear of the abbot. The abbot then announced that he wanted to have a conversation with Ando privately.

They walked through the temple to a large building in the back covered in a thick smell of sandalwood. With a golden Buddha in the center of the room. The abbot signaled Ando to sit on the prayer mat in front of him.

"What is it you wanted to tell me that's more important than you completing the Clear Heart Sutra?"

Still standing Ando bowed at the abbot and said "Abbot I have to renounce my vows and leave the temple."

Shock covered Abbott's face. It's been decades since he had any sort of emotional change this strong. He quickly got up and grabbed Ando's shoulders and said "Why? what's wrong? Have we not treated you well all these years? You are the first Monk in two thousand years to complete The Clear Heart Sutra!"

Shaking his head Ando Grabbed the hands of the Abbot and helped him sit back down. "Abbot this is not my own choice."

Confused that abbot said, "What do you mean?"

"When I had my epiphany and completed the Clear Heart Sutra I was greeted by the Golden Lotus Buddha!"

Happiness covers Abbott's face "Praise the Golden Lotus! That's great now I know where that rejuvenating energy came from. Why would meeting the golden lotus make you want to leave the temple? Much less renounce your vows?"

"When I met the golden Lotus he gave me a chance to become a Buddha, after gaining an unwavering heart, The Golden Buddha told me my time here is complete and gave me a chance to become one of the seven infernal Buddha's.

To do so I have to go down a different path than righteous Buddhism.

So... I am renouncing my vows."

The abbot sat back holding his head. What he heard could be said to be impossible.

Unbelievable to the point that he would have kicked out any other monk if they said such blasphemous words but coming from Ando he had no choice to believe.

The abbot raised him from an infant and Ando had minimal connections even in the temple.

"Okay, Ando I believe you. Out of all the sins tell me you didn't pick Wrath!"

The abbot looked like he was almost begging him not to go down that path.

"Yes, Abbot I didn't pick Wrath. I also didn't pick any of the ones with too many adverse effects. I Picked Lust."

Nodding his head the abbot sighed in relief. He got up and told Ando to wait. The abbot went to the back of the giant golden Buddha statue and opened a compartment. Taking out a thin book and a large jade box.

The abbot walked back to his spot and set down the thin booklet and the jade box in front of Ando.

The abbot then started to explain. "Ando, I will allow you in the name of the Golden Lotis to leave the temple and renounce your vows but first like every monk that leaves the temple, you will create your one hundred and eight Buddhist prayer beads with the monk that initiated you.

Tapping the top of the jade case the abbot said "these beads are a bit special. Remember the Qingyu orbs you guys collected on the battlefield?"

Ando nodded.

Seeing him nod the abbot continued, "these are elder Qingyu beads. It takes a Qingyu demon five hundred years to become an elder. Most Qingyu are purely consumed by lust but elder Qingyu are no different but they are intelligent as humans. I don't think any other beads will match you better than this."

The abbot opened up the case and an aura of pure Lust covered their faces. The abbot started to read a mantra to himself to negate the effect.

While Ando felt a deep connection with the orbs coming directly from his soul.

Deep in his soul, the now pink lotus started to spin while thin red threads slowly infused into it.

The abbot who just finished reading the Mantra saw an amazing sight. All two hundred and fifty of the orbs flew into the air and started to revolve around Ando.

One hundred and forty-four of the orbs were quickly sucked dry of their lust energy. While one hundred and six orbs flew down and fell back into their place.

Thick red energy flowed into Ando's soul through the center of his brows, Leaving behind a small red lotus symbol.

Ando, who only cultivated his soul his whole life now felt Qi rushing through his body making new pathways before settling down him his heart.

Ando who was already handsome felt rejuvenated as dead skin fell off his body leaving behind supple almost translucent skin.

The abbot felt today his heart was being tested by the Golden Lotus Buddha. From his sleeve, the abbot pulled out a thin translucent string giving off cold energy. "Ando, this is thousand-year Iceworm silk. I was saving this to make you prayer beads for when you take my place but Abbot." said the abbot sighed to himself.

