Journey to the West

With final exams done and the school year over the three friends once again found themselves gathered together in Alexander's room.

"I can't believe you guys get to go to LA, you're so lucky," Sakura said, her eyes shining with a mixture of enthusiasm and envy.

Hearing Sakura's comment Alex took his eyes away from his computer screen where he was immersed in planning out the 5th and final installment of his book series "Chronicles of Everwyn."

"Why don't you come with us?" he asked casually as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Sakura's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? You think I could!?"

"Why not? It would be a blast. The more, the merrier," Alice chimed in, her tone full of excitement. "The only thing is would your parents let you?"

Sakura's face lit up with an infectious grin. "That's a great idea! Of course, I'm definitely coming. Just leave the convincing of my parents to me!"

...

As the summer sun painted the sky in shades of gold, the acting duo's mothers joined together to chaperone them on their thrilling journey. Alexander and Alice's fathers, deeply committed to their roles at Horizon Press, had to stay behind. Sakura's persuasive powers, however, managed to secure her a spot on their journey. They quickly said goodbye to New York and flew across the country.

As they looked out of the airplane window, Sakura's voice was filled with awe. "Wow, this is the first time I've flown on a plane!" Marveling as the people slowly turned into ants.

Alice, recalling her own first flight, smiled knowingly. "I remember feeling just as excited on my first flight. It's an adventure in itself."

After a long flight, they finally touched down in LA. They made their way to the Hotel taking quick showers and going to sleep. Waking up the next day they fought the urge to explore the city and soon found themselves before the studio that held their dreams, their excitement visible on their faces even the usually calm and collected Alexander had a wide smile. But today, their focus wasn't solely on their journey—it was also on meeting the final piece of their puzzle, the actress set to portray Evelyn Thornbrook, the third main character and final main character.

The studio buzzed with energy as the three young cast members, Alexander Evergreen, Alice Montgomery, and Emma Davis, found themselves face to face for the first time. They gathered in a cozy corner of the studio's lounge, each clutching a script and carrying a sense of anticipation.

Emma, with her curly red hair and bright smile, was the first to break the ice. "Hey, you must be Alice and Alexander, right? I'm Emma. It's so cool to finally meet you both!"

Alexander, with his tousled dark brown hair and warm smile, extended his hand. "Nice to meet you, Emma. I'm Alexander."

Alice, her light blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, joined in with a friendly nod. "Hey, Emma. We've heard a lot about you too. Can you believe we're gonna be in a movie"

Emma laughed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I know, right? It's like a dream come true!"

Their easy camaraderie immediately put everyone at ease. As they settled into a comfortable conversation, they shared stories about their

audition experiences, their love for the book series, and their hopes for the movie adaptation. Laughter flowed naturally, bridging the gap between strangers and forming a brand new bond.

"I still remember the first time I read 'Chronicles of Everwyn'," Emma said with a nostalgic smile. "I was captivated by the world and the characters. And now, here we are."

A knowing glance passed between Alexander and Alice, a shared understanding of how deeply their connection to the series ran.

"Do you have a favorite scene from the book series?" Alexander asked, genuinely curious about her perspectives. It was not often that he got to exchange words with one of his fans.

Emma leaned forward, her expression thoughtful. "Well, there's this scene where Alice, Evelyn, and Soren are exploring the Enchanted Forest. The way it's described, you can practically feel the magic of the forest coming alive. I can't wait to see how that translates to the screen."

Alice smiled in agreement. "I love that scene too. The Enchanted Forest has always been one of my favorite settings in the books. And the bond between the three really shines in those moments."

Alexander nodded. "That's the beauty of movies. They can take our imagination and bring it to life in ways we never thought possible."

Their shared passion for the source material created a natural rapport that boded well for their on-screen chemistry.

After getting to know each other they went to meet the other cast members. As rehearsals progressed, they found themselves falling into their roles with ease, each member of the cast bringing their unique talents and interpretations to the characters. Alexander couldn't help but marvel at how the characters he created came to life.

The rest of the cast, including Lumos, Headmaster Celestia Moonshade, Rylan Frostfire, Alice's grandmother, Professor Thalia Mossheart, Theodora Nightshade, Rowan Swiftwind, and Professor Orion Stardust, were also introduced, each actor infusing their own personality into the roles.

"So, who do you think would win in a magical duel, Lumos or Headmaster Moonshade?" Alexander mused when there was a lull during a break, looking at the two fictional characters' actors with a grin.

James Turner, the voice behind Lumos, laughed. "Oh, that's a tough one. Lumos might have wisdom, but Celestia has the authority. It could go either way!"

Jessica Parker, who portrayed Headmaster Celestia Moonshade, chuckled. "I think it would be a friendly duel, full of sparks and riddles. But ultimately, Lumos might have the upper wing!"

The actors shared a laugh, their camaraderie growing stronger as they spent more time together. The studio was filled with not just the magic of the fictional world they were bringing to life, but also with the magic of new friendships forming.

Later that day, during a lunch break, Martha Thompson, who portrayed Alice's Grandmother, found herself sitting next to Alexander and Alice. She grinned, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "So, I hear you two are quite the dynamic duo."

Alice chuckled, glancing at Alexander. "Oh, you mean the unstoppable team of 'Alice and Alexander,' as the fans like to call us?"

Alexander laughed. "Yeah, it seems we've been given a joint fan name."

Emma chimed in, teasingly. "You know, every great team needs a third member to truly shine."

Alice raised an eyebrow, a playful grin forming on her lips. "Are you suggesting that you're the missing piece to our puzzle, Emma?"

Emma winked. "Hey, I'm just saying, I've got experience portraying a spirited and adventurous character."

Alexander joined in with a grin. "Well, we're certainly excited to have you on board, Emma."

The trio laughed, the easy banter flowing naturally as they got to know each other better. The journey of bringing "The Chronicles of Everwyn" to life was not only about the magical world they were creating on screen but also about the bonds they were forming behind the scenes. As they continued to share stories, jokes, and dreams, it was clear that their camaraderie was becoming a vital part of the movie's enchanting tale.
