A Journey Begins

It's become daytime on Yugo, snow gently drifting off the light breeze. There's been no sign of any other people. I have a mission to complete and has become obvious that I won't be able to complete this task in a quick fashion. Yes, it sucks, but if it means I can help others I'll be glad to do my part. It has been several hours since I was chosen by this girl for something precious to her. For some reason I have left my old life, to set the people on this planet free of their lives. If you're asking me, sounds like an ironic prank when I myself couldn't do anything in my own life. I still haven't been able to find anything to eat and I'm honestly starting to get desperate, no food means that I am going to starve, and starving is not on my to-do list. The only thing on that list is to save people, somehow. Even though I am no superhero, I still wanna see this planet. It's completely covered in snow, and practically blizzards twenty-four seven. Even with all this, the landscape is beautiful, I can only imagine how others might feel when I can tell them what Earth is like. It's insane thinking that whoever may survive here only lives off of the ice.

I was stumbling across a frozen lake, my stomach had been aching for hours at this point, and my legs were burning since I had been walking for hours. Throughout my walk, I had seen some very beautiful landscapes, glaciers that reached thousands of meters high, and ice caps that would cave in on themselves even with the slightest nudge from a partnering member. the day was quickly becoming a winter wonderland. I trudged along and as I came close to halfway through the iced-over lake. My legs were giving out, they felt like they were buzzing and my muscles ached. I was sweating, sort of ironic since anyone from Earth would've frozen here instantly. I couldn't move anymore and my body was preparing for hibernation mode. A.K.A death. I was a bit upset that I couldn't even find anyone, let alone figure out what that little girl was talking about. She could've been a tad more useful and at least given me a certain direction to walk in. I felt like a child lost in a store who can't find his mom. It kind of sucks, but as I laid down and closed my eyes. I really was hoping it was still a dream and I could just go home. I knew if I closed my eyes things would go away. Forever. My body was too far gone, and eventually, my eyes were clenched shut from the exhaustion. Eventually, the snow would cover my body and then some. As my thoughts faded, darkness fell across my mind yet again. Great start to my very own, "legend."

As I went to sleep, I dreamt of my old life, how classy. I was in class with all of my best friends. Carter was fast asleep, as he always was in the middle of homeroom. David, who could have any woman he wanted, was chatting it up with his fangirls. If only I had his looks back home. My personality was great, but my looks were at most average. In my old life, I was short with dirty blonde hair, no muscles and all I had going for me was that I could make anyone laugh. I cared for all my friends since they were the ones who made me feel useful. Brooke's seat was in the front of the class. She was valedictorian, beautiful and outgoing. She loved to talk to anyone and was able to give useful advice to those who were struggling at school. It was as if she herself became the study guide before any quiz or test. I tried to be smart like her after realizing how popular she had gotten. For a time I was getting popular, but then I fell off. After graduating from grade school, I only had a handful of my original group left. Carter went to a different college, and Brooke did the same and went to an Ivy League school. This dream was becoming all too sentimental, I felt sad. I had a drifting sense of nostalgia through the dream as well. I hope everyone is doing well.

As for me, I was a pretty big nerd. Although, contrary to the norm I was fairly popular at school too. Games consumed me at home, but my friends always were with me. We had raids in our RPG game that we all played, I usually went with a berserker rogue type and deal as much damage as possible to every boss we fought. Good times, if only they knew what was going on now.
