The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER SIXTY TWO: JAMES' DEATH

Everyone was shocked by the new the following day. James Caskey had died in hospital from the wounds inflicted by a gun shot. At the Caskeys, everyone sat silent, lamenting. Of all the people, Old man Andrew was the saddest.

"We are sorry Mr. Andrew for loosing your heir. We send our condolences." The Dean's arrived. Dallas looked at the brown casket and couldn't believe he would never see his friend again.

"Till we meet in out next life James." He cried.

Diana was shocked beyond words. Till now she had fainted five times. Though James wasn't her brother biologically, he still worked hard to get the Caskeys to where they were. She would still appreciate his existence as long as she still remembers his name.

"That bitch!" She cursed. From the accounts of events, she knew James was shot by Naysa. She almost cursed herself for bringing home a girl whom she hadn't known well.

Roderick sat besides Livia. Though he didn't believe James' died by the bullet because when he went to hospital, the doctor said he only needed a blood transfusion. His arm would be fixed and he would survive this. But why?

"Who do those people think they are? The Grant's run the nation yes, but why would they end my friends life?" Dallas shouted.

"Shut your filthy mouth sinful son!" Senior Dean stopped him. " You got into trouble the other time, you still have the guts to repeat the same mistake?"

Senior Dean knew that if it weren't for James, Dallas wouldn't be swearing to the Grant's. He also knew too well, James'silly mind had landed Dallas in problems. So he wouldn't tolerate Dallas shouting the Grant's name. Who would bare the consequences?

Meanwhile; EMERALD CASTLE

The other night, Marina had spend her night at the apartment knowing Naysa was with Jemmy, Jemmy had slept peacefully knowing Naysa was with Marina while Naysa had slept in the Caskey's bathroom on the cold floor.

The following day, she heard about Naysa's suicide attempt and she had rushed to the castle. Dr. Albert was already there attending to her. Marina spend the night there, and the next morning she reported to work, knowing her sister was in safe hands. Cindy arrived that same evening.

Now, as she held the newspaper in her hands, she couldn't believe that James' Caskey was already dead.

Jemmy paced the room where Naysa lay unconscious. He wasn't in any mood to talk to anyone. He kept thinking about Naysa's words, imagining both the physical and emotional pain she went through till now.

"I think madam is risking her life too much." Frank said. "She wouldn't accept company but would still risk to go to the Caskeys."

"But I think she had a problem. When we left country LA, she behaved abnormally." Another guard said.

"The pilot said she cried earlier before everyone got in." Adrian said.

"What was the problem?" Frank asked.

"Who knows? Probably they had a misunderstanding."

Cindy walked into upstairs, snorting at the guards who were discussing about Naysa. She knocked on the room and a voice came. "Come in"

"Jemmy you can't skip meals just because Naysa is unconscious ok? At least come and eat." Cindy begged.

Since Jemmy stayed in the room, he had locked himself from the outside world. He wasn't even aware that James' was dead and old man Andrew was spreading false information that the Grant's and Naysa Haven had killed his own son.

"Is that all?" Jemmy asked. Cindy stood lost for a moment before smiling awkwardly.

"I'll be waiting for you downstairs." She said and left.

Hank had just arrived and got wind of the story. He went to meet his brother in the room where he was locked.

"The rumours had it that we personally has a hand in this. That lands your girl in more trouble than before." Hank said.

"Am going to blow up the castle at home. How dare dad insult my wife?" Jemmy at last said.

"What happened? You're going home to cause trouble I know, but right here in K nation, something else is going round." Hank said.

"If anyone dare mention her name, I'll break their arm or two. After all am not a saint." With that, Jemmy ordered Stenson who prepared a plane. In few minutes time, he was at the Grant's Mansion in country LA.

In Country LA:

Jemmy entered the mansion with a serious face even his father tensed. Mira, who had planned for Cindy to fly out K nation was all fears as she looked at Jemmy's face.

"Dad, do you care about how you feel, or I feel about other people?" Jemmy leaned on the door frame and asked. "Just the other day you two had the audacity to insult my woman, and lead her to the pain she went through recently right?"

"What are you talking about?" Mira piped.

"Will you shut up woman! Do you belong here?" Jemmy took bold steps towards Mira who in turn hid behind Augustine Grant's. "Dad of all the people, I didn't expect you to have such a small useless brain."

"Jemmy, Cindy's father died protecting your grandfather, how can we pretend we forgot that? Marrying her is like returning the favor." Augustine said.

"Returning the favor really..." Jemmy gave a dry laugh. "Whoever died protecting the other is none of my business. I have no feelings whatsoever towards that silly girl you're forcing me to. If you want to take in a second harlot, then go ahead and have her."

"How dare you call me a harlot you son of a bitch!" Mira spouted but regretted her own words. Jemmy felt the pain of someone insulting his own late biological mother, his eyes turned red and he tightened his knuckles so hard that it turned red. Mr. Augustine couldn't help Mira anymore. Her own mouth had gotten her in trouble with his son, he couldn't defend her and look bad in the eyes of his own son.

"I want this woman out of this compound, and this is not a request, it's a command!" Jemmy ordered.

"Jemmy how could you..." Mr. Augustine started.

"Are you defending her dad? Then fine, you and I will not relate. Once I stepp out of this compound, I'll never be back."

"How could you say that? What do you want your younger brothers to think of you?" Mr. Augustine asked.

"Think of me?" He laughed, " I don't care what they think, but this woman next to you have had plans to separate this family, you have finally let her succeed. Even if it were Hank or Larry, no one would tolerate their woman to be humilated the way you did to my woman." Jemmy walked out after his speech.

His relationship with his father had been ruined and he didn't intend to ever come back to country LA. He couldn't force his father to chase his own woman away, but at least he could decide to stay away forever with his wife. He had come to country LA a few minutes ago, but seeing his father was around, he didn't want to disobey him. He now left with a heavy heart. Mr. Augustine has chosen a woman over his own sons. Jemmy swallowed bitterly.
