The Lead Fell For...The Villainess!?!?!

-HIATUS- - I'm putting this novel away for now. I think it was a fun idea and I think the MC is really wonderful. However, I am too inexperienced as a writer. I can not do this story justice at my current skill level. I am going to start another story that I actually have a plan for and is hopefully going to be written better. So if you liked the MC/storyline, feel free to check out my other work. - Thank you for all the love and support. You all mean the world to me

Chapter 3: My name is Yu Yan

My name is Yu Yan.

Or at least that is the name of the person whose body I've taken over. The idea seemed so impossible, that I dismissed it at first. But I think that I really was transmigrated into a new world!!!

After I fainted, the previous owners' memories began to surface. Apparently I was the 3rd young Miss of the Yu family. Her father was one of the Emporer's close advisors and he had only one legitimate wife, whom had given him a pair of beloved daughters.

Unfortunately, Yu Yan was not one of those daughters. Instead, she was the child of an inconsequential concubine whom her father had impregnated in hopes of procuring an heir. Even if the boy was illegitimate Yu Ying (her father) had still planned to make the child his heir. After all, a bastard son was better than no son at all.

To Yu Yings great disappointment, Yu Yan was born a girl.

Her mother had died during childbirth and her father was forced to take her in. Because of her less than ideal circumstances regarding her birth, Yu Ying chose to ignore his daughter. Instead of focusing all his attention on his legitimate wife and children.

His Wife, Lui Jinghua was a peppered first Miss of the Lui family, who were very influential and wealthy. She was used to getting everything she wanted and was doted on by her father and brothers. When she had demanded to be Yu Ying's first Wife, her family had done everything in their power to make it happen.

She loved her husband and while she felt shame at her inability to produce an heir. She was not hopeless. They were both young and she had faith that she would eventually bare him a son. And besides, she had two beautiful daughters who were her pride and joy.

However, Lui Jinghua had not expected for Yu Ying to cheat on her and get a mere concubine pregnant. To say she was angry was an understatement. She made sure that the woman wouldn't survive the pregnancy and even tried to bribe the wet nurse to kill the baby once it was born.

Her assassination attempt had failed and Yu Yan was brought to live in the Yu household. Needless to say that Lui Jinghua hated the Yu Yan. And did everything in her power to make her life miserable.

Lui Jinghua and her daughters bullied Yu Yan excessively. They would starve, beat, tease, and manipulate her. Yu Yan was a kind and gentle person and never stood up for herself. She was forced to work in her own house and was treated worse than a servant.

'It's a real cinderella story...' I thought as I pondered Yu Yan's pitiful situation.

According to Yu Yan's memories, Lui Jinghua had accused her of stealing one of her daughter's Jade hairpins. Yu Yan had of course denied it because she truly was innocent. However, when the hairpin was found under her pillow, Lui Jinghua then accused her of lying and scheming against the family. As a punishment, Yu Yan was beaten.

This was not new to Yu Yan, however, this beating was more severe than anything she had experienced thus far. When one of the guards had tacken a knife and stabbed it into her side. She had collapsed. Assuming she was dead, Lui Jinghua ordered Yu Yan's body to be taken into a cave a ways away from the estate and left there. She even took the initiative to order the entrance of the cave to be sealed off. At age 12, Yu Yan had died, a horrible death.

Yu Yan was dead and I had transmigrated into her body...

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is SO COOL!!!!!!

Well not the dying part, that sucks. But seriously!!! I was transmigrated!!! I've been dreaming of this since I was a teenager!!!!!!

In my old life, I had loved to read web novels, easily ones that were about transmigration. And looking at my current situation, it seemed as if I was the lead.

I got transmigrated into the Main Protagonist of a Webnovel?!?!?!?!

But wait...didn't that mean I had a cheat?

In all the novels, I'd read the lead was always some kind of super-genius assassin, hacker type. But I was just an ordinary girl. I didn't have any extraordinary skills nor was I some hidden genius.

I remembered the journal I had tacken from the abandoned room. If I really was the protagonist than that journal was probably very powerful. And the fact that I had conveniently found this book right after being transmigrated inforced my preception.

I let out a long breath. It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Now that Yu Yan's memories had resurfaced, I finally understood my situation.

My eyes fluttered open and I turned my head slightly. I seemed to be lying on a makeshift bed in some sort of tent. It was pitch black outside and the insides of the tent were illuminated my small glowing stones. Their was a man next to me...

My eyes widened!

He was by far the most handsome man I had ever seen. Every idol from my past world was put to shame by this man's beauty. He had shoulder-length blonde hair and large almond eyes that stared intently at me. When our eyes met, he started and then called out,

"She's awake!!"

I flinched at the abrupt sound and his eyes were back on me.

"Are you alright? How are you feeling? Are you in any pain?"

I couldn't keep up with his barrage of questions, so I simply nodded. Two other men entered the tent then and I was again stunned by how gorgeous they were. The taller of the two had black hair and cold expression. His piercing blue eyes scanned over me and I found myself unable to hold his gaze.

The second man seemed to have a much more friendly demeanor. He had firey red hair and a mischievous smirk seemed to be imprinted on his otherwise majestic appearance.

"Get away from her, Cael." The cold man said, and the blonde boy reluctantly left my side.

" Who are you." It seemed more like an order than a question, and I thought about the answer as I sat up.

Should I give them Yu Yan's name? But wouldn't they then take me back to the Yu household? I suppressed a grimace as I remembered how they had treated this body in the past. I couldn't go back there. Better I let them belive me dead.

Despite regaining Yu Yans memories, which allowed me to understand and possibly speak the language. I still knew very little about my new world, so It would be hard for me to create a fake identity.

'But...' I smiled inwardly.

I looked up at the three men with large innocent eyes and said,

" I don't know...Who am I?"
