Chapter 150: Inheritance from the Future (2)

Koyomi and Eleanor weren't sure how to feel about this. Moments ago they saw their father slit a man's throat with an emotionless look. That man somehow had a certain aura much like that of the Nanadaime Naruto. However, now they were also facing Toru, who, after talking to Konan, was left alone in the hallway.

*Drip...*

*Drip...*

'Otou-chan...' Koyomi looked at her father, who was currently staring at the ceiling, small tears sliding down his cheeks.

Eleanor was no exception, as, like her sister, she too was forced to watch this scene.

One of the reasons why Koyomi doesn't get along so well with her father is because he always looks so calm and doesn't usually talk more than necessary. In fact, Toru is a rather distant man with his children.

Now there was no doubt that perhaps this moment had triggered some kind of trauma in Toru. Still... this moment was only a small part of this boy's suffering.

***

After watching in silence for a few minutes, both sisters followed Toru, still using stealth to avoid being discovered.

Koyomi walked with her eyes on the ground, while Eleanor followed her silently.

Toru walked in front of them with his eyes on the ground.

Right there, Koyomi remembered something from her childhood. Her family never lacked for anything. They had a big mansion and a lot of money, but Koyomi always felt that something was missing. And as ridiculous as it sounds at this point, she just wanted the attention of her father, who always remained so distant with his daughters.

She looked at her father's face, he had a very different expression from the one she knew. There was a certain sadness in that almost expressionless face.

A few minutes passed until Toru entered a strange place, a place that had a rather strange smell that reminded her of a certain troubled person with financial problems. Eleanor knew right away what this place was. Almost ten seconds later Toru came out, but now he had a bottle in his hand.

'That's sake...' Koyomi stood in front of the tavern as Toru walked away in the direction of a dead end.

Watching her father murder a man who seemed to know him, watching him cry alone and silent... she felt bad that she had come to this place just for this. Although at first Koyomi was excited, now she couldn't help but think that what she was doing was wrong.

Being Toru's second daughter, Eleanor understood Koyomi quite well. The two grew up together and even a few months ago she watched her sister graduate from the Shinobi Academy.

'Onee-sama... do you hate our father? You always act so haughty and selfish in front of him' She just watched her sister look at the alley silently as she thought. 'Maybe... maybe we can...' Without realizing it, she took her sister's hand and looked at her face.

Koyomi felt the touch of her sister's warm hand and looked at her expectantly.

Both of their eyes glowed with the light of death. The hands of a clock stood still in Koyomi's eyes, while that blue color like the sky shone faintly in her right eye. At the same time, Eleanor's eyes presented a similar condition to that of her sister. Both eyes had a strange six-pointed black star slowly turning inside her pupil, which changed to the same sky blue color.

Although Eleanor had warned Koyomi about being in the past, this stubborn girl did not listen. Right now, Eleanor felt that her older sister had regretted coming after seeing Toru crying alone in that hallway.

Both sisters, until now, had a different image of their father. He was a cold man, whose words were always straight to the point. He cared about nothing but his family, but his way of showing it was disastrous. Toru kept his distance from his daughters, didn't talk to them much, and when he did, his words were cutting and in some cases, hurtful to everyone.

Eleanor understood this, she was the most responsible and "adult" of all her sisters and brothers. Her mind had some advanced understanding of the human mentality and, in general, of all thinking beings she knew.

She unconsciously walked in front of her sister without letting go of her hand. Before it was Koyomi who dragged Eleanor into action, but now it was Eleanor who guided her sister to think more rationally.

They were in the past and could take advantage of this to clear things up.

As they slowly walked to the alley, a brief memory came to Eleanor's mind. She was looking at herself five years ago in front of Toru, her father. He was stroking her head with a slight smile, that memory was very beautiful and precious to Eleanor. But over time, that kind attitude in her father was replaced by emotionless looks and, sometimes, worried and disappointed looks.

Ironically, though, they had only misunderstood their father, like so many other people throughout their lives.

***

Toru felt a pounding headache, which was quickly replaced by a heavy feeling in his eyelids. His face showed no onset of drunkenness, but his almost blank stare gave him away.

In one gulp, he downed almost a quarter of the bottle in his hand.

The sake was quite strong, so much so that he felt his throat burn, but it was no big deal if he remembered that he used to imbue his throat with Shakuton to throw boiled water as a defensive jutsu.

