Samuel couldn't see any weird reaction from Mark's cold face, and at last, he gave in and sighed;

"Shit, creepy, we'll look for your parents tomorrow and then I'll make sure they scold you, do you hear me?"

The old man stared toward the kitchen then dragged Mark's wrist toward the table for dinner.

Minutes passed as the three ate their meal in a silent atmosphere, all that was heard was the sound of television music and the movement of fingers and utensils on the table.

After Mark finished eating, he looked toward the TV and calmly directed his order at Samuel;

"Uncle, you know I lost my memory, so can you tell me about the Great Cataclysm? I only remember small pieces of information, so would you please help me fill in the blanks in my memory?"

Samuel gets used to Mark's strange and abnormal questions,

But before the old man could speak, his daughter Rachel interrupted him, and said in a calm voice;

"Dad, let me tell him, I'm tired of the silence."

Then she continued with a slight smile on Mark's face;

"All the inhabitants of the world were normal and lived a simple and peaceful life, but five years ago all of a sudden, monsters appeared on all continents from what is now called the Gates."

"No one knew about the origin of the gates or their truth, as scientists are currently working on discovering the matter. In one night, 10% of humanity was exterminated. Humans used heavy and nuclear weapons to fight and repel them."

"Fortunately, weak-type monsters such as goblins and demonic wolves emerged from the gates so, tanks and machine guns were able to kill them smoothly."

"On the tenth night of the Great Cataclysm, many people began to randomly acquire amazing superpowers as they managed to kill monsters at an astonishing pace all over the continents with the passing of hours."

"After the great catastrophe, the Hunters became the center of the world and its heroes, and then many laws were formulated that placed the Hunters in the highest social class."

"Money, wealth, and power are things that can be obtained if you are awakened in higher ranks."

"Guilds or Hunters' Association are groups composed of Hunters, they call superior Hunters who have respectable growth potential under their wing."

"But...but"

Rachel began to shiver, clenching her fist, and then tears began to fall involuntarily from her eyes;

Mark didn't hold back his anger and let out his aura radiating throughout the apartment, but soon he came back to his senses and holds his aura when he noticed Samuel and his daughter panting to the ground;

Samuel looked at Mark with an ugly face and said;

"Are you a hunter?"

Mark answered without hesitation;

" Yes "

"Then why did you unleash your power? You almost killed us," said the old man, protecting his beautiful daughter behind his back.

Samuel knew that old age would not make a Hunter bow down or apologize.

The Hunter bowed to someone stronger than him or of the same rank, as for his status, he was just an ordinary mortal.

Mark exhaled coldly and then spoke softly;

"Sorry, I had a bad memory of a loved one dying in front of my eyes too."

Samuel had gathered his courage, then slapped Mark over the head and said;

"Damn it, don't do it again…. By the way, are you registered as a Hunter?"

" No "

Mark did not lie in front of Samuel and then lay down on the sofa and closed his eyes;

Rachel stared at Mark and then turned her eyes to her father as if to tell him, Solve this problem tomorrow or it will lead to our death.

Samuel didn't answer, who turned off the light and lay on his little bed;

"Screw it, I have bad luck?"

The old man mumbled these words before he fell asleep;
