Vol. 15 - Chapter 2: The Spirit of a Wolf
Part 1 – Golden City of Cibola
A giant dust cloud roams the area. After the attack, one third of the city was annihilated. Allan, Heidi, and Shion come out of the rubble. Shion looks around and with a frightened expression she asks:
"What was that light we saw? That manna felt so sinister."
"I don't know, but I hope Katsumi is alive, we must go with caution and evade any fighting you hear me?" Allan says to Heidi and Shion, both of them nod in agreement. "Katsumi senpai, please be okay…" The group begins to walk slowly as they disappear in the dust cloud.
On the other side of the dust cloud, a giant wall of ice. The wall of ice shatters revealing Alexandria standing with her arms extended, she breathes heavily, Katsumi opens her eyes and sees Alexandria covered in blood.
"What happened to you?"
"Oh good, you´re awake, I see that you didn't die." Alexandria says with a tired voice. Katsumi analyzes the situation and looks at Alexandria; "Thank you, for saving my life, I am in your debt…"
"Don't thank me; I only protected you because you were right beside me. I created the wall and you were behind it, nothing else." Alexandria turns around blushing, Katsumi smiles and says:
"But I remember you pushing saying; "LOOK OUT, I WILL PROTECT YOU!"
Alexandria gets redder and exclaims; "Shut up, it was my body that move on its own, just forget it or I´ll kill you." Alexandria looks away, as Katsumi chuckles.
(PUM, PUM, PUM)
"Listen don't let your guard down, he is coming…" Alexandria says as they hear footsteps getting closer, they begin to see the silhouette of the Horseman approaching. His red eyes cause Katsumi to shake as it gets closer. The Horseman come out of the dust cloud, with one swing of his sword, he creates a massive wind blowing away the dust cloud.
"UUURRIIIEELLLL" Katsumi screams to the Horseman, the Horseman does not answer, The Horseman lifts his sword and charges at them, suddenly a piece of earth elevates and hits him. Katsumi turns around and sees Allan and the others. "You guys, are you okay?"
"We´re fine, but we have bigger problem" Allan replies looking up, the Horseman charges down and lands in front of the them, the Horseman lifts his sword preparing to attack. Alexandria steps forward and chants:
"nulla inferius" (Below Zero)
Alexandria freezes the Horseman in an instant, the Horseman tries to break free, Alexandria breathes heavily as she says; "This won´t hold long, we need to do something…"
Katsumi, leave my son to me, I will help him…
Katsumi hears the voice of Roberto, she turns around screaming; "SENSEI!", Everyone sees the a golden wolf shining running towards their direction. The Wolf is huge and with great speed runs and jumps heading straight at the Horseman.
"WWWAAIIITTT" Alexandria screams, "It´s alright, he is Uriel´s father." Katsumi stops Alexandria and with a great smile she says; "THANK YOU, ROBERTO SENSEI!"
The Wolf makes contact with the Horseman causing them to shine a bright golden light.
Part 2 –Realm of the Horsemen
Eight Years Ago…
"Let me go you idiot, what are you doing?" Darius struggles trying to break free then Roberto replies: "As the head of the Family I must protect them. You are in a thread so we are both going you bastard."
Roberto focuses every particle of manna energy on his chest and screams:
"EXPLOSION DIVINA DEL LOBO SOLITARIO"
"NOOOOOO!!!!!" Darius screams with all his might.
A bright light begins to shine in Roberto and the light extends to the whole area. Suddenly a beam of energy shoots to the sky and expands to the whole base destroying the barrier and everything around it.
"It is so warm, peaceful and quiet, so this is like when you die."Roberto says to himself looking up to the light. His body begins to transform into particles of manna.
"This technique is risky. Oh well guess I won't do any erotic things for a while" Roberto begins to cry and continues to think:
"I´m sorry Familia, I guess this is the end"
Roberto disappears as the explosion ends leaving a smoke screen with a huge air pressure striking the surrounding areas.
On a winter night of January at exactly 12 am Roberto Vazquez disappeared along with his family name.
"Uriel, you are the head of the family now, please, protect them. I´m going on a trip for a while but you need to be brave. No pornography please, you have to take care of your sister and brother who will follow your steps so please be discreet okay."
"riel…Uriel…Uriel…URIEL!" Uriel hears a voice calling; he has his eyes close feeling sorrow and anger. "Somebody´s calling me…He sounds like…"
"HOW LONG AREYOU GOING TO SLEEP DAMNIT!"
(PUUUMMM)
"OUCH!" Uriel wakes up and analyzes the situation, he sees the cube in front of him, the First Horseman wrapped in chains and two wolves guarding him. Uriel stands up and says:
"What happened to me? Where am I? Why does my head hurt so much?"
"Man you´re lazy Uriel, I can´t believe you wouldn't wake up that I needed to hit your head. It reminds me of the past. You know how much work it took to separate you form that cube?" Uriel a familiar voice, he turns around and sees a man standing behind him. He has white skin, bluish hair and green eyes just like Uriel. He also has some beard and mustache. He has a jacket that emits green light, gloves in his hands that have a circle. His pants have the green marks as well and his shoes changes into boots. In the back he has a wolf symbol.
"F-F-FATHER?" Uriel asks with a shaky voice, Roberto smiles and replies; "You sure have grown my son, it´s been far too long."
