8 Early in the morning

We have to make decisions every day, from where to go for lunch to what job to apply for. But the future is a mystery, and we don't know what decisions will result in the most happiness. We can't control what happens, but we can control how we react to it. And sometimes, the smallest decisions can have the biggest impact on our lives.

After returning to his room, Haste immediately went to bed.

He didn't know how to feel. Should he be grateful that his situation had now changed? Should he be glad that he now had a supportive brother? Or should he reject him because Jil was now like this only because he had seen what he was capable of in the forest after he fought the giant black dog?

He didn't know what to do, and he didn't have the right mind to think about it right now.

So he just went to sleep. He could think about it tomorrow after all.

But even with a good night of sleep, Haste couldn't help but still think about what his brother told him earlier.

"Should I act as if nothing happened? Like, should I accept him as my brother?" He muttered to himself.

And even after a moment of thinking, he still didn't have the answer. So he gets out of his bed.

His eyes posed for a second on the clock that was in his room, only to see that it was 7:35 am. "Tch, I'm almost late for school now."

The school began at 8 am, and since he needed 20 minutes to get there, he needed to go right now.

He could go faster if he were to use the cars that his family possessed instead of going there on foot, but until now, they never agreed to it. So he didn't even think of that possibility.

So after putting the academy uniform on him, which consisted of a clear-blue shirt and white pants, he came out of his room and ran.

He came out late of his room, but he still had his time manipulation, so he was sure that he would come in time.

And once he reached the gate of the mansion, he saw Jil, his brother, who was about to enter a black car.

'Should I ask to go with him?' Haste thought for a second before rejecting the idea. 'I still don't know how to feel about him, so I shouldn't go with him... For now.' He thought about the last part after some moment. He didn't know what the future would hold, so he didn't want to outright reject his brother's apology.

He looked so genuine yesterday that Haste wanted to believe in him.

Albeit, he still needed a little more time to organize his thought and to see if his brother really meant what he told him yesterday.

However, as Jil was entering the car, he heard someone running from behind.

He turned his head, only to see his brother. 'Is he late for school?' Jil thought quickly as he immediately said to his brother. "Haste, if you're late, then come with me."

"No thanks," Haste rejected him immediately as he still ran.

"Come on, you won't be able to go there in time if you do that... No, you actually can," Jil said out loud after remembering Haste's fight.

"Haste, I don't think it's wise to reveal your power now. So just come with me."

Haste thought for a moment. On the one hand, what his brother said was true since it wasn't wise to receive the attention of many people out of a sudden. But on the other hand, he didn't think his relationship with his brother was good. So he didn't know what to do.

But in the end, he decided to go with his brother. It was the best option out of those he had.

"Thanks," Haste said as he entered the beautiful black car.

The car was levitating a few centimeters above the ground. And if Haste remembers right, this model was the last one that just got released a few weeks ago.

"No need to thank me. I'm your brother, and we're heading the same way anyway. So everything's good."

"I see,"

The trip went smoothly, without any of them talking much. Jil tried to converse with Haste multiple times, but the latter only gave him short replies.

And in the end, they arrived at the school parking.

"Haste, when do your classes end today?"

"At 4 pm, why?"

"Then wait for me here. We're going to hunt together this afternoon, okay?"

"Sure," Haste said as he began walking away. They arrived just a few minutes before classes began, so he didn't want to be late.

He then came in front of his classroom. And as he was about to open the door, he suddenly heard a voice coming from behind him.

"Move, you asshole,"

Haste turned his head, only to see a muscular man who looked like a giant in front of him.

'Why is he already annoying me this early in the morning,' Haste thought. The man who insulted him was one of the people who bullied him at school.

They were numerous, but he particularly remembered him since this man crushed him several times already. Every time, making him out of breath, thus almost dying.

And in the end, Haste didn't say anything and just entered the classroom.

Unfortunately for him, his bully didn't like that.

"You were supposed to let me pass first. Are you looking down on me?" Haste didn't answer, making him even angrier.

He just went to his seat, completely ignoring him.

"You!" The guy shouted, attracting everyone's attention before rushing toward Haste to punch him.

He needed to show Haste their difference once again so that he won't act like this again.

However, what happened next not only shocked the guy, it also shocked the entire classroom, including the teacher who also entered the classroom just now.

Haste was known as being the person who was the most bullied in the school. So it wasn't shocking to see Crol, the big guy, doing such a thing early in the morning.

And Crol was also known for his strength, so no one expected to see Haste dodging him so skillfully.

"You..." The moment Crol turned his head to go for another round, Haste had already made his move.

The latter had already his fist in front of Crol face.

*Bam*

Since he was too shocked to react in time, he got blown away by this punch.
