Chapter 79

The celebration lasted for three days; boy, it was massive. The entire city goes crazy partying. Alcohol flows as if it were river water, and there are many people unconscious on the ground the next day.

After three days of partying, drinking, and eating, we are done, and it is time to go back to Magnolia.

"Once again, thank you. We are sorry for the misunderstanding."

The king, Toma E. Fiore, bowed a little while apologizing to us. The rest of the people behind him also do the same, even the princess. Even after three days, the king keeps apologizing to the Fairy Tail Guild for arresting their member without strong evidence.

Well, I cannot blame them. The culprit is a member of the Fairy Tail guild, but she is coming from the future. Not only that, it was the future of an alternate universe instead of the same one as this one. That is the reason why I want to kill one of the dragons.

Master Makarov says with a giant smile on his face. The king smiles a little and says.

"Thank you, my friend. As a reward, please take this."

Toma tosses a piece of paper that Master Makarov catches. He opens the scroll and widens his eyes.

"This is…"

"A deed saying that the Fairy Tail guild is now a High-Ranking guild once again. Your guild can now take S-class and higher-ranking missions from now on."

"Phew~ I thought that I needed to talk with the Magic Council to let us become a High-Rank guild once again."

Toma smiles and says.

"You still need to do the paperwork, but at least it will not take a year or two to officially become a high-ranking guild. Anyway, thank you once again, Fairy Tail. Without your help, I don't know what happened to our country. Truly, thank you."

Makarov waves his hand with a laugh, and the king and his party leave us alone in the train station.

"Alright, people! Let's go back home!"

The others walk toward the train, but we stay behind. I can see Makarov and the others notice us, and he says.

"Ryan? Yasaka? What is it? Did you two forget something?"

I smile at him and say.

"It is not that, master. It is time we go home."

"Yeah. We will return to Magnolia now."

"No. It is time for us to return back where we came from."

"Ah, I see. Tell us when you will go, and I will find an airship to take you there."

"There is no need."

I can feel Grandeeney move, and suddenly, a massive portal appears behind us.

"Grandeeney?"

Wendy quickly runs toward the portal, but before she can get inside, Grandeeney stops her using her head. Wendy hugs her and starts crying while talking about how she misses her and wants to go with her.

After a couple of minutes, Grandeeney suddenly says.

"I want to take you, dear. I truly want to take you. However, the place I am currently staying in will kill you. I cannot take you with me. I am truly sorry, my daughter."

"Then! Then! You can stay here! You can come with us to Magnolia! We can stay together!"

"And I will put your family in danger with my presence. Acnologia hunted us down, and we did not want you to be in danger. He will hunt all dragons and dragon slayers that are still alive. We don't want that."

Wendy starts to cry once again, and Grandeeney lets her cry over her head. After a few seconds, Wendy wipes the tears out of her eyes and says.

"Then I will be stronger! Stronger than before! I will be so strong that you do not need to worry about Acnologia! I will be so strong that we can be one big happy family once again!"

Grandeeney smiles and says.

"And I cannot wait for that day to come, my daughter."

Grandeeney looks at Natsu and Gajeel before saying.

"The same is happening with your parents as well. Igneel and Metalicana are currently hiding and will appear when they think you are ready. Stay alive and get stronger so you can meet them once again."

The two of them nod their heads with eyes full of determination. She then looked back at her daughter before saying.

"I am sorry for leaving you, my daughter. However, it is for your own good. I hope that I can give one last goodbye when I leave you, but Acnologia is actively searching for me and the others."

"I understand, mother. You are doing what needs to be done because of me, and I never once blamed you for it."

"Thank you, dear."

She then looks at us and says.

"Let's go back. I don't want Acnologia to notice my presence."

We nod and walk through near the portal. We give one last wave before walking through the portal, and it closes behind us. I look at Grandeeney and say.

"Grandeeney, are you sure you can do that? You are in a half-dead state, right?"

"Not anymore. Because of your help, I regained my physical body again. Your Senjutsu heals my soul, and I can recreate my own body. I only need to regain my former strength before I can again protect my daughter."

"I see. That is good for you. Can we go back to our world?"

Grandeeney smiles and moves her wing to show me a portal.

"Go ahead. You only spend two hours of your time. I have heard of your plan to visit your parents, and I want you to give them my regards for me."

"I will."

After saying that, the four of us walked through the portal and arrived back at our home.
