Chapter 177: The Art of War Part 2

Stunned by what their eyes saw, the Shinobi Alliance trembled in despair. Even if they weren't sensor type ninjas, they could sense the threatening aura that man had.

'This is going from bad to worse. Konan is here, I mustn't let the damage that guy will cause reach her. That also includes Hinata, Ino and Hanabi'

He could clearly feel how the Jūbi chakra was no longer something wild and meaningless. Now that chakra was centered, it was controlled by an intelligence higher than that of the beast with tails.

"Hm!" Hashirama raised his hand and performed his Myōjinmon [Gate of the Great God] jutsu which caused the wooden torii gates to land on Obito, pushing him to the ground.

Naruto celebrated this with a smile, but all that went to hell when Obito broke free from his bonds, breaking the torii doors and getting up off the ground like nothing. Right after that, he extended four of his tails like arms that broke the barrier and stunned all the shinobi.

Everyone stepped back and stood over one of the remaining torii gates. Toru flew close to them and frowned.

"I hate to say this, but that man is stronger than me" (Hashirama)

"It's disrespectful to say that, but unfortunately it's the truth" (Hiruzen)

"Even if we cancel all the remaining clones, we will still be at a disadvantage" (Tobirama)

"Haha. It's funny to see the Hokages going backwards. However, more than that, I'm surprised to see someone with the Rinnegan on such a nasty face. You are identical to that traitor."

Madara chuckled, as he was referring to Toru, who was flying a little above the Hokage.

"Toru... are you flying?" Naruto said surprised and confused.

"It's a very confusing long story. If you ask me, I won't know how to answer you. Besides, is my face that unpleasant? I didn't know that. I'll keep that in mind for the next one. Maybe I should wear a mask"

"No, boy. Don't listen to him. It's just that your face reminds Madara of a certain person he holds a grudge against."

Obviously Hashirama knew that Toru looks like the one who started the Asahi clan. This one, being a descendant of the main family, it was obvious that he would be born with at least some trait or resemblance to his ancestor. Although he did not imagine that it would be so similar.

Toru, on the other hand, saw that the situation could not be worse and backed up next to Naruto and Sasuke. Eventually the seals exploded and Hashirama used his body as a wooden trap, thus imprisoning Obito. Tobirama acted after this, using a jutsu very similar to the one Konan used that time against the same fake Madara, but unlike Konan's Jutsu, it made the roles summon more exploding roles and so on.

The explosions generated a lot of dust that was raised and prevented from seeing the enemy. In the end, the result was the same…

Obito was not harmed in any way. He came out of the dust looking at everyone with a frown. This forced Hiruzen to join the fight, who summoned a lot of large shurikens that came out fired at Obito, but he used that strange black mass that came out of his hands to pulverize the shurikens. A second later, he extended the black mass as if it were a bullet and pierced Hiruzen's shoulder, thus propelling himself and at the same time grabbing the old man's head.

Toru could no longer stand idly by. He needed to do something before this deranged guy starts attacking the shinobi. If that happens, Konan will get hurt.

"Don't go, Toru!" Minato screamed as he saw Toru fly up to Obito.

Toru ignored him and his Rinnegan sharpened. He appeared in front of Obito and extended his arms while glaring at him.

"From now on, you won't do anything else besides die. Shinra Tensei!"

The invisible force of the Deva Path pushed Obito to the ground and crushed him among the rocks. Toru looked at this and thought that he could at least immobilize him for a few seconds while carrying a Saigo no Yoake into the sky, but when he felt the presence of that wretch behind him, he immediately came to the conclusion that his calculations had failed.

Splash! Óbito pierced Toru's back until his strange weapon came out through the abdomen of the same. He then punched him with his fist and sent him flying to the ground.

"Toru!" Naruto jumped in to help him.

At the same time, the real Hashirama also rushed to fight Obito, but Madara got in the way. He brandished his gunbai and smiled defiantly remembering the old days.

"I'm not going to wait any longer, Hashirama!"

Hashirama just felt cornered. There was nothing he could do if Madara kept insisting on fighting. He had to confront Obito, he had to stop him, but this man was not going to let him.

And so, the fight of these two titans began.

"By no means. I'm bleeding out... I have to close my wound by burning it" He sat down on the floor and tried to bring his Shakuton-imbued hand closer.

"Don't do that!" but Katsuyu's voice resonated and she herself came out of Toru's cloak. "Ino-san ordered me to heal you in case this happened"

"I see. I'm causing that girl more trouble. Send him an apology from me"

Katsuyu was silent for a second as she relayed Toru's message. After that, approaching Toru's abdomen, she looked at him and said:

"She says she won't accept your apology. That you better fight and get out of this alive because she will beat you when this is all over."

"Heh..." Toru smiled. "I see..."

Katsuyu cocked her little slug head a little confused. Why are these words funny to this guy? Well, it's because…

He got up from the ground in some pain while being healed by Katsuyu.