"That's amazing..." Toru rested his back on the boxes and looked up at the sky. "Ha~...." Somehow it felt good. There was a small feeling that blocked out all the pain he felt, and that was quite pleasant.

Without waiting any longer, he brought his lips to the bottle and poured another large amount of the alcoholic contents down his throat. He waited another few seconds and felt that heavy feeling increase.

Needless to say, Toru is quite weak when it comes to consuming alcoholic beverages, as he had never done anything like this before in his life. Even in his past life his body was completely healthy, without a drop of alcohol. After all, he hated alcohol because of the mother in his past life.

Yet here he was, with a bottle in his hand, just like that fucking bitch.

"Fufufu..." A tear spilled down his cheek, at the same time a small laugh came out of his mouth. "Hahahahahahaha!" he covered his eyes with one hand as he tapped his heels on the floor.

It was funny, it was ironic. The alcohol was making him act strange. Even he didn't understand this. He felt good, he felt terrible. His blood was boiling, but somehow he found that soothing.

For a moment, he let go of everything that was tormenting him and relaxed.

*Glup*

He drank another large amount of sake and rectified his back posture, which made him look straight ahead.

"Hm...?" he tilted his head curiously. There was someone there. More than one person to be exact.

No... were there more? Toru couldn't understand how his vision suddenly got so blurry. Well, in and of itself his vision was already in ruins because of the Kodō Shigan, or as his ancestor called it, Mangekyo Shigan. But now he felt how everything became double, as if they were shadow clones.

"Haha..." He tried to get up, but stumbled and went back to the same place as before. Still, he looked at the bottle and realized he was almost halfway through it. So he drank another bit, making sure not to waste this precious liquid that would eventually destroy his liver.

"Woaah!" he smiled in satisfaction at how delicious this sake was. At first it was bitter and tasted a bit unpleasant, but now he could truly feel the taste of sake.

It was perfect, delicious and gave him just what he wanted. It made him forget about everything around him and gave him a moment of real fun that he would surely end up forgetting the next day. However, nothing mattered to him now.

He drank even more and sighed contentedly.

Even though the voices of so many people echoed near him, he didn't even care about that. The alcohol took care of his worries, so now nothing could bother him.

However, as he drank another bit of sake, the Kodō Shigan in his eyes automatically activated, he felt a shiver down his spine and, unconsciously, he jumped backwards, dodging two shuriken that dug into the wooden boxes.

He then landed on the crates, but suddenly felt very dizzy, which made him fall backwards against the crates. Obviously, Toru made sure not to spill a drop of sake with his quick movements. Even when he fell, he held the bottle up to prevent it from breaking.

"Eleanor-chan, what are you doing?"

Koyomi, as expected, was surprised by the audacity her sister suddenly aroused. Eleanor had stayed with her hand outstretched after throwing the shurikens, however....

*shudder*

Even Eleanor didn't know what she had done. Her trembling hand remained pointing at the spot where the shurikens collided and her eyes were slightly open after realizing what she had done.

"Would you believe me if I told you I didn't have the slightest idea? " Even Eleanor couldn't move.

The shurikens were so fast that Toru could barely dodge them. Then he stood up from between the boxes and sat down while looking in front of him. He tried to clear his vision and a small memory came to his mind.

"You... have I seen you somewhere?" he wobbled even while sitting, but surprisingly he kept his balance on the hand that held the bottle. "You're the girl who bumped into me yesterday and you're the girl who was with her" Toru nodded his head. His memory was still very good, even in a sorry state like this.

At the same time, Koyomi and Eleanor stared at the drunk guy in front of them. Quickly the shyness and guilt in them disappeared, being replaced by facial expressions that seemed to say "Are you serious?". Still, they relaxed and slowly approached.

Toru took advantage of the quiet time after being attacked to drink another bit of sake. "Well, I want to ask something, why am I being attacked, did I do something wrong?" With slightly heavy eyelids, he touched his head and then picked up the shurikens that were stuck in the boxes below him. "Wow. This is great!" He suddenly raised his arms in the air as he realized something.

The metal of the shurikens was too good, almost as if it wasn't from this era. He began to chuckle due to this fact, as his mind was going round and round, which also made him notice ridiculous things he would never have imagined.

"Uh..." Eleanor and Koyomi got close enough to Toru, but they didn't know what to say.

