The city of Noctis [5]

My feelings towards Carmina were somewhat complicated although I knew they were superficial and based solely on appearance and the aura of mysticism that surrounded Carmina I simply couldn't ignore them.

And I didn't hide them too much either, so I decided to be silent for most of the meeting.

Upon entering I saw the reception that was made of granadillo wood that made it shine in a way that made it impossible for you to stop looking at it, well that would be if the person who saw it was not a nobleman.

This wood, although scarce, was generally used for the important furniture of a noble family, such as a room dedicated to the administration of the fief or an official meeting area in the mansion.

Stopping looking at the reception my sister approached and spoke to the receptionist.

"Hello, good morning, I am Catalina Ghialand and I am invited to room number 12"

Catalina took out a document and gave it to the receptionist.

The receptionist read it eagerly and nodded to Catalina, letting us pass.

Upon entering room number 12 I could see.

Andrea Faldrian, Hagrid Aledrián, Nazaría Jhuldrand and Carmina Anarson.

"But if it's you Rohan, I haven't seen you since I turned 12"

Andrea commented and stood up to give me a big hug.

He reciprocated the hug delicately.

"It's good to see that you're feeling well Andrea."

I released the hug and Andrea hugged Catalina fervently.

"My Catalina, it seems that you have followed my advice with your hair"

I heard my sister whispering to my cousin.

"Yes Andrea, but now is not the time"

At the end of the hug she addressed those present.

"He was sorry for the delay but my brother insisted that I come at the last minute and it took us a little longer than expected"

Catalina said, excusing herself, going to sit next to Andrea and Carmina while I sat next to Nazaria.

"Well how not to insist, you know I haven't seen you in a while."

"Why am I the only one who accompanies your father to alliance meetings?"

"I always see your brothers instead of you"

I said eloquently.

'Me and my big mouth, I was supposed to stay quiet'

Halgrid spoke for the first time since we entered the room.

"I'm usually training my swordsmanship and I was training these last 3 years and finally I became an aura acolyte"

Halgrid said manifesting a slight dark red aura in his hand.

"So that's why, congratulations on your promotion."

I said surprised when I saw the reddish aura in Halgrid's hands.

"So that's why you didn't attend our tea parties?"

Nazaria said slightly irritated.

"Or come on, you know I wouldn't miss them for anything if you were in all of them."

Halgrid said in a playful tone towards Nazaría causing her to blush slightly.

Upon hearing that I looked at Catalina and Andrea with an expression that could be translated into 'Since when do these idiots like each other?'

Andrea and Catalina looked at me with a face that said 'Get used to it'

Carmina looked at them with an expression where she could be seen slightly surprised.

Andrea turned to talk to Carmina.

"And you Carmi, what are you saying again?"

Andrea said in a curious tone.

'Carmi? Since when do Andrea and Carmina get along so well that they give each other nicknames?'

"Not much, I'm still stuck in creating my second magic circle"

"Oh come on Carmina, don't put pressure on yourself, building a second magic circle takes time."

My sister said in a comforting tone to Carmina.

"I'm just a little frustrated."

Carmina spoke, denoting her slightly depressed mood.

"Do you know she makes me feel better?"

"What makes you feel better?"

Carmina expressed surprise at my question.

"A good portion of chocolate cookies"

'I'm hungry'

"I don't understand why they only get together and drink only tea, from what I understand tea always comes with a dessert."

"You're right."

Carmina said in a relaxed tone, she touched a button on the table where our tea cups were and a few seconds later the waiter arrived with some snacks.