"Toru! Are you okay?!" said Naruto appearing in front of him brought Sasuke and Minato together.

"Yes. You don't have to scream" he replied.

Minato looked at Obito and raised his guard when he saw him approaching.

"Everyone get ready"

But something strange happened. Before Obito could get there, his entire body swelled up and he fell to the ground under the weight of his own chakra. This showed that he has not yet become accustomed to the Jūbi chakra. Minato took advantage of this and pulled out a bunch of kunais with the brand of his star jutsu. He is willing to take down Obito while he was still weak, but Naruto sensed something that made Minato stop in his tracks.

"TORU, UNDER YOU!"

Toru jumped when he heard that. Obito's upper body came out of the ground with murderous intentions. If Naruto hadn't said anything to Toru, he probably would have died so now he owes his life to this guy. However, the Death attack did not end there. Since he extended his weapon and tried to kill Toru at any cost, only he didn't succeed, since Toru took advantage of the fact that he could fly to dodge him fast.

Seeing that his attack didn't work, Obito opted to attack Naruto. So, he extended his strange weapon aiming right at the head, but Sasuke summoned Susanoo and prevented him.

"I will be the one to eliminate the past" he said with that disturbing face.

Even so, bragging about it didn't work for Sasuke as Obito took both Naruto and Sasuke by the head and loaded their weapons to kill them in one fell swoop.

Boom! But Toru wasn't going to let him. Losing Sasuke and Naruto decreases the chances of defeating the enemy. Letting them die doesn't benefit him. Also, he didn't want to feel guilty for letting them die, so he hit Obito's head with his fist wrapped in flames and the activated senjutsu, causing this guy's face to sink into the ground.

In fact, in that very microsecond, Toru realized that this somehow hurt Obito a little bit. With this information, he retreated back together with Naruto and Sasuke and regrouped with Minato.

"We have to defeat him while he can't control his body"

While Minato was saying this, Obito, with the right part of his body swollen in a grotesque way, raised his hand and the black sphere that was formed expanded. Which forced everyone to take a leap backwards so as not to receive the damage.

In this man's mind, an old photo of his team appeared. The images of Kakashi and Minato's faces were torn off the paper next to their own image. There was just that girl who was the only light in his life…

She was going to disappear too, but he closed his eyes and refused to accept this. The photo was fixed and his memories remained tied to his mind.

Obito got up, held his cane and stared into the void with a new body. He closed his eyes and exhaled. This is how it felt to be able to control this power and, now that he had managed to evolve into a higher being, he felt confident in himself. The time has come to complete the plan…

"Finally, sensei" he said.

Clang! Obito's cane and Minato's kunai collided. Even though this seemed to want to turn into a strength fight, Obito just raised his hand and ripped off Minato's arm with one of the black spheres floating behind his head.

The Yondaime retreated and raised its remaining arm to stop Toru and company. But he noticed that one of the black spheres was on his amputated arm and frowned.

"I have to teleport this!"

However, Tobirama appeared and took the sphere to where Obito.

"Here you go, I'll give it back to you"

Boom! In the end it exploded, but Obito managed to mold one of the spheres into a shield and thus not receive damage. This left everyone confused. While Minato and the others were trying to think of something, Toru already had a plan in his mind.

"Naruto! Sasuke!"

The Rinnegan sharpened in his eyes and ran to where Obito. Naruto and Sasuke followed him.

"What are you planning to do?" Sasuke asked.

"Naruto will use Rasen Shuriken and you will use Amaterasu to power up the Rasengan. I will be behind you and I will use Shimikomaseru to apply the nature of my Kekkei Genkai and thus boost the damage by a hundred."

"I see. That sounds interesting." Naruto stepped forward and held out his hand. Instantly, the Rasen Shuriken was formed in his palm and Sasuke accompanied him by applying the Amaterasu in that jutsu.

Toru went behind them and finally felt that he could check if his hypothesis was true. Even with the Rinnegan activated, he pointed both hands at the Rasen Shuriken and this increased the speed at which it rotated, as it slowly began to get bigger and merge its color with the black flames of the Amaterasu.

Minato tried to stop them, but realized that maybe that will work. So he jumped in to support them.

Seeing this, Obito became confident and raised his hand to make his counterattack. In a second, Minato appeared in front of Obito and the latter used him as a shield. Toru didn't care about this and pushed Naruto and Sasuke to do this. Tobirama, at the same time, took advantage of the fact that Obito had Minato and used Hiraishin to replace himself with the latter.

With this, Tobirama held Obito tight and did not allow him to escape.

"Now!" Toru increased the senjutsu chakra that he was sending to the Shuriken and this twist like a zipper that hit Obito's abdomen.

Everyone retreated, as the Shuriken expanded and exploded along with Obito.

'Did it work?' Toru frowned. He didn't know if it would work, but he discovered that he could use the Rinnegan combined with the senjutsu.

"Who knew..."