Koyomi looked around for the words to explain everything, but Eleanor clenched her fists and took a deep breath. Then, she looked at Toru and said, "I'm sorry for attacking you earlier, I don't know what came over me. still, I have something I want to tell you!"

Koyomi and Toru looked confused.

"Okay!" he smiled lifting the bottle, he also put his feet together and set the bottle still aside. "Come on! Say it! Say it!"

"Uh... well... I... I... I..." This was harder than it sounded. Even if Eleanor managed to muster the courage to start a conversation, she didn't have the strength to finish it. "I'm your daughter! ... And so is she!" She pointed to Koyomi with her hands.

Toru was silent for a second. He blinked a couple of times, took the sake bottle in his hand and started walking in the direction of the alley exit.

"Hm..." He stopped halfway, looked at the girls, then looked down at himself in a puddle of water and sighed. "I should go buy cigars too..." He smiled innocently as he walked away, however, he felt something tug at his scarf, making him fall to the ground.

"Mou~ it's always so hard to talk to you, Otou-chan" It was Koyomi who stopped Toru by pulling the scarf.

Eleanor sighed a little more relieved. Now the two sisters were in this and there was no turning back.

"There are a lot of pranksters these days" Trying not to water the sake and lying on the ground, Toru looked up at the sky. In his field of vision were two very different looking girls. "Hahahaha, come to think of it that's pretty ridiculous!" He sat down on the ground and drank another bit of sake.

The girls looked at him and sighed wearily.

"I'm serious, very serious" Eleanor was more direct with her words.

Still, it still seemed like a tasteless joke that no drunk guy would believe... almost. Toru still had a bit of a brain in this condition, so he could suspect a lot of things from this.

*Shiiaan...* However, his Kodō Shigan activated again against his will and that's when he saw it. Those girls also had eyes similar to his own. He hadn't realized it until now, but these girls had silver eyes, just like his own. However, those silver eyes were soon replaced by eyes that looked straight to death. With a light as blue as the sky, with a small six-pointed star and two clock hands rotating inside their pupils.

Toru, who until now was joking because of the alcohol, fell silent and looked at the ground. He thought he was free of worries, but this was just beginning.

"It's not possible for me to have daughters. I'm 16 years old and a virgin. Hahaha. But it's really weird that they have Shigan too. Are they from the Asahi clan too? Did they survive the massacre? Uh..." He remembered at that moment. Madara had told Toru that only the main family of the Asahi clan possesses the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, so it's not possible for anyone besides him to have the Shigan.

"I am telling the truth. I'm not lying, you are our father. Well... in the future..."

That word "future" made Toru's eyes light up and, in one swift movement, he grabbed Eleanor by the hands and looked at her excitedly. "From the future!!! Is it even possible!!!" Time travel was impossible, even with all the resources available, creating a device that would allow anyone to travel between timelines was next to impossible. It would not yield good results.

But what if there was a person capable of having an ability to time travel?

His question was answered when Koyomi removed her eye patch. There it revealed an inorganic-looking golden watch, whose hands turned slowly like those of a normal mechanical watch.

"So... it was you..." Toru folded his arms, walked slowly to the boxes and sat down. There, he thought for another three more seconds and nodded his head. "If what they say is true, then... I... have a family, is that right?"

Eleanor and Koyomi looked at each other and smiled. When Toru is drunk, it's easier to talk to him. Basically this boy's personality is completely opposite to his original personality. That's why he smiles, talks a lot and seems to have fun with every single thing he does.

These two girls thought it was funny, although they obviously think that alcohol is something harmful to the body.

"We can't tell you much, otherwise..."

Toru interrupted Eleanor. "Otherwise another timeline will be created in which the events happen differently. hahaha! Sounds very interesting. I love these things, they make me feel very important and invincible."

Well... these girls already knew that Toru loves scientific things, but it seemed that the Toru of the past doesn't employ science very often, unlike the Toru of the future.

"Wait. Let's go for a walk for a while. I feel bored standing in this alley. Come on, let's go" He looked at the girls in front of him and then jumped onto the roof of the building next door. Once there, he looked at the bottle, staggered for a second and drank all the sake that was left, which was a lot. "Ha~ what a delight" He threw the bottle into the void and then a scream was heard. It seemed like the bottle fell on someone's head. "Are you okay!"

"You bastard!"

"I'm sorry!"

