Chapter 5: Can I Know Your Name?

Bai Shu's elegant body collapsed onto the ground after his soul dissipated. After losing its manipulator, the Formation of the Celestial Sword collapsed and Lu Zheng regained his freedom.

The past events had occurred too quickly and even Lu Zheng was dumbfounded by it.

~Did I just… soul path? I see, Bai Shu must have somehow said something that triggered a certain memory of my past life and out of the desperate situation, I used a soul path attack~

This was the only sensible explanation Lu Zheng could come up with and he was totally correct. Before Xue Ritian totally merged with the Cycle of Reincarnation, he spread one-fifth of his memories all over the River of Time as he was unable to instil much knowledge in the body of a baby's soul.

Lu Zheng felt his head throb as an ethereal murky sea spread out from him till it covered a radius of 200 metres from him, transmitting everything that was within its range to Lu Zheng.

The ethereal murky sea was Lu Zheng's Sea of Consciousness and with it, Lu Zheng could easily scout his immediate surroundings from a safe distance.

Lu Zheng controlled his Sea of Consciousness to lift up the sword Bai Shu had used earlier. When Lu Zheng held the sword however, he found it too heavy for him to wield.

"Fuck! This useless body can't even lift a single sword. So useless!" Lu Zheng cussed as he dropped the sword in annoyance.

He then moved towards Bai Shu's body to search for anything useful.

After a proper searching, he found six vital stones on Bai Shu. A single vital stone was the size of a baby's thumb and was shaped like a pearl with a white colour to it.

A vital stone was an important resource to martial practitioners. It contained abundant Qi within it that was useful to aid their cultivation and they were a form of currency in the cultivation world.

In comparison with the old Earth, its buying power was greater than gold.

"Hmph! Stingy!" Lu Zheng scoffed as he left Bai Shu's corpse in search of new opponents.

He released his Sea of Consciousness as he walked and soon, he found more enemies.

Even though he had first tier of Refinement realm cultivation base and was the weakest of everyone in this individual realm, he had his Sea of Consciousness as help.

He could easily detect enemies before seeing them and if they were too strong, he would avoid them. In a short amount of time, he had killed seven more people, taking their vital stones from them.

~Ah? A Lu clansman. It's about time. Hmm… seems she is in trouble~

Lu Zheng detected a member of his Lu Clan who was over a hundred metres away from where he stood. She was already engaged in a life or death battle with two other martial warriors and her death seemed imminent.

"Hehehe, Lu Yang, isn't it? You'll regret the day you ever crossed paths with my An Clan" A fair girl covered completely in golden metal laughed as she attacked Lu Yang.

Dozens of steel drills formed around the woman as they rained down mercilessly on Lu Yang.

"Hmph! Bitch!" Lu Yang swore as she pushed her palms forward causing fire to escape them.

The fire had great heat and most of the metal drills began to melt upon contact with it. The rest that didn't melt were dodged by Lu Yang.

"As expected of Lu Clan's Gentle Orchid, your understanding of fire path is definitely not shallow" Another man who stood a short distance away from the two said. "An Lan, end this quickly. We can't stay here for too long"

"Hmm" An Lan nodded as she moved backwards. "It was fun toying with you, you can die now"

The golden body of An Lan began to shine brightly as her Qi was being expended. A metal spear formed in her hand which she threw fiercely at Lu Yang.

The spear was incredibly fast that Lu Yang was unable to even dodge at all. As Lu Yang closed her eyes in anticipation of death, a crimson bird made entirely of fire flew and picked the spear with its sharp beak.

"What!? A Vermillion Bird? How!?" An Lan was stunned silly by the appearance of a Vermillion Bird.

"Hmm, it seems we have company. Apparently, it's another Lu clansman." The male commented nonchalantly.

Lu Zheng who was surrounded by Fire Dragons of varying lengths stared both male and female down as he said sternly: "Who dares to bully my clansman?"

Lu Yang heard his voice and opened her eyes before suddenly screaming: "Lu Zheng, run away quickly! These people are very strong!"

The male only smiled: "It's too late for that now. Kid, die!"

A torrent of steel shards formed before the male before rapidly turning into a small tornado.

The tornado spun towards Lu Zheng but he didn't even move an inch, allowing the tornado to engulf him.

"Hmph! Stupid!" The male snorted in displeasure.

The tornado that had just engulfed Lu Zheng suddenly began to burn a crimson red before melting away. Lu Zheng stood at the very same spot he was initially, smacking his lips in displeasure: "For a martial warrior at the second tier of Refinement realm, you are quite weak"

"Hmph! Let's see if you are still boastful after this" The male clapped his hands together and as he pulled them apart, a thin sharp sheet of metal formed between them.

"Hiya!" The sharp sheet of metal swung towards Lu Zheng at an incredible speed as it threatened to cut him apart.

"Go" Lu Zheng's tone was indifferent as he pointed at the sheet of metal. At once, the Fire Dragons around him flew towards the male, devouring the sheet of metal in the process.

"What!?" The male was shocked as he quickly used his defensive technique, allowing a golden veil of metal to wrap around him.

In a single breath of time, the golden veil enveloped him completely and he looked exactly like An Lan.

The Fire Dragons didn't stop for once as they coiled around the male, biting him all over.

However, the male didn't let out any sign of pain, as if he felt nothing. Instead, his voice was transmitted to everyone's ears.

"You are very strong. Can I know your name?"
