Vol. 10 - Chapter 6: Alexandria’s Game

Deborah comes out wearing a long silver coat that goes down to her knees; she is also wearing a hat. Johanna looks at her and asks:

"Are you ready Lady Deborah?"

"Yes, I'm ready to go?" Deborah replies, she begins to look around and asks; "Where is your handsome helper?"

"He had to go to the restroom, he will be catch up to us, anyway lets go." Johanna replies scratching her cheeks. They walk quickly towards the beginning of the streets, a black car arrives and they get inside. The car begins to drive off avoiding the main streets where they is always traffic.

"Are you sure that your friend will catch to us?" Deborah asks worried looking back. Johanna smiles and replies; "Don't worry, that guy is special, he can take care of himself."

Deborah looks at Johanna and asks; "Are you guys dating or something?"

Johanna reacts in shock and replies; "W-W-Whaaaat? No, he is just my co-worker, that's all."

"You know, I can tell when people are lying to each other, I have always said that you must act because life is very short dear." Deborah makes a suggestion leaving Johanna speechless. She looks at the window and begins to think of Uriel.

Suddenly the car stops, "What is going on?" Johanna asks worried, "There is a dead end in front; I'm going to take another route." The driver replies as he makes the turn, they begin to take another street. As they travel through the new route, Johanna begins to look at her phone trying to understand what was happening. Suddenly the car stops once again, there was another dead end in the streets. The driver tries to go through another route but suddenly:

(CCCRRRAASSSHHH)

A trailer that was passing by due to the traffic crashes with the car. The car goes off balance, Johanna and Deborah are slightly hurt but the driver was severely injured. Unable to move, Johanna and Deborah breathe heavily as they see another truck coming towards them.

Johanna looks scared and begins to scream; "UUURRRIIIEELL"

(BBBBBOOOMMM)

Uriel appears in front of the trailer and stops it with his hand. He looks inside and sees it was empty, there was no driver. Uriel begins to think; "So this is how you play Alexandria."

Uriel helps Johanna and Deborah out, Deborah looks shocked and asks; "Young man, who are you?"

"My name is Uriel Di Fiore" Uriel replies to Deborah, Deborah remembers and says:

"Now I get it, you are the horseman of war, am I right?"

Uriel nods in agreement, Deborah smiles and says; "Thank you for helping us." Uriel smiles and replies; "It is my job to help you."

Johanna looks at Uriel with her eyes filled with light; she begins to smile and says; "As always, I can rely on my hero."

"Anyways, we must move quickly, this was all Alexandria's doing, let's go underground we can move faster with the subway." Uriel suggest to them as he senses that Alexandria was looking at them from the tallest building in the city thanks to his rhythm sense.

Alexandria who looking at them through a bird that was flying by begins to smile and says:

"Very good, you were fast enough to stop my truck, let's see how far you can go. You have 15 minutes left."

Uriel who is carrying Deborah because she hut her leg, walks with Johanna. They arrive at walk along the main street in order to avoid Alexandria looking at them. Johanna begins to ask:

"Hey Uriel, why are we going with the crowd, aren't we going slower here?"

Uriel grabs Johanna's hand and replies; "The truth is Alexandria is watching over us, we must avoid any empty streets, the subway is just one more mile."

(CRRASSSHH)

A building begins to collapse just in front of where they were walking.-AHHHHH- People begin to scream as the building creates dust cloud. The amount of people running away causes Johanna and Uriel to separate.

"URIEL KEEP HER SAFE, I WILL MEET YOU AGAIN." Johanna screams as she is pushed away by the crowd. Uriel looks at an alley and says:

"Let's wait until the crowd dissolves."

Uriel puts down Deborah as they wait for the crowd to dissolve, Deborah looks at Uriel and asks; "Hey Uriel, are you really the Horseman of War?"

"Unfortunately, you are correct, I am the horseman of war, but I prefer if you call me Uriel." Uriel replies with a smile. Deborah also smiles saying:

"You have a good heart considering the evil power that relies inside you."

"People who know me often tell me that." Uriel replies with a smile. Deborah asks Uriel; "So what is your relationship with that woman, Johanna?"

Uriel looks at her and blushes, he begins to think and responds; "Well, it's complicated, I don't hate her, and she is a good person that I can trust."

Deborah begins to laugh and says; "You young ones sure have it rough denying your feelings."

"Well, I do have someone that I love, and she is waiting for me back at my hometown." Uriel replies Deborah looks surprise and asks; "Oh, so who is person?"

"Well, she is a girl that I have loved for a long time now." Uriel replies to Deborah with a red face. Deborah looks at Uriel and smiles:

"I always thought that the horsemen were monster that wanted to destroy the world. But when I look at you, you're warm face, and how kind you are makes me understand that not all people are bad in this world."

Uriel looks at her shock and replies; "I see, to tell you the truth, I do not considered myself as a good person; I always felt that need to kill when I fight. I feel scare on thinking that I will my humanity one day and give in to my power."

"I think that it all depends on the person, one can be as holy as a pastor but feel evil inside. One can as cruel as a killer, but feel a person inside. Just trust in yourself and everything will be fine." Deborah says as she grabs Uriel´s hand, Uriel begins to remember her mother and smiles replying; "Thank you."

Uriel begins to sense people approaching; he stands up and sees workers running towards them. They all have white eyes screaming:

"DEBORAH, DEBORAH"

Uriel carries Deborah in his arms and begins to run away. Deborah looks scared and asks:

"What´s happening Uriel?"