After going upstairs, both girls looked at Toru, who looked more cheerful than ever.

After a few seconds, together they walked and jumped on the roofs. Koyomi and Eleanor followed Toru without knowing where he was taking them. It went like this until they reached Pain's statue. There, Toru sat on the statue's head and then laid down there.

"What does the future look like?" asked Toru.

To which Eleanor, a little nervously, replied, "We can't tell you much about it. Still, I'm surprised by the fact that you've decided to believe us."

"Well...you two have the Shigan. If you're not from the main family of the Asahi clan, it's impossible for you to have it, so by rule out, you two are my descendants. But it's hard for me to believe that someone would love a person like me, even form a family with me in the future. It's hard to believe." He smiled nostalgically as he stretched a little.

Koyomi and Eleanor didn't know what to say when Toru spoke. They were more confused now than when they arrived.

In fact, Koyomi thought about everything she saw and realized that she didn't know anything about her father. In the future, the two of them didn't know each other... they were just father and daughter, nothing more. But now, Koyomi could understand a little bit of why her father is like that.

'Someone like me...' That word echoed in her mind.

Toru didn't seem to love himself, indeed, even Koyomi came to feel that Toru felt disgusted with himself. And that was something that somehow made her chest ache.

Now, Koyomi clenched her fists and made a serious expression on her face. "Before... you... you were crying... why?"

Toru's eyes widened a little as he remembered everything that happened these days. He sat up and touched his head in pain. 'Deidara... Itachi...' And so it went... for a long time.

Silently, he recalled his childhood together with Itachi and Sasuke. He remembered all the missions he did together with Deidara and Sasori, Hidan and Kakuzu. Toru somehow had fun being together with them. He looked at himself and realized what he had lost. They were his friends...

You certainly don't realize what you have until you lose it. It was like that when Toru lost his mother, it was like that when he was forced to flee his homeland, it was like that when Sasori died... over and over again... repeating the same process. A vicious circle that seemed endless, that was never going to end and, in the center of that circle, Toru was bound in chains, waiting for the cycle to repeat itself.

"Otou-chan..." Koyomi reached out her hand and touched Toru's shoulder.

Eleanor did the same.

Feeling the warmth of these girls, Toru reacted and smiled. "I'm fine... I'm used to this... I've always been used to this..."

[Otou-sama is lying...] Eleanor looked at her sister worriedly.

[And the worst of all is that he does not realize it...].

At this moment, Toru is crying. The Shigan activated in his eyes and a small tear of blood spilled out. But here, what Toru couldn't see... is that the girls behind him are feeling the same as him. Precisely because the Shigan in the eyes of both of them has also activated and just like their father, a small tear of blood was shed.

"They had better go back to where they belong. Their parents must be worried..."

Neither of the two girls responded. Instead, Toru felt the breathing of both of them at his sides. So he looked at them.

"Otou-chan..."

"Otou-sama..."

He did not understand this. Why were they still here? Surely this was just a hallucination because of the alcohol. And somehow he convinced himself of that. This wasn't real, just Toru feeling lonely. At the same time, Koyomi and Eleanor looked at that man that Toru became in the future he was far away from the current Toru. Likewise, at this moment. They only saw that Toru had nothing, that this boy... was completely alone and suffered because of this.

"¿...?"

Both girls took Toru's hands and looked into his eyes. Now understanding a little more about themselves and about the father they have.

"It's been hard, hasn't it?"

"You've suffered a lot..."

"What are you talking about?" Toru sighed and looked down at his hands.

Although he believed this is a hallucination, the warmth of these two girls' hands was real. It was soothing, it calmed his troubled mind.

"What we want to say is that you don't feel good. You're not happy, am I wrong?" Koyomi was direct with her words. Since, judging from the situation, Toru's life at this time seems to be quite difficult, quite lonely and depressing. And, remembering that in her future she has everything to be happy, Toru simply has none of that, which led her to reflect on the attitude she has shown towards her father in the future. 'I understand everything better now. Forgive me, Otou-chan. When I come back I will apologize' She held Toru's hand gently and closed her eyes.

At the same time, Eleanor saw her older sister and smiled slightly. 'At last you see what I saw from the beginning, don't you?'

However, these words were not enough to melt the ice in Toru's heart, who only shook his head. Still, being mentioned happiness in his own life forced him to think about his two lives. He quickly realized something. He was never really happy, never able to smile like a child together with his family. The only people who perhaps managed to awaken a small trace of happiness are no longer near him, or are simply not alive.