Using his Buddhist light the abbot levitated the one hundred and six beads before stopping. He took out an all-black bead with swirling black fog and two imperial jade green beads. "The black bead is called the devouring orb, it will take the place of your dharma orb.

It can be found inside of a hundred thousand years old clam spirit and these two beads..." the abbot said before trailing off. "These two beads are called clear Heart Jade. My old senior brother the Abbot of the temple left me six of his prayer beads on his death bed. If your unmovable heart ever wavers these clear heart jade beads will help you."

The abbot then put the string of thousand-year ice worm silk through all one hundred and nine beads. the orbs on their own shrunk down and placed themselves around Ando's neck.

The orbs along with Ando's robes glowed with a deep red light before settling down.

The abbot then handed the small booklet to Ando. "This book is something my clan used to practice and the reason for its destruction. It's a type of martial art practiced in the bed. You and your partner's qi will meld as one and boost each other. It's called the joyous union technique. It has five hundred and forty-two positions.

Circulate your qi while reciting the mantra in your head. After memorization, the technique will activate on its own and your body will automatically move to the desired position. There are some other advantages to this technique but I will let you figure it out for yourself."

The abbot smiling to himself nodded and said "Ando you don't know who you are or where you come from. So I will name you after my old clan and give you a name. From this day forth you are the son of Dongfeng tian, Dongfang Mu, the new leader of the Dongfeng Clan!"

The abbot then took out a small grainy wooden command seal. "Go to the Elmi sect and show this seal to the sect leader bai. Elmi sect Is an all-female sect so I think you know what to do when you join, yes?

Also before you leave, let me teach you a trick that the thousand seal robes can do. Place a drop of blood onto the robes and they will bind to you. After you bind it, you can change the look of the robes to match what you are thinking."

Dongfeng Mu was pleased to hear that the robes he was wearing all these years turned out to have such a cool ability. Now he never had to buy new clothes again.

The abbot also got up again and got a pair of secular shoes from the back store of the temple and handed them to Mu. The shoes are pitch black with silver accents at the bottom. Making them give off a particularly rich look. To match the shoes Dongfeng Mu changed his robes to black robes with silver accents at the collar and sleeves of the robe.

Mu then walked to the side of the golden buddha statue and looked at himself in the reflection. To his surprise. He looks unnaturally beautiful. Not just handsome. He still looks like a man no one would mistake him for a woman but he now has a bit of a feminine charm he didn't have before.

His eyebrows now look sharper, in the center of his brows he now has a small red lotus symbol that adds to his dangerously handsome face. On the sides of his eyes, deep red liner-like marks appeared.

Thinking to himself Dongfeng mu said 'ah that's probably because of the energy I took in from the Qingyu orbs.'

Now ready Dongfeng Mu bowed to the abbot and walked out of the temple. As He stepped out Mu felt something come flying at him. Catching it mid-air he looked at what it was.

A thin treasure sword sitting in a purple sheath with a silver dragon coiling around it from the bottom to the top fighting a majestic Phoenix.

Holding the beautiful sword in one hand Dongfeng Mu unsheathed the sword. Just to be greeted by a beautiful sight. The blade of the sword. Looks to be made out of two different translucent crystals.

Half blue and half red. In the center, the red and blue swirl together to make a shockingly beautiful purple. The same shade as the sheath.

From inside the temple, the abbot said 'I can't believe the child I raised on a whim would complete the path I was supposed to walk on.' "The Dongfeng clan Leader doesn't have a seal. We carry that sword to signify our rank. In the past, the Dongfeng clan had three clan leaders now it's you alone.

That sword is called the Joyous Union Sword. It holds a lot of meaning in Jianghu. Make sure it never leaves your side and be careful who you hand it to."

Bowing once again Dongfeng Mu went on his way.

He decided not to announce his leave to the rest of the monks but when they saw him wearing secular robes he got many confused looks.

Shaking his head Mu decided on letting the Abbot handle that.

In his left hand, Mu threw a small pouch up and down as he heard the sound of coins rattling. The abbot gave Dongfeng Mu a pouch filled to the brim with gold so that his life outside the temple would be smooth. Which caused a rare smile to form on Dongfeng Mu's face.
