The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER FORTY THREE: THE PLATE OF SPAGHETTI

Naysa spend the night at Emerald Castle in her room and not in Jemmy's room. Though they had spend the time together and become a bit closer than before. Early the next morning, she woke up and was told Jemmy had left earlier, promising to come back for her. She had called Marina and was told today's classes had bounced off, that means a day off. She had enough time to study the Emerald Castle.

Naysa walked into the kitchen and asked to prepare spaghetti and some instant noodles as she waited for breakfast. Though the maids protested wanting to make it for her, she insisted. She had been doing all the household chores since back so this wasn't a problem to her.

After cooking, she took the plate of spaghetti and sat in the living room eating alone while Pearl sat obediently next to her. She was also checking the group chats as she ate.

Lisa: mmh... The class president who currently doesn't attend classes.

Marina: because she got caught up with other things to do.

Lisa: other issues more important than the affairs of the class?

Ridden: Lisa, don't be stupid. For heaven's sake Naysa lost her mom. She has her uncle to take care of. Do you think class issues can be more important than family issues?

Naysa switched of the data and smiled. So Lisa was at it again?

Just then, Jemmy walked in with a small package. "Good morning..." He said and a voice too sweet for the ear.

"Good morning. Where are you from?"

"Can I have your spaghetti?" Jemmy asked another question instead.

"Sure."

Just when Jemmy lifted the fork, Cindy quickly walked in. "Don't eat that. Are you sure it's safe?" She shouted. Jemmy ignored her and eat.

"Cindy good morning." Naysa smiled at Cindy who had her eyes fixed on Jemmy as he squeezed next to Naysa and sat down. "You're funny, if it wasn't good for consumption, I wouldn't be taking it ok? So don't worry."

"You made it yourself?" Jemmy asked Naysa.

"Mmh... Do you like it?" Naysa asked.

"I can be taking noodles each day then." Jemmy said. Cindy really wanted to cry. She grew up in a family where she was spoilt as the Only daughter. She didn't even know how to cook. So Naysa didn't just outdo her in beauty but also in cooking? She knew she had a great work ahead. Angry, Cindy stormed into the kitchen, knocking down Aunty Wen who was carrying the meal to the dining table. She didn't even apologize.

When Naysa heard the commotion, she jumped up and hurried to the kitchen. Jemmy followed her. It was in time to see aunty Wen cursing and struggling to wake up. Naysa helped her up.

"Aunty am sorry." Naysa wiped her clothes with her hand.

"No Young miss... Am ok." Aunty Wen stopped her, looking at Jemmy who was glaring at her.

" No one else is allowed in my kitchen except the owner of the house and the maids." Jemmy said, looking hard at Cindy who stood frozen when she saw Naysa helping the elderly woman. "But she was in here not a few minutes ago." Cindy snorted.

"That's why I said, the owner of the house." Jemmy said, starting to leave followed by Naysa who winked at Cindy. Cindy couldn't help getting angry.

Hank had just entered and saw the plate of spaghetti. Curious as to how a plate of spaghetti was in the living room and not the dining, he went to eat. It was in time when Jemmy and Naysa came back from the kitchen.

"If you dare touch it Hank, I'll transport you back to LA." Jemmy said with a serious voice. Naysa almost laughed. Jemmy didn't want his brother to eat the noodles she made.

"What's so special about it?" Hank asked looking at Jemmy, then at Naysa. He could see they had grown closer than before.

"Brother in law, you can have it. I made it myself." Naysa said. She didn't expect Jemmy to snatch the plate of spaghetti before Hank could reach it, and before anyone could react, Jemmy was already heading upstairs. Naysa laughed.

"He's possessive." Hank sighed, sitting next to Pearl who barked at him.

"Pearl!" Naysa laughed out loud. Today wasn't Hank's good day. Even Pearl was angry at him for just sitting next to it.

"Damn dog. If you weren't for my sister in law, I would have kicked you hundred meters away." Hank said to Pearl.

Naysa picked up Pearl and the small package Jemmy had left and walked into Jemmy's bedroom. He sat there eating the spaghetti.

"You didn't have to do that. He's your brother." Naysa said.

"And so?" Jemmy asked. "Forget about Hank. Get me at Spark hotel."
