"Ah! Fine I won't..."

Jason sat close to his tube, he eyes focused on the gun, find their mum, unfreeze the earth, it's sounded so easy saying it but he knew it was much more dire than it looked.

They had no fighting experience, their chances for survival was 36%, they didn't know where the next bunker was, no maps, no trails, nothing, if they left, they might just get stranded somewhere in the snow.

"Jay, you should see this, I'm sure you'd really want to see it..."

Jane called out, she had happened to caught a glimpse of it when she walked by, a timer had been here all along and they didn't even notice it.

Jason broke away from his thoughts, and walked to towards Jane, he looked past her and saw the timer.

{April 12th 3533}

Last Known Date—-{July 4th 3033)

Jason took a step back, five hundred years had past, he wasn't 16, he was 516 years old, but he still had the body and thinking of a 16 year old. 5 centuries has passed, what exactly did they place in that tube that stopped them from dying.

"Jay there'a something else..."

"Huh? What.."

"Look.."

Jane pointed at the map in the glass case, Jason couldn't be more happy, this map would solve all their problems. Now they knew where the next bunker was.

"This is great, we can set off now.."

"But how do we get out of this place, it looks like it's sealed shut or can only be open from the outside.."

Jason nodded but that wasn't the case, it looked like it couldn't be opened from the inside but if it was like that, they wouldn't have placed a ladder in there or weapons.

"There's a way out, we have to prepare first..."

Everyone slowly prepared and placed their lingering fears behind their backs, boots were worn, head warmers, gloves and fur coats, the supplies were all placed into a bag, and their weapons were held in their hands.

"Garan, you take this bag, Kim, you take this and I'll take this. We don't know what's be out there so let's stay close to each other.."

Jason closed his eyes and took a deep breath, when he opened them they could see the determination oozing in them.

"Let's go.."

Jason began climbing, followed by Jane, Kim, April, Noah and finally Garan.

Crang!

The hatch was opened and Jason climbed out, he helped Jane out, before taking a brief survey of the terrain.

He could see frozen bodies that had broken over time, arms, legs, heads, spewed all over the place.

"They're froze solid..."

Garan tapped the ice, even if they reverse the reaction, he wasn't sure they would still be alive.

"They didn't run very far before the mist caught up to them. You can see that by how their heads are facing backwards even though they're running.."

Jason sighed his mother was also at this spot, could it have made it out.

"So far so good, none of these creatures are here.."

In line, they all walked carefully, after centuries, the world was still in ice age, the snow refused to thaw.

"You said you know the reaction that can reverse the freezing right?"

Garan spoke up, if all the snow were to melt, the world would be plunged with water.

"Yes, I do, why do you ask.."

"What are we going to about all the water that comes from this snow, there will be major flooding..."

Jason nodded, he hadn't thought of this before, but they could build dams around the places with civilizations and channels the water to other places.

"Dams, to protect civilization and pershaps a drainage system that can somehow transport the water some where else..."

Jason reasoned, they should focused on finding other people, they would need manpower if they wanted to build to dams.

Garan frowned, and looked at the sun, it's wasn't even powerful enough to thaw the snow, after so many years.

"How far are we from the next bunker.."

Kim asked, he could see his breath so tell you how cold it was, and his body was already looking for a warm place to rest.

"3000 miles from here.."

*...*

"It's so far, what if we run into those creatures?"

"Then we'll just have to fight, that's why we have the weapons that can kill them, one shot is enough.."

April bit her lips, her thoughts wondering to how scary these creatures would look.

Her thoughts did come true, as a loud growl was heard.

Growl!

They looked up and saw a bloody silhouette of a giant figure. The blood stained the snow as the silhouette grew bigger and bigger.

"Everyone ready your weapons, here comes the Tetras.."

Thump!

Thump!

The two legged, 7 feet tall, Tetras, came to full view, it's crimson red eyes, took a look at its prey.

They all held their breath at the terrify sight.

Growl! It roared loudly and it began to pick up its speed.

"Fire!"

Jason cocked his gun ready to shoot when he saw the rest of team where frozen, not because of the cold but from fear.

He hissed and turned to the Tretra, he pulled the trigger and fired a shot.

Boom!

The tetras stopped running and looked at its chest, all it needed was one shot, it's roared weakly before falling down, dead.

April blinked seeing in person, she seemed to have forgotten how to use the bow and arrow.

"This mistake could have caused you your lives, but since this was your first time seeing it, I understand why you were frozen but next time, whosoever freezes, will be slapped out of the shock. Let's go..."

They were 3000 miles away from the next bunker, which meant they would encounter more of these tetras, it would be a good way for them to get used to their weapons.

Jane took a step forward only to hear a crack under her feet.

Her eyes shook when she saw the frozen face.
