Magic training

"Hmmmmm! *Stretching herself* Finally that guy opened that damned mouth of his"

"You stayed in there for quite a while, Maria"

The head maid was waiting for Maria just outside the interrogation room

"Ah! Head maid, good... Morning? I think..."

"Yes, good morning for you too. So how was the interrogation?"

"It was horrible! That guy didn't say anything when I only used one of my techniques, so I had to use all of them in one go, and it was. So. Hard! To keep him conscious and on track. Anyways, here's all the information I managed to spill out of his mouth"

Maria passed a pile of papers with a considerable amount of pages to the head maid

"Thank you very much, Maria... *Takes a quick glance at the pages*... Very good, Maria. I'll be giving you two days of rests, so you can go sleep all today and tomorrow"

"Yay! Thank you, head maid!"

Maria thanked her and went to her dorm. The head maid who kept standing in front of the interrogation room opened the door and entered. In there she saw the assassin unconscious but still alive

"*Sigh* Good grief, she always forgets of finishing her job thoroughly"

She put down the documents on the table and put on her leather gloves, then she went behind the man and grabbed his head with both hands

"... God save the king"

*Snap* *Thump*

The man's head fell on the table in a position that wasn't possible for his neck to turn, she picked up the documents again and gave them another look

"... My lady should never see this..."

"Hoh! If it isn't Olivia, the Head Maid of the Battle Maids" (A/N Notes: Cringe)

"Ara, what an unsurprising surprise finding you here James, the manservant of the Shadow Butlers" (A/N Notes: Also cringe)

When she left the room, she ended up meeting with James who was just passing by

"You flatter me, so do you want me to take those documents to the king?"

"Always one step ahead of everyone, I see. And yes, please take these documents to the king. And only the king, got it?"

"Of course, and I think you might want to clean this room before the stench of trash gets stuck on the walls"

"Yes, you are absolutely right. So if you excuse me"

"Ah! Before that, Today at the same place and time?"

"Fufu... Yes, dar-ling" *Closes door*

"... Understood" *Walks away* <She was charming today as well>

The two were going out

Some hours later

"I see, so it was this foreign duke who tried to kill my first son, eh?"

"It appears to be so, my king"

"Maria did a good job at making that trash spill the beans, and Olivia made a good decision about not sharing this information to Catherine"

"Yes, the queen would surely cause a scandal if they found her beating that duke to a near-dead state"

"You are absolutely right, but for now let's just keep an eye on him to see if something unexpected happens to him"

"Just a second, James"

James was about to leave the office room that Alexander used for these types of meetings when he was called by him

"What is it, my lord?"

"How has it been with Olivia?"

And he left the office room, leaving Alexander alone, he looked again at the documents regarding who sent the assassin

"I'll make sure that that little piece of shit will suffer a really painful death"

And with that said, he archived the documents and left his office

Timeskip

Anastasia was outside near the forest together with the three kids of Alexander, and she was teaching them a practical lesson on magic

"Alright, boy. You know what to do"

"Hm! *Nods*"

Douglas then sat down with his legs crossed as he began to control the amount of mana that he could release from one place and from his entire body, while Anastasia observed his progress

"Good, keep it like that. Now for you, brat"

"Don't call me brat! Call me next-in-throne Ricardo-sama!"

"... Hell no, you arrogant brat"

"You!"

"Keep quiet, or I won't teach you about magic"

"I'm really sorry, Anastasia-sama" *Bowing down*

"Very good, for now, try to feel your mana, if you have any since your magic gravity overwhelms your magical force by a lot"

"Yes!"

Ricardo began to try feeling his mana as little too hard

"Now for you, little girl... First, let's start with... No actually, can you already feel your mana inside you?"

She was asking Rose, the younger sister of both Douglas and Ricardo, who was having magic lessons for the first time together with Ricardo, and Anastasia could feel that her magic gravity was basically negligible in comparison to her magical core

"Is it a very warm feeling that I feel whenever I concentrate?"

"Yup! That's right, clever girl. That's one thing less, and you already know how to control it don't you?"

"Is it about concentrating the warm feeling around my body or making it stronger or weaker?"

"Correct! Alright, let's jump all the basics then! The easiest way, at least for me, to use magic, is simply by imagining it and releasing with your mana control, some people might find incantations, like saying water jet, or scrolls so that the magic circles are easier to make, so for now just try to imagine yourself... shooting a jet of water at the arrogant brat"

"Okay!"

Rose closed her eyes and began to imagine a jet of water coming out from in front of her hands as she pointed them at Ricardo, a magic circle formed right in front of her hands and then...

"Gyaaaaahhh!!! H, hey! Stop soaking me!"

"Huh?...! Anastasia-sensei, I did it!"

"Yes, yes, very good. And just to know did you put at full power that water jet?"

"Yes!"

"Then let's work on improving your mana control for now"

"Yes!"

And with that, she kept guiding them on how to control the flow, suppression, and release of their mana. After letting them controlling their mana, she stopped them

"Alright, I think it was enough training for now. So first suppress your mana completely if you can"

" " "Yes!" " "

The three suppressed their mana from leaking as much as they could, and Anastasia could only feel Rose's mana was still leaking in a considerable amount, but way less than before, as for the two boys, their mana leaking was non-existent

"Now, arrogant brat release your mana at full capacity"

"Heh! Prepare to be amazed"

Ricardo began to release his mana

"*Gasps* Wow! Your mana is so... Faint that it looks like a small candle that's about to burn out"

"Eh?"

"Honestly, arrogant brat, you should just do like your gramps and only train your body"

"Huh!? W, wait-"

"Now Rose release your mana"

"Yes!"

"!?"

Rose release her mana at full power, that was strong enough that even Ricardo who was basically insensitive to mana could feel her mana as a warm sensation

"Really impressive, clever girl. Your magical core is strong enough to extend to a few kilometers, impressive indeed"

"Ehehehe!" *Scratching the back of her head*

And now the only one left was Douglas, who was... Sleeping, of course

"Oi boy! Wake up!"

"Zzzzzz... Huh? *Yawn*... Yes, master?"

"Release your mana"

"Okay..."

" "!?!?!?" "

And he released his mana so suddenly that Anastasia almost felt like she went blind for a moment as if a flashing had gone off right in front of her, but she was used to it, but not the other two

Douglas' magical core was so strong that even Ricardo could feel as if he was being forced down by something that even made him fall to his knees, and Rose who was extremely sensitive to mana, felt not only as if she was being forced onto ground, but she also felt dizzy and sick. And his mana continued to grow stronger as he kept forcibly letting it loose, so much that Anastasia even put her sunglasses so that she could keep her eyes on his magical core

"... Did your magical core grew stronger?"

"... Maybe?..."

"I see... Well, you can stop now, because it's already going way out of my mana detection range"

"Okay..."

And he let his magic gravity go back to normal, that instantly stopped the mana from leaking

"Very good, boy. As expected from my disciple"

"That was incredible, nii-sama!"

"Thanks...*Patting Rose's head*"