Coming out of the smoke, Obito looked at everyone with murderous intentions. He felt pain after so long since the right part of his torso had disappeared with that attack.

"They are more dangerous than they look. I will not leave any of you alive." Saying this, he soared into the sky and looked at Minato specifically.

"It worked..."

"What do you mean, Toru?" Naruto asked.

"I put the senjutsu chakra into the shuriken. That means that the senjutsu is capable of damaging it. We have to take advantage of this and, before he recovers, we have to kill him. I could use Saigo no Yoake on him to disintegrate him, but I don't think he's dumb enough to stand still waiting for my jutsu to hit him."

"Then what are you planning?" Sasuke looked at Obito with a frown.

"That's what I'll do. I have no other choice"

"This is how things will end, this is how everything will end"

The monster covered Toru's eyes and the boy continued.

"Let me help you, onii-san"

"Toru...?" Realizing that Toru was acting weird, Naruto extended his hand. However…

Toru exhaled hot air and his hair covered his eyes. He put away the Zetsu scroll and took out the daggers. He slowly walked forward and looked at Obito. Obito saw this a little funny. They all acted in unison, as if they were one. It was surprising to see, but this delayed his plan. Shaking his head, he felt that the one responsible for all this appeared in front of him.

"There's a fly bothering"

He raised the staff and two of the black spheres floated in front of him, which turned into a shield that for a moment seemed to stop the attack, but the shield broke into pieces when Toru touched it with his daggers and Obito looked at this calmly, as if the world was in slow motion.

"There is something strange with you"

He was curious. Toru had a strange energy that did not resemble the chakra and somehow, having become the Rikudo, Obito could feel it.

"I see, it's not chakra"

He extended his hand with the staff as the pieces of the shield fell to the ground. He frowned in disgust and prepared his attack.

"What an unpleasant energy you have"

The cane extended in a split second and stabbed Toru in the abdomen. Toru was looking at Obito with a disturbed expression of crimson glow in his eyes. After receiving the attack, Toru opened his eyes in shock from the pain and then was hit by the expansion of another of the black spheres that turned into a shield consequently, ending up burying him in the ground.

Meanwhile, the Bijūdamas shot out and were successfully diverted thanks to the cooperation of everyone in the Alliance. Minato grabbed Naruto with one of the tails of the Kyūbi to prevent him from being hit by one of the Bijūdamas and something strange happened. The two minds connected and somehow saw themselves in front of two different versions of Kurama.

It was here that everything became clear in Naruto's mind.

Acting fast, using her paper wings, Konan picked Toru up from the ground and frowned at him.

"It's already becoming a habit..."

He gently took him in her arms and carried him with the other shinobi while Minato and Naruto take the form of Kurama and launch a mega Rasengan with senjutsu against Óbito.

"It's exactly as I remember it. This fool always jumps into danger without thinking if he can die in the attempt" Ino put her hands on the wound and began to heal it. Toru was knocked unconscious the moment he crashed to the ground, as just over half of his chakra was drained with that attack. Fortunately Obito ignored Toru after that attack, because for him the existence of this boy was the same as that of a fly.

"It's amazing that he's so resilient" Sakura said.

She was surprised. Although he was getting seriously injured every now and then, he resisted too well. It even got to be a little creepy. Hinata and Hanabi were also there, silently watching as Toru recovers. Neither of us had anything to say about it. It seemed that the only one who could still strike up a conversation with Toru was Ino.

"How long will it take?" Konan asked.

Charging the full power of the Bijūdama, Naruto and Minato aimed at Obito a second time as the Rasengan from before failed to damage him. Using the senjutsu chakra, the Bijūdama was ready to be launched, but something bad happened at that moment. A little nearby, Toru watched as Obito performed a certain amount of seals on his hands and then hit his palms with each other.

"The time has come" he said, and from his back, Jūbi came out again, falling on the ground and sinking his limbs into it.

The Jubi began to extend its limbs like hundreds of roots that seemed to follow the chakra, because, when these were expelled, they went directly to the shinobi. That's when Toru really got to see the horrors of this war with his own eyes.

"It can't be..."

The roots began to attack the shinobi and, the moment they managed to attack them, they extracted all their chakra, thus leaving them lying among all this slaughter, like mummified corpses without vital force. Seeing this, Toru joined his hands and summoned dozens of wooden clones, which, with the Rinnegan, launched an attack on the roots. One of the clones in particular went to where Konan and the other girls were, managing to reach them before the branches managed to touch them.

"Toru!" they shouted in unison.

The wooden clone was hit by the roots, but instead of draining the chakra, the roots moved away from him as if they were scared. Both Konan and the other girls were shocked to see this. In addition, the clone watched as the roots ran away from their other clones and avoided at any cost approaching the original Toru.

From above, Obito noticed this.

"Hm... no one in their right mind would want to get close to such a disgusting and unpleasant energy source"

This made Toru stay silent while something invisible hit him hard. He could feel it for a second and, to some extent, see it as he was being thrown away from there.