Uriel runs and hugs his father tightly, he cries as he says; "I´ve missed dad, why did you have to die? You left me all alone, I been through so much."
Roberto hugs him back and says; "Please forgive this fool, I thought I was doing the correct thing to protect my family but I was wrong. Now you have to deal with my mistakes, I´m sorry."
"It´s okay dad, I forgive you, you were doing the best you could, but Darius is so powerful that I…"
"Now, now, I know you´re best but I have something that I must tell you and that is that I am very disappointed in you." Roberto says to Uriel with a serious expression, Uriel steps back looking confused and asks; "Why, what did I do?"
(PPUUMM)
Roberto hits Uriel in the head and exclaims; "THE POINT IS WHAT YOU DIDN´T DO… YOU WERE SURROUNDED OF HOT BABES WHO WANTED TO BE WITH YOU, AND YOU DIDN'T MAKE YOU MOVE YOU IDIOT!"
"WHAT THE HELL?"
"YOU HAD KATSUMI, JOHANNA, YOUR STUDENTS, AND THE IDOL GIRL AND YET, YOU DIDN´T MOVE TO SECOND BASE, AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN?"
"SHUT UP, YOU DIRTY PIG, HERE I WAS THINKING SOMETHING SERIOUS HAPPENED AND YOU´RE JUST A PERVERT, BESIDES I DID KISS MOST OF THEM!"
Uriel looks down of embarrassment. Roberto laughs and puts his hand on Uriel´s head; "I know that you only love Marjorie right?"
Uriel nods in agreement and replies; "I do, but she decided to stay with Aleister…"
"Ay mijo, women are complicated, I know that, you see when I was younger I had to fight for your mother as well. Haven´t you stopped and think if she had a motive to stay with Aleister."
Uriel lifts his head, Roberto continues to speak; "Listen hijo, if you love her, you must fight for her, and did she tell you she hates you?"
"No she didn't "
"Then she must still love you, you are my son and we fight for the women we love, a true man is not the one who has many women, but the one who finds the ideal women for him"
"I understand, I will." Uriel says with a confident expression, "So, dad, how come you´re here, I thought you died?"
"Well, I´m not completely dead. When I used that technique, I was transformed into manna, for many years I spent in between this world and the other. Then, I met a certain man that helped me regain part of my body… but that´s a story for another time. Now for the main point;"
Uriel puts close attention to Roberto; "The object the Enlightened are seeking is the Philosopher stone, you must grab it before Darius does..."
"A philosopher stone, I thought it was a myth, but why is it here?"
"I don't know son, but that was Darius objective all along, he and the Enlightened want to illuminate the world with that…"
"I see, but who are the Enlightened?" Uriel asks with confusion, Roberto begins to explain:
"They are a secret society that has controlled the world since ancient times, I don't know much about them but I must tell you that there are members much more powerful than Darius…"
Uriel is left in shock to hear Roberto´s words, Roberto smiles and says; "Don't worry, I know that you can beat them, because you´re Maria and my son remember that…"
Roberto slowly begins to disappear by turning into manna particles again. "Listen son, you must not lose to Alexa, the power you have may be evil but you can use them for doing good in this world. You must win no matter what…"
Uriel´s eyes fill with tears, Roberto hugs Uriel one last time, "Hijo, you must forgive your mother; I know that she did wrong, but you must forgive her, she is you mother after all."
Uriel smiles and says; "Don´t worry, I already have, I promise I will make you proud because I´m still the Head of the Family, until you return."
"Now then, that's my boy, you have the spirit of a wolf, which means that you will always be in front and protect the ones precious to you. Now go and touch the cube one more time, and this time, defeat Darius for good… I am counting…on you…This is not a Good bye…Farewell…my son…"
Roberto disappears, leaving Uriel looking up in the sky, and says; "Farewell, Father…until we meet again…"
The chains disappear from the Horseman, Uriel begins to walk slowly to the cube, this time with a determine expression.
"My mother helped me, in fact, she protected me ever since that day 7 years ago…Today she prevented me from dying thanks to her cross. I promise that I will protect everyone."
"Young Successor, without my influence, you will only control that power for 5 minutes…" The Horseman warns Uriel, Uriel smiles and begins takes a deep breath, he touches the cube looking at the Horseman saying:
"That´s all the time I need."
Part 3 – In the Real World
Maria lies unconscious on the ground, she begins to hear a voice:
MARIA, MARIA, MARIA
"Roberto? Is that you?"
Maria, you must go back, our son needs you, please, help him…
"I will Roberto, I will." Maria slowly opens her eyes, she sees Valerie with a worried expression, "You´re awake, I´m glad."
"What happened? There an explosion…"
"We don't know niña, but what we know is your sons power…" Griselda explains to Maria, Maria stands up and says:
"I must go back, my son needs me…"
In the Golden City, the ice cracks, suddenly a large amount of manna is released. Everyone gets into a battle stance preparing to fight. Wind blows hard, the silhouette of someone with crimson eyes appears before them.
"This manna, I can´t determine who it is…" Alexandria says with a worried expression.
Meanwhile in space, near the remaining pieces of the satellite Uriel destroyed with his power. Darius Lucifugus floats as he slowly begins to freeze. He opens slowly his eyes as he says:
"I am the Tenth Hour; I will not be defeated so easily…"
I guess that is all the Tenth Hour has…
