3 Where there is fear, there is evil.

"Wow! I haven't seen such a wonderful and green place in my whole life," said Alex studying the place.

It was all such a green place. The greenery of that place was so soothing.

The smell of the wet mud and the sound of birds chirping were so refreshing and chilly, they felt like they entered a whole new fantasy world.

The city was so polluted and the horns and smoke were really annoying. The beauty was covered by the hustle and bustle of the city, but here, it was all clear.

A cold breeze blew by. Gooseflesh arrived on their skin, Adaline covered her shoulders with her hands to feel warm, it didn't help much though.

"The weather really changed here, outside it was so warm but here, I am feeling kind of cold," said Salvadora observing the weather.

She even wished that she should have bought a sweater, in the sleeveless jumpsuit of hers, she could catch cold real easy.

"Isn't this a nice place to have sweet talks, Sam?" Asked Adaline sweetly.

Salvadora was the first to notice that her brother was having a nice time with Adaline.

"Are you two still here? I thought you would have gone home by now," asked Salvadora.

Sal didn't like it. She wanted it to be professional, even though it wasn't. Not some little thing that kids do.

"Oh! Ya, but we thought you might need our help," replied Sam.

"I know why you two are here, you don't need to explain yourself. And you Sam, is this is how you will look a professional?" she said suspiciously.

Adaline and Sam looked at each other as if they had committed a crime.

"I--I..." he stammered but Sal blocked him and said, "No need for your explanation," said Salvadora with a glare.

Alex didn't seem to care about any drama there. He was focused on the work they came for. The three of them were just on the entrance, while Alex was already ten steps ahead.

"Hey guys, see what I have found here," said Alex from a distance.

Everyone quickly hurried towards him.

They saw an unnamed Cemetery with a lot of graves.

Alex was standing in the middle of the Cemetery.

"Come here guys, I have something to show," Alex exclaimed.

"Oh my God! There're so many graves here! This is so not cool,' Adaline said shocked and of course, scared.

They all saw it with a horrified expression on their face, there were more than a hundred graves.

"I wonder whose graves are these," Sam said suspiciously.

"Guys, leave that. I found something more intriguing," Alex exclaimed.

Then carefully handed a piece of paper to Salvadora, which said:

A short secret of this House:-

The government lied that only three people have died here but the truth is told, hundreds of people died here trying to own this magnificent house. But none of them ever succeeded.

-Unknown

"We have evidence now, we can prove..." Salvadora was about to finish her sentence when an invisible hand snatched the fragile paper from her hand and threw it in the pond beside it.

"We lost our only evidence!" Alex cried.

"I'm really sorry, it flew by itself," apologized Sal.

"Don't be disappointed, we will find other shreds of evidence later on," said Adaline cheering up a little bit.

"I have brought a camera and one flashlight. We can capture evidence from it," said Sam taking them out of his bag.

"Give me the camera Sam, I am better in photography than you," said Salvadora with a flash.

As she clicked some photos, she entered the main source of danger. She didn't even realize it.

"Are you sure you want to go there?" asked Alex sensing the danger.

"Yep, I am not going back from here," she replied.

"Then let's move guys, what are we waiting for?" Sam knew he was frightened, but still, he said this to show that he was not.

The front door was almost broken when they entered. It didn't feel as if it was a haunted place, it was more like a rotten palace, there were huge statues, portraits, etc.

It smelt as if a pig died there a long time ago. The smell was stale and dusty, the house was damp and soggy from inside.

It clearly showed that no one visited it for a long time.

Sam said, "This place is really weird, I thought it would be horrifying, it's just like some really old place, not scary. I was scared for no reason."

Just when they thought it wasn't scary, the next thing that happened scared the hell out of them.

Caw! Caw! A crow screamed from upstairs. And then a sound of tightening of ropes came. Salvadora quickly checked what had happened. She saw a crow hanging on the top floor with blood dripping off its body.

"OMG! Nobody will go on the top floor!" yelled Salvadora as she came downstairs, "I took a picture of that scene as proof."

Sunlight was no longer there and the night was approaching after it. "Sis, what exactly was there?" asked Sam.

"I don't think you want to hear. But, as you have come, you have to. There was a crow hanging with a noose tied to its neck," she explained. For a moment, silence spread to everyone's mouth.

"That thing scared the hell out of me," said Sam extremely terrified.

"I don't think that I want to come here again, I told all of you that this was dangerous but nobody cares what I say," exclaimed Adaline.

"I am going to tell mum about this, this is some serious thing, guys," said Sam terrified. The color drained from everyone's face.

"Guys chill! it's just a crow, not a living person, also the things are already complicated, you two are not helping at all," said Alex.

"I think it's just a trap for trespassers," continued Alex.

"Maybe you are right, by the way, I was already not going to tell mum. But we should be heading towards home, it's already 7," said Sam unsure.

"Oh no! I told mum that we will be home by 6:30!" cried Salvadora.

"Guess it's time to go then. See you guys tomorrow!" said Alex. They distributed their research work and then headed home.
