27 Chapter 27

I grit my teeth as I keep pushing. The dragon in front of me roars and also keeps pushing my attack. I can see Yasaka gather a large amount of chakra inside her mouth and release a beam of attack. The other Youkai that are coming with me also unleash a barrage of attacks at the Evil Dragon.

Orochi roars once again and creates a dome around his body to block all the attacks. I use this opportunity and use everything I have.

"RAGH!"

I focused all the energy from Grandeeney into my right leg and my back. A massive wind appears behind my back to push me forward while the energy around my right leg increases the penetration power.

I keep pushing and pushing until I can see a crack in Orochi's defense. I used my last bit of energy and penetrated his defense, and my attack hit his head. I land on the ground and create a massive crack.

I look up, and half of his head is gone. However, instead of falling down, Orochi looks at me and says,

"Tell me your name, mortal."

I look him right in the eye and say.

"Ryan. Ryan Hernandes."

"Ryan! I, Yamata no Orochi, shall name you Dragon Slayer! Wear that title with pride, mortal! Get stronger! The next time we meet, our battle will be legendary!"

After saying that, Orochi fell to the ground, dead. I release a relieved sigh and deactivate my power. However, after I deactivated my power, the entire world started to get blurry, and my body started to sway around as I did not have enough strength to hold my own body weight.

My body falls to the ground, and the last thing I hear is Yasaka shouting my name before darkness starts to consume my vision.

Yasaka looks at the man in front of him with worry on her face. He is currently being taken care of by Shion. She looks at Yuki-Onna with a worried expression but with a hint of hope behind those worries.

After almost half an hour of checking and healing, Shion nods her head and says.

"He is good. However, there is a complication."

Yasaka gets up from her seat and says.

"Please tell me it was not something bad."

"It is bad for humans and other races but not for us, Youkai."

"What is it?"

"His life force. He uses his life force to a dangerous level. He will die of natural causes if left alone after two or three years from now on. However, we are Youkai, and we are masters of Life Force. We can restore it, and you already know how to do it."

Yasaka releases a sigh and says.

"That is good, and yes, I know how to do it. It's been a while since I used Bouchujutsu, but I can manage it."

"However! Don't ride him while he is asleep. His spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised."

Shion smiles a little when she sees Yasaka pouting at her words.

The mouse Youkai looks at Ryan in worry. She might not have yet talked to him, but She knows that he is a good person. In her book, Someone who is willing to stand against an Evil Dragon to help someone in need is a good person.

"He is fine. Shion is already healing his body, but his life force is almost extinguished from the previous attack."

"He used his life force to fuel his attack?! That is dangerous."

"Yes. If he is not careful, he will use all of his life force in that attack. Luckily, he did not do that. He still has a life force worth two to three years."

"That is good. Do you want me to call the specialist? They can fill his life force easily."

Yasaka shakes her head as she walks toward her room.

"No. I will do it."

"Huh? Are you sure? He is a stranger–"

Haruka stops her words before grinning from ear to ear. She looks at her lady with a grin on her face.

"He is your mate. He is the mysterious person who manages to get your heart."

Yasaka looks at her and nods her head. She will not lie about her relationship with Ryan.

"Yes. He is the one that has claimed me."

"Fufufufu~ Finally. I thought that you would never get another mate in your life. I approved."

"I don't need your approval."

Haruka only laughs at Yasaka's words as she continues to tease her childhood friend. After Yasaka puts Ryan on the bed, she looks at Haruka and says,

"How is Kunou?"

"Your daughter is still asleep, Yasaka. That man has already healed her, and she should be awake tomorrow morning."

"That is good. That is good. I'm glad that everything is going alright. However, I want this never to happen again. Haruka!"

Haruka's expression changes into a serious one when she hears Yasaka's change of tone.

"Yes, my lady. What can I do?"

"Take all your soldiers and investigate this matter. Check where they come from, check if they have connections to other organizations or factions, and check the village if the cult leaves anything behind."

"Yes, my lady!"

"Good. Go now."

Haruka nods and disappears from the room. After she leaves the room, Yasaka lies next to Ryan and puts her hand on his face. She controls her life force and heals Ryan's life force. She masterfully controls her ki, senjutsu, and chakra to heal Ryan's life force.

She opens her eyes and sees Ryan's peaceful face with a small smile.

"You stupid man… You should have run away when danger appeared in front of you… I don't want to lose another man in a fight… I guess that is what makes me like you. You and him are the same kind of man. A man who did not like to see his beloved one in danger. Someone who will jump on fire to protect their loved one. That is why I love you."

Yasaka leans over and kisses Ryan's forehead.

"Please wake up. Kunou will cry if she sees you like this… I will cry…"
