1 The Rider Girl

Wuzhi planet, Luan continent.

Jiang fort was the largest castle within a hundred miles of the Zhu dynasty. It had a history of thousands of years old. During the period, it had undergone countless changes of ownership. Everybody only knew they had to call Jiang a fortress, but they didn't know why. The castle was made of numerous massive coloured bricks and the gate was more than twenty feet high. It was really magnificent.

There were many cargo ships docked at the freight wharf, opposite the city gate. Manu numbers of workers were carrying stacks from huge ship. Each sack was about the weight of a hundred cattles. These workers were bulging with muscles, and the veins on their thick necks were straining hard. They faced their work. They didn't want to be discouraged in the middle of their tasks knowing they might not be able to continue if that happened.

However, there was one strong, long-haired young man with a sack on each of his shoulders. The weight of more than two hundred castles didn't seem to put too much pressure on him. He could still hum a tune comfortably, but he walked at a slow speed. It was really slow.

"Thud!"

Throwing the stacks down, the young man heard an angry curse before he could catch his breath.

"Liu Feng, are you looking for death?! These goods are to be given to the Jiang castle. Are you going to be responsible for what you break?"

Hearing these words, Liu Feng hurriedly apologized.

"I'm sorry, treasurer Wang..."

The oval-faced, shopkeeper Wang raised his hand angrily and banged it on the table.

"Six coins."

Seeing the six coins on the table, the face of the nervous Liu Feng sank.

"Treasurer Wang, didn't you say ten coins? Besides, I carried two hundred cattles weight of sack!"

Liu Feng said and pointed to the two stacks weighing more than 200 jin on the ground.

"Stop talking nonsense with me!:

The shopkeeper Wang threw away the leaf in his had and said with disgust.

"Don't look at how many but how long it took you. I have spent less time on a cup of tea than it took you to walk! Don't think that you'rd doing more than the others. Take your money and scram. If not for the treasurer who sees you as poor and pitiful, I won't give you any money. Now get out!"

Scolded by the shopkeeper, the face of Liu Feng blazed in anger. If not for his grandfather that told him not to fight with others before going out, he would have faced the shopkeeper and demanded for the right thing. Dejected, Liu Feng stretched out his hand and scooped up the six coins. He turned and walked into the fort, step by step.

Looking at Liu Feng's back, the shopkeeper became happy. Now, he would let only one person do the same work, and he would still pay less. He would save a lot of money for the treasurer. Pfft, and the boy still wanted to bargain with him. Couldn't he see how stupid he was. He deserved to be wretched for the rest of his life.

"Keep clear!"

All of a sudden, a roar caused the crowds on the dock to recede to both sides. Liu Feng also retreated to the side in a hurry. After being laughed at for so long, he had learned to protect himself from the crowd and will never do anything in the limelight.

Two rows of spear guards appeared on the dock, dressed in silver armour. They stood on both sides of the dock in an orderly fashion. Liu Feng knew the guards were from Qingfeng castle.

"Look, that's a monster beast!"

The people around Liu Feng were whispering. Liu Feng raised his eyes to see what the hype was all about. Then, he saw, stepping out of the big ship, a giant beast of around three meters long and one meter tall. It was covered in long dark blue hair.

"Roar!"

The mighty monster bellowed. There was a thunderous vibration around the beast that frightened everybody around. Liu Feng was so scared his face turned pale. This huge size of the beast meant it was an adult monster. Liu Feng was extremely shocked. There were not many people who could use monster breasts as mounts, except those who could fly into the earth to practice cultivation. This was the first time he would be seeing such a monster in his life. Was it a big cultivator from the outer city?

When he saw the person on the back of the monster beast, Liu Feng confirmed his thoughts. It was a girl in white and blue clothes. She had a beautiful face, glittering eyes and beautiful body curves. She resembled a heavenly goddess. Everyone couldn't help but look at her.

Being able to ride on the back of the beast, the guards of Qingfeng respected her greatly. Her background had to be astonishing.

Liu Feng lowered his head again when he thought about this. He waited for the girl to pass.

"All raise your heads!"

A guard suddenly shouted.

Liu Feng raised his head and saw the girl looking at everyone in a cold way.

"I'm looking for a bead."

The girl said softly and continued.

"A small silver bead. If any of you see it, return it to me. I will reward the person with half a drop of life spring water."

What?! Half a drop of life spring water?!

This spring of life was like inheritance to awaken the bloodline. The people of Lua continent still had the traces of the ancient bloodline in them. Even if a mortal on the continent wanted to cultivate, all he had to do was to work hard and the necessary talents to qualify. Once the bloodline was awakened, then one can use the aura of heaven and earth to embark on the path of cultivation.

There were many thousands of people living on the Luan continent and only a few number could awaken their bloodline every year. It was so difficult that most people stopped trying.

The life spring the girl was talking about was a left over from the ancient times that increases the chances of awakening the bloodline. Even if mortals were to drink it, they would become stronger and healthier, living longer.

And the girl wanted to give half a drop?
