Chapter 21: Guidance

"It seems like you have never studied cultivation theory before so you don't even know the basics.

In the first 3 realms for cultivation, it is all about Qi being inside of the human body. Inside of the muscles, bones, blood, and essentially every part of your body. You have to be with as much Qi as possible. That is why the level in the cultivation art one practice is important, weaker ones don't allow for high density of Qi.

The one you seem to be practicing seems to be higher than mine, a 7 star art at the very least, which means that you should be approaching the 8 star rank at minimum which is good.

Now, the first three realms, the names don't really make sense. To be honest, old fogies just decided to over complicate it for no reason. All three of them should just be called the Foundation Establishment Realm, as it decides one's future battle strength.

The reason for that, is because from the Qi-Mansion realm onwards, one has to change the way they evolve when they break through into the next level.

In the Qi-Mansion realm, one has to take all the Qi they have and gain access to their soul. Inside of their Soulm they have to use all the Qi to build a mansion with the best foundation possible. So, it has to be extremely wide in length and in its depth. The mansion building itself will happen during the rest of the stage.

To just break through, you have to gather all your Qi and make a solid foundation first.

After that, in the remainder of the realm, you will build a mansion as high as possible. Remember to build an extremely solid foundation, so in the future, you will be able to hold more Qi in your Qi mansion.

After this comes the cCore-Formation realm.

In this realm, you have to gather your entire Qi-Mansion and condense it into 1 small core. It has to be the smallest level possible. My core when I condensed it was around the size of a tennis ball, which is considered average.

Top level geniuses can make one half that size.

The reason why having a small core is a good thing is because it minimizes one's weakness. From the Core-Formation realm onwards, to kill a cultivator you have to destroy their core, the source of their Qi, so the smaller the core, the smaller a target you have.

Additionally, if your core is smaller, you will be able to expand it to a larger size, and absorb more Qi in the entire time you are in the realm.

That also means that as you progress in the Core-Formation realm, you become easier to kill, but you have more Qi, thus can more easily defend yourself.

Your core can't move around your body, and is in a fixed place of your choice. Never tell someone where you kept your core.

I will explain about the Nascent Soul realm when you get closer to that level. For now, let's start building your Qi-Mansion." He explained.

I nodded at him. Everything he had just said made sense to me.

Then, I began to take a couple of pills Jiang Chen had given me.

Some to more easily feel my soul.

Some to increase my Qi absorption.

Some to make the building of my mansion easier.

Jiang Chen himself broke through into the Qi-Mansion realm 1 month ago, I could tell since the system showed me his status page.

But now, I have caught up to him.

I say caught up very loosely, he broke through from the peak of Foundation Establishment to the Qi-Mansion realm in 2 months, while it took me 3 with all my resources. Dammit, his bloody luck is carrying him.

But it's ok. I will overtake him soon enough, and in the long run, I will be winning.

But for now, I concentrated on circulating the Dragon Transformation technique.

"I will now insert a piece of my soul in to help you." The sect master said.

In an instant, every single Dragon Mark exploded in their power, and pushed the sect master's soul out of my body.

I nodded, as I concentrated on breaking through.

I allowed more Qi to flow through me, and the 250th Dragon Mark formed.

Then, as it formed, I felt the Dragon Marks gain a mind of their own, as they 'left' their 'mark' form and started to swim around my body.

Following that, they helped each other become stronger in strength.

The first Dragon mark that I had formed, greedily absorbed more Qi, eventually matching its power to the latest Dragon mark.

Like this, my power increased way more. It seemed like my stats would probably give me an even higher boost now. Maybe around 2 points per Dragon Mark.

Then, without my instruction, the Dragon Marks found my soul and gave me complete access to it.

I couldn't do anything but observe my soul until I reached a higher realm.

Then, the Dragon Marks formed their own foundation for the Qi-Mansion, making my life much easier.

After about 1 day, I broke through smoothly.

"Well that was easy," I said, as I looked around, to the sect master looking at me proudly.

"Well done Zhou Feng. I have never been so proud of a disciple."

I smiled, I was proud too.

"On that thought." I spoke freely, looking at the confused sect master, with a smirk on my face and said out loud, for him to hear clearly.

"Manipulate…"
