Acquiring Wealth

The guards never answered Lander. They saw how the matched ended after a few minutes. They also knew their capabilities, the arrogant guard who just became Lander's slave was the strongest among them and seeing that he was easily beaten, they felt scared.

"We wanted to be your slave this time since we saw how strong you are and having an Intermediate Soul, you are indeed worthy to be acknowledge as our master but you can't have more than two slaves as that will result to soul eruption," One guard stepped in front as he gave his opinion.

Of course, Lander knew these things but he still has to do it. This was his will, making impossible things happen in order to survive. Death and soul eruption would never hinder him. He looked at Lute, "Do you know each and every one of these guards?"

"Yes Master!" Lute answered politely. He now really believed that his instinct this time was right and has made a great decision that he will never abandon and will always be with his Master even if he has to face death with him. This attitude was slowly turning him to move out of his cowardice zone without him realizing.

Lander asked Lute about the capabilities of each and everyone of the guards including their knowledge level, their soul affinities, their hobbies and lastly, if they knew how to cook.

Lute told Lander everything he wanted to know while Lander was listening intently. After the explanations, there were actually 2 guards who knew how to cook.

One of the guards hobby was cooking and was passionate about it while the other one was a guard cook but many guards complained about his cooking. This guard really never wanted to impress them by cooking ang just cooked food to satisfy their hunger.

"Be my slave!" Lander looked at the guard cook with intense gaze. The guard cook looked at Lander then Lute and lastly, the strongest guard who was now unconscious after accepting Lander as a Master.

The guard cook was conflicted and at the same time wondering why Lander chose him as a slave despite knowing that he has a little skills when it comes to everything, even in cooking. But, he still accepted Lander as his Master and willingly made a slave contract. His name was Adriel.

The people were yet against stunned, this proved that Lander has an Advance Soul. On the other hand, acquiring another slave made him more weaker and it can already be seen by the other people as they saw his face was starting to pale.

Still, he made another decree as he wanted to settle everything now, "The other guards were of no use to me except the guard who has the hobby of cooking. If you don't want to be put up at the Slave Market then better offer me every wealth you have."

The guards were stunned and was definitely happy. Some even thought of hiding some of their wealth not showing everything to Lander. They were about to throw their storage ring to Lander when he spoke, "Lord Kazo and another two, why don't you guys come out?"

The three were stunned as they slowly revealed themselves and walked towards Lander, "How did you find us?"

"Doesn't matter how I found you. But I request another matter from Lord Kazo, investigate every wealth of these guards and report to me after. If I learned that they were hiding anything from me then you can help me put them up to the Slave Market." Lander said weakly as he tossed his storage ring towards Lord Kazo, "Take the Lightning Stone inside as your payment. Thank you!"

After hearing Lander, Lord Kazo was dazed while the guards shuddered and those who were thinking hiding their wealth from him were even depressed.

"Isn't it too much to take their every wealth my disciple?" Great Duke Bobby said while everyone nodded even his slaves.

"Be thankful I haven't included even their families wealth," Lander spoke.

Thinking about it, every guards were actually able to sigh in relief. If even their family's wealth were taken, then how could they survive now that they were stripped of their position? Some would starve and some would become criminals, their families might even despise them.

"This is the overall wealth I have! There is a land lease inside." One guard tossed his storage ring towards Lander.

"Three barrels of ale and this storage ring, you can accompany me later to get the barrels," One guard said a little bit sad unwilling to part ways with his ales.

"I only have a few silver coins and just books," One guard said embarrassed.

Many of the guards threw their possessions to Lander, there were some that needed to be personally visited to be able to acquire and Lander tossed this responsibility to Lute.

"I also recall those bastards who offended me when I was trying to save your disciple Respected Druid? I wonder where were they?" Lander turned to the Respected Druid.

"Oh them? What do you need them for?" The Respected Druid asked back.

"Wealth! Same criteria!" Lander said that made the Respected Druid nod and left.

"I also noticed people watching me everyday but suddenly dispersed when I came here. I need informations about them please Lord Kazo. I believe that the payment I gave was still sufficient to pay for extra work?" Lander asked turning towards Lord Kazo.

"Actually, you don't have to do that anymore as those people were my slaves. They were also the ones who hunted you down during your journey here in the Wyvern Capital," Great Duke Bobby replied.

The Duke also explained to him that he only made them as his slaves as he was angered when they hunted his only disciple. He also told them to protect him after being accepted by an Academy. Lander was touched by this.

Great Duke Bobby added that he will follow the desire of his disciple in which Lander also asked him if he can have their wealth. Of course, the Duke accepted.

After everything was settled, Lander made 3 slaves, found two maids: Elizaveta and the woman, and two cooks: the guard and another guard who has a hobby of cooking for the necromancer, he needed two more but was suddenly filled in by one of those who hunted him down and one of those who offended him.

Lander bade goodbye and took his leave being followed by Adriel who was carrying the unconscious guard while Lute stayed behind to follow some people to take their other wealth.

Arriving at the suburbs where they were staying, Lander went inside his room without saying anything and slept peacefully.

After eight hours getting all the wealths Lander acquired, Lute went to the suburbs and went inside Lander's place suddenly welcomed by a fragrance, Yan Yan's cooking. He politely went inside and nodded at Adriel who was helping Yan Yan while he saw the other guard, Adofo who was now conscious and was patiently waiting for the food. He also noticed Grey salivating in one corner of the room.

Lander woke up with his stomach grumbling and went towards the kitchen. He was shocked to see new people but suddenly remembered that they were his slaves. Lander went to the dining table and sat at the middle of it, Lute and Adofo followed him and sat on his left and ride side respectively while Grey went beside him.

When everything was served, Adriel and Yan Yan took their seat, "Let's eat!"

While having their dinner, Lute reported the wealth Lander acquired happily, "Master, the wealth you acquired were 31 storage rings, 3 gold coins, 1, 211 silver coins, 4, 697 bronze coins, 4 land lease, 85 books, 19 potions, 11 barrels of ale, 33 clothes, some ingredients and other uncommon material almost reaching 5,000. If I evaluate this to gold coins then Master acquired a total of 2,000 gold coins at most."

Adriel and Adofo coughed out nearly spitting the foods inside their mouth. Though they knew that their Master will become rich after everything happened, they still couldn't believe because his wealth was comparable to a Baron's wealth. Yan Yan, despite not knowing everything about the outside world but upon hearing the total number of gold coins, her eyes went round.

Lander on the other hand never showed any interest but he still smiled, "Adriel, I will teach you things related to cooking and those people who will personally be the necromancer's cook. The reason I chose you was that I planned to create our own restaurant and you will be the head chef there."

"Head Chef?" Adriel asked which Lander never entertained.

"Adofo right? Go outside and establish an information organization. This organization will not be limited to the Dragon Continent but all of the Continents but for now, focus first in the Dragon Continent. Of course, every information needed by people needs a certain payment. Rank those informations from 1-5 depending on how important it is. Oh right! Before I forgot, I want you also to focus on informations regarding portals, teleportation or space spells." Lander assigned Adofo.

"As for you Lute, I want you to establish an Auction House and Hotel. I will discuss the specifics to you later so you don't have to work for now and just wait for my order. For now, give all those coins to Adofo later as he needed it more than we do," Lander gave another order.
