28 Chapter 27

Chapter 27

After Jake's purchase, he summoned 10 clones.

As Jake summoned his ten clones, a mischievous grin played on his lips, but as they materialized before him, he couldn't help but feel a bit awkward about his previous request. "Alright, team," he began, scratching the back of his head sheepishly, "let's keep the shape-shifting fun to a minimum, okay? No turning into women this time. It's just... weird."

"Looks like the original did something kinky and got weirded out." A clone whispered to another.

The clones exchanged bemused looks, but ultimately nodded in agreement, silently acknowledging Jake's peculiar request.

With the potentially awkward situation diffused, Jake wasted no time in getting down to business. "Alright, listen up, folks," he announced, his voice tinged with excitement.

"We're on our way to Juberly hub to register ourselves as a bona fide mercenary group with the Mercenary Alliance!" His clones exchanged excited glances.

But before they could make their mark on the galaxy, Jake had one more task for his clones: choosing new appearances to solidify their identity as a mercenary group.

"Time to put those shape-shifting skills to good use," he remarked with a chuckle, gesturing towards the holographic display of various appearances.

The clones wasted no time in perusing the options, each one eager to carve out their own unique persona within the group. "I've always wanted to try out the rugged space cowboy look," one clone exclaimed, his eyes lighting up with excitement as he selected his new appearance.

Another clone opted for a sleek and stealthy design, envisioning themselves as a silent but deadly assassin lurking in the shadows of the galaxy. "With this look, I'll be like a ghost in the night," they declared with a grin, already plotting their next covert mission.

Meanwhile, another clone couldn't resist the allure of the classic space pirate aesthetic, complete with a swashbuckling outfit and a devil-may-care attitude. "Arr, mateys! Time to plunder the stars!" they exclaimed, their enthusiasm infectious as they prepared to set sail on their cosmic adventures.

Jake stood before his clones, scratching his head as he observed their bizarre appearance choices. Clone 1 was adorned in a mishmash of neon-colored spandex and oversized sunglasses, looking like they had stepped out of a retro sci-fi film. Clone 2 had opted for a more eccentric look, sporting a top hat adorned with feathers and a coat covered in patches of mismatched fabrics. Clone 3, true to their flamboyant nature, had chosen to dress as a pirate, complete with a parrot perched on their shoulder and a peg leg.

With a chuckle, Jake shook his head. "Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance," he said, unable to contain his amusement. "But let's not forget why we're here. We've got objectives to discuss."

As the clones gathered around, Jake outlined his plan with a grin. "First things first," he began, "we're going to register as a mercenary group in the Mercenary Alliance headquarters at Juberly Hub. But before we do that, we need to make sure we stand out from the crowd."

Clone 1 adjusted their sunglasses, a smirk playing on their lips. "Boss-man, I think we already stand out with our power level if I am not wrong you are around grade C right".

Jake winked. "Yes but I have understood something I'm not getting any new missions from the system, it almost looks like it won't issue anything new I think it's because planet Aquamarine has nothing to offer.

That's one of the reasons for me to leave the planet so soon."

Clone 2 nodded enthusiastically, their feathers rustling atop their hat. "I like the sound of that. But what about reaching 'Beyond Grade A' power level?"

Jake laughed, slapping Clone 3 on the back. "I'm only grade C now there's a long distance to reach the 'Beyond grade A' grade.

I believe with the missions I choose from the alliance I can trigger new quests from the system, so fingers crossed."

Jake turned to his clones, a playful gleam in his eye. "Alright, team, time to brainstorm some names for our mercenary group. Any suggestions?"

Clone 1 spoke up first, a thoughtful expression on their face. "How about 'Shadow Vanguard'?" they suggested. "It evokes a sense of stealth and precision, perfect for a group like ours."

Clone 2 nodded in agreement. "I like it," they said. "It sounds formidable, like we're always one step ahead of our enemies."

Jake grinned, impressed by the suggestion. "Not bad, not bad at all," he said. "What about you, Clone 3? Any ideas?"

Clone 3 grinned widely, excitement shining in their eyes. "How about 'Stellar Sentinels'?" they proposed. "It combines the idea of guardianship with the sense of adventure and exploration. Plus, it's got a nice ring to it."

Jake's eyebrows raised. "I like the imagery," he said. "It makes us sound like the protectors of the galaxy. But we are a mercenary group."

As they continued to bounce ideas off each other, the clones suggested a variety of names, each with its own unique flair and symbolism. "Thunderstrike Syndicate," proposed Clone 1, "it signifies power and force, like a storm rolling in."

Clone 2 chimed in with, "Nova Knights," explaining, "it represents our quest for greatness and our unwavering dedication to justice."

Jake listened intently, nodding along with each suggestion. "These are all great ideas," he said, "but we need to choose one that really captures the essence of who we are."

After much deliberation, the clones finally reached a consensus. "What about 'Shadow Sentinels'?" suggested Clone 3. "It combines the stealth and vigilance of shadows with the strength and resilience of sentinels. Plus, it's got a mysterious vibe that'll leave our enemies guessing."

Jake's eyes lit up with excitement.

"I love it!" he exclaimed. "Shadow Sentinels it is."

After deciding on the name 'Shadow Sentinels'

As Jake returned to the control room to oversee the operations of the ship, his clones split into pairs and began their exploration of the vessel. Two clones, eager to check out the armory, made their way to the heavily secured room. As they approached, they caught glimpses of various weapons through the reinforced glass windows, ranging from blaster rifles to energy swords. However, their excitement was short-lived as they found the door locked, realizing that they lacked the necessary authorization from the original Jake to access the arsenal.

Meanwhile, another pair of clones ventured into the training area, where they were greeted by the sight of a vast, open space filled with state-of-the-art equipment. Holographic targets flickered to life as they entered, and they could hear the faint hum of energy shields activating in the distance. Eager to put their combat skills to the test, they wasted no time in strapping on their training gear and immersing themselves in the simulated battles that awaited them.

In another part of the ship, two more clones made their way to the cargo area, where they were met with an impressive array of vehicles from their past missions. Among the crates and containers, they spotted an aquamarine motorcycle, its sleek design hinting at its speed and agility, as well as an off-road truck equipped for traversing even the most rugged terrain.

"Why did the original bring these vehicles?" The clone asked his companion.

"Why not, they look kinda cool maybe we can see it to a rich collector" the clone replied.

"Hmm maybe.....''

Elsewhere, two clones explored the living quarters, taking in the comfortable amenities and personal touches that made the ship feel like home. From the communal lounge area where they could relax and unwind after a long day's work to the individual sleeping quarters, each equipped with a personal holoscreen and storage space for their belongings, they appreciated the thought and care that had gone into making their living space both functional and inviting.

Another pair of clones delved into the engineering bay, where they were met with a labyrinth of pipes, conduits, and machinery. They watched in fascination as technician robots worked tirelessly to maintain and repair the ship's systems, from the propulsion engines to the life support systems. Despite the complexity of the machinery, they were reassured by the efficiency and expertise of the crew, knowing that their ship was in capable hands.

"Wow these robots are really working their asses off" the clone commented.

"Let's hope nothing happens to them I have no idea what to do with these items, what kind of spanner is this, it's triangle in shape."

Both of them laughed....

As time passed the clones continued their own exploration of the ship.

I hope everybody enjoyed the chapter....