"I sense that they are under a spell, it must be Alexandria´s doing. She is playing with us." Uriel replies to Deborah as he runs faster. Uriel looks that there is another crowd approaching from in front of them.

"Damn it" Uriel stops as the crowd closes in, Uriel begins to gather manna in his feet and says:

"Hold on tight, Deborah."

Wind begins to form, Uriel jumps high into a building's ceiling. He looks down and sees that people are getting inside. Uriel begins to run jumping from building to building, Deborah only grabs to Uriel as she begins to see that people are behind them.

"Uriel, they are gaining on us." Deborah says, Uriel turns around and gathers manna in his hand. "Sorry about this, VientoDivino; Remolino" (Divine Wind; Whirlwind)

(BBOOOMMM)

Uriel blows away the people without hurting them. Uriel jumps down asking;

"How far is the airport?"

"No good, we are actually farther now, the airport is the other side." Deborah says to Uriel, Uriel begins to run in the direction of the mob and begins to blow them away using his wind techniques. "Damn it, I can't do this forever." Uriel thinks as he continues to blow people away.

Alexandria who is looking at them smiles; "You're doing well Uriel, however it looks like your time is up."

Alexandria lifts her hand pointing at the sky and releases a small ray towards the sky. She begins to scream:

"Go my pet, and hunt down Deborah Williams without mercy."

(RRRAAAAWWW)

A roar is heard in the sky, the figure of a monster begins to look visible in the clouds as it begins to descend. A monster flies and stops in front of Alexandria. She begins to smile and says:

"Get her now."

(RRRAAAWWW)

The monster roars and begins to flies towards the direction where Uriel and Deborah were. "Now then, how can you handle this Uriel?" Alexandria continues to watch at the tallest skyscraper as snow begins to fall in the city.

Meanwhile, Uriel and Deborah are surrounded by the mob controlled by Alexandria. Uriel looks at Deborah and says:

"Please stay still".

"What are you doing?" Uriel creates a wind barrier, protecting Deborah. He begins to fight the people who are attacking him. Uriel kicks the people, and one by one he defeats all of them. Uriel undoes the barrier and grabs Deborah once more.

"Are you alright?" Uriel asks Deborah who is fascinated to what he did. Deborah replies:

"That was incredible; you sure know how to fight."

Uriel blushes and scratches his head replying; "It was nothing, I just needed to protect you." Deborah looks at Uriel and says:

"I made up my mind; I know that you are the perfect candidate to learn the technique that separates the soul from the body."

"What did you say?" Uriel asks shock on what he just heard. Deborah looks at him and with a serious expressing she replies:

"I need you to learn the technique that my ancestor entrusted towards us. Uriel, my time is about to end, I never had children of my own. Now I need pass this before I die."

"But why me? You just met me?" Uriel asks with a worried expression. Deborah looks at him and replies:

"I don't want my people to suffer, and you are strong enough to do this. Uriel please accepts my offering."

"What am I suppose to do?" Uriel asks Deborah, she lifts her arm and replies:

"I need give you a sample of my blood and you will learn that technique."

Uriel begins to think about her proposal and says; "If I used that technique, I can bring Samantha back."

Uriel looks at Deborah and nods in agreement. Deborah smiles and says; "I know that you can do it."

(RRRAAAAWWW)

At that moment, a loud is heard in the skies. Uriel and Deborah look up and see a winged monster; Deborah begins to tremble by saying;

"No, it can't be why is that monster here? It is suppose to be a legend.

Uriel grabs Deborah and jumps off the building. The monster begins to chase them at high speed, Uriel senses that it is right behind them and dodges the monster attack.

(CCCCRRRAAASSHHH)

The monster blows away a car completely destroying it. Uriel who is holding Deborah begins to escape, with the monster behind them.

"Damn it, that monster is very fast, I can't escape him." Uriel says as the monster attacks multiple times with its claws. "I guess the time is up, Alexandria warned me about this."

"Hey, Lady Deborah, are you okay?" Uriel asks Deborah but there is no response, Uriel asks once again:

"Lady Deborah, answer me." Uriel looks that Deborah is frozen from fear. The monster flies destroying the windows that are in the building.

"Damn it, come think Uriel think." Uriel tries to think of a way to escape with nothing coming to mind and Deborah paralyzed. Suddenly Uriel sees the entrance to the subway, he runs to the direction of the entrance, the monster is closing in to them.

"GYYYAAHHH, GET AWAY!" Deborah screams with fear, Uriel begins to scream:

"YOU MUST CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN DEBORAH!"

The monster extends its arms trying to reach them. Uriel jumps just in time before the monster catches them

(BBBBBOOOMMM)

Uriel and Deborah fall down the stairs with Uriel using his body to protect Deborah. Uriel and Deborah breathe heavily, Uriel looks that Deborah is frightened, he looks at Deborah and asks:

"Deborah what was that thing?"

In a car next to the entrance where the monster crashed, Johanna watched the action along with Agent Watson. "Now that was fun, it looks like Alexandria summoned a legendary monster to get Deborah huh." Watson says with a smile.

Johanna looks depressed and asks:

"Hey, are we doing the correct thing, I mean we are letting Uriel do the hard work here."

"Of course, this is how we do things at the SIA." Watson replies laughing, Johanna looks down, Watson looks at Johanna angry and asks:

"Johanna, remember our mission, we are the shadow of this country. We must protect it whatever it takes, are you doubting your resolve?"

Johanna feels hostility; she looks at Watson and replies:

"N-N-No, I know what I must do."

"Perfect, now get going, I will see you on the other side." Watson replies as Johanna gets out of the car. Watson smiles and says; "Everything is for the sake of our country."
