They had won, and the mood should be cheery, but alas, that was not the case. 

How could that be?

Of the roughly sixty people who had made the assault, seven had died, while another twelve had serious injuries of various sorts. Another eight had dislocated limbs, which, while not exactly a serious injury, was still enough to strike fear into their hearts and make their hands tremble should they come across another similar encounter. The rest were, for the most part, fine, perhaps having experienced a stray scratch here or there that required some treatment to prevent them from getting infected.
