Chapter 18: training

Genesis: ..... is there a reason you wish for me to teach you that?

Genesis was a bit surprised on hearing her ask that question but he is willing to teach her on how to do depending on the reason she is wanting to learn, not that he believes she will be wanting to use it for some evil reason no but he doesn't want to teach her something only for her to use it as a toy.

Wendy: I-I mean you don't have to since it is what makes you unique and-

Genesis: Hahaha no its fine wendy, I was just a bit curious on why you wish for me to teach you it.

Wendy: Oh... well grandeeney had told me that I should try to see if I can learn form other sources since she herself may not know everything water magic can do.

Genesis: Hmm I see, well I don't have a problem but it will potentially take awhile to learn.

While genesis had a little bit of doubt that she may not be able to turn water into ice because her magic core may not be attuned to that type of magic but since she is a dragon slayer he doesn't doubt she can't since Dragon slayers have been proven they can eat another element and potentially gain a new form out of it.

Wendy: I understand.

Genesis: Alright then, though first may I know how grandeeney trained you?

Genesis didn't want to force a different schedule onto her since she may be use to the schedule her dragon may have used and he doesn't wish to break her schedule in order to implement his. Though he is willing to change it when she gets older or if she is done with a subject she is learning, but until then he is wanting to stick to as close to the schedule as possible.

Wendy: Well after breakfast grandeeney usually teaches me math and other basic knowledge I need to know when I wish to to go become a mage, then after that we go onto the magic parts before we have lunch!

Genesis chuckled silently seeing how wendy was acting but internally he was sweating heavily when he realized that he knows next to nothing about the history or language of this world, though he is fine with teaching her math since it should be the same as his right?

*Time skip*

Genesis: ..... I don't understand any of this.

Looking towards the sheet of paper wendy had given to him Genesis could only frown when he saw the "basic math" to wendy was something Genesis would see on a final exam for a college leveled test, and lets not even get started on the fact their is new things that he hasn't even learnt of like what the *Bleep* is the average units to measure ethernano!?

Wendy: I'm sorry...

Genesis: It's not your fault wendy if anything it is mine, but hey I have been stuck inside that key for awhile so a lot may have changed from what I know.

Wendy: Speaking of which why were you in this key?

Looking towards the key wendy was holding Genesis thought about what he should say before he had decided to just tell her what he knows since he doesn't seem to harm of telling.

Genesis: Well I am a celestial spirit of sorts per say, you can say I am a summon of sorts to help you out but unlike the other celestial spirits I live in a different plane then the others.

Genesis could still feel the connection to the spirit realm so he knows for a fact that he can still go back there if he wishes to, but he doesn't wish to see how the world may react to him going to said realm with wendy near him if the world tries to kill him.

Wendy: I see.... does this mean I am your summoner?

Grandeeney had told her on how certain mages use familiars or summons in order to fight which had made wendy want one so she can have a person to talk to other then grandeeney but that doesn't mean she isn't going to forcefully make him her summon.

Genesis: You can be, we just need to make a contract of sorts.

Snapping his fingers a small contract appeared in front of when while he still tried to comprehend the math wendy had given him, the contract itself wasn't too weird it was just a basic contract saying that either side can't hurt the other unless the condition calls for it and that they treat each other they wish to be treated.

Wendy: You don't wish to have a day off?

Genesis: No not really since I usually like to use my breaks when you are sleeping though I do keep an eye on you even if I am not there, can't have anyone sneak up on you with the intent to harm.

Nodding her head wendy read over the contract before she had grabbed the quill that is besides the contract in order to sign it the best she can, though it was a little bad since she isn't use to writing with a quill the contract was completed when she finished signing it.

Genesis: And with that the contract is complete! Though I think it would be best if we get onto the magic part of this since I can't teach anything else other then that.

Wendy frowned a little since she was hoping he could help her out with a problem she had in the question but she could see a little bit of smoke come from Genesis ears making her freak out a little but she kept it hidden.

Wendy: Are you going to teach me how to control ic-!

*Splash*

Wendy froze in her spot when she felt cold water splash onto her, while she wasn't mad at the fact she was drenched in water since she was use to the feeling via grandeeney but that doesn't mean she is use to the dramatic temperature change in the water.

Genesis: Sorry but I can't teach you how to use ice yet but for now I am going to teach you a valuable lesson....

Wendy was confused on what this lesson would be but that confusion became shock when she saw a magic circle appear in the air before small water bullets appeared form them all aimed towards her direction.

Wendy: A-And what is this less-

Genesis: Dodge!

Yelling a little when she was hit by a water bullet, she was wanting to get back at genesis but was force to dodge another water bullet after another causing Wendy to run around the the yard in order to not get hit by the water bullets.

Genesis: Hehe, now I can see why this is fun..... though she does realize she can eat the water right?

Turning his head towards lobo direction in order to get an answer but seeing Lobo was sleeping with a bloated belly and a satisfied grin on its face genesis chuckled lightly before turning his head back towards wendy in order to make sure she doesn't hurt herself during this.

Wendy: How is this going to help me learn ice!?

Genesis: By making sure you dodge it WHEN I use Ice!

At that wendy froze a little but quickly jumped to the left to dodge the water bullet but she did glare towards Genesis since she was a bit mad at the sudden lesson she is getting taught. while this was happening all Genesis did was watch with a small smile on his face and drinking a nice cup of tea he somehow got.

Genesis: Ha~ it looks like another one is hoping to master the art of dodging.