"Uh?" Both girls hugged him without warning. They looked into his eyes and smiled at him.

"Don't let those feelings consume you, Otou-sama" Eleanor moved her face closer to meet her father's eyes.

Doing the same, Koyomi no longer felt burdened by all the thoughts that gave her heart and mind a good blow. "We can't tell you anything about the future, but we are sure of something."

"You'll be happy, we promise." x2

*Click* A metallic sound behind Toru's head was heard. Then, he felt a warmth he had never imagined in his life. Those girls, gave him an innocent kiss on his cheeks. He didn't understand why, but still... why did he feel like crying again?

Bang! However, the sound of a bullet detonation echoed throughout Amegakure. Toru's eyes closed, falling unconscious on Eleanor's lap.

Koyomi was holding the Flintlock, from which a small cloud of smoke was billowing out. She had a guilty look on her face, but she was still able to resist that guilt.

"So... you erased her memory, didn't you? After all only you and your mom can do that" She stroked the unconscious Toru's hair.

In response, Koyomi lowered the gun and stood up. "I had no choice. It's time to go home."

"I know..."

Eleanor laid Toru down carefully and approached her sister. Koyomi reached out her hand and pointed it at Toru. 'I just want to see one more thing...' Bang! Another detonation echoed and then her eyes widened in shock. 'Otou-chan...' Her hand trembled and she squeezed the gun tightly. She saw... 'How could you possibly be able to endure so much?'

Trying to hold back the tears brought on by what she saw in Toru's memories, Koyomi took Eleanor by the hand and together they disappeared.

***

However, their quick trip was interrupted by two strange people standing between them. They were in the middle of the forest in front of them.

Strange pink electric beams appeared and disappeared around their bodies. One wore a fox mask while the other had a hood emulating the head of a white fox with pink to purple accents.

"Anomalies, anomalies and more anomalies. Fuck, Drift has a lot of time on his hands, why don't we tell him to help us?" The girl in the mask, Catalyst, looked at her teammate, obviously complaining about the lousy job they've been getting in the clan.

"Quit your whining. Now, you two little girls" The girl in the fox hood, Vi, raised her scythe-style Khopesh and narrowed her eyes as she looked at them. "Multiversal time travel within single timeline worlds is strictly forbidden according to Fox Clan rules. What do you two have to say for yourselves?"

'I knew this was going to happen...' Eleanor shook her head, for now if they were in serious trouble.

"Fox Clan. You guys are everywhere, huh..." Koyomi smiled and shook her head, as if mocking the two women in front of her.

"Time travel is not a game, girl," Catalyst appeared in front of Koyomi, leaving a pink electric trail. "You can screw us all if you do it wrong. Didn't your parents teach you to use your powers when it's really necessary?"

"If you behave, we'll send you back to the future, but your parents will have to talk to me personally."

"Talk to my parents? If my mom finds out..."

"Relax, Eleanor-chan. I've got this under control."

"Looks like they won't listen..." Vi began swinging the scythe. "Sixteen years ago we discovered an anomaly in this world. We have been coming to this world constantly to find out what that anomaly is. We thought it would be the Overlord who reincarnated on this world, but that was not the case. The anomaly has been around for a long time. We can no longer control it and now you come to this world, to this time, just to give me more work" She sighed tiredly and shook her head. "Looks like we're going to have to discipline a couple of spoiled little girls."

The two women launched into the attack, appearing surrounded by flashing flashes of lightning, which momentarily illuminated the night.

Koyomi and Eleanor dodged the attack of those two with ease. In fact, it was easier than they expected.

"Well, we have no choice left. Eleanor-chan."

"Yes, I heard you." Eleanor raised her arms high, as if she was holding something in her hands. A golden light appeared, forming the flash of a sword. Her clothing was replaced by medieval armor that covered much of her body. At the same time, her eyes lit up with the light of death, which showed him all the weaknesses of her enemies. Then she frowned and... "Ca-Ii-burn!"

She lunged at the two women who, for a moment, didn't know what to do when they saw the level of threat that attack implied.

On the other hand, Koyomi smiled proudly. That sword greatly increased Eleanor's power, for it was a gift from her mother. She didn't have to do anything to defeat them, for the time being Koyomi would let her little sister have some fun.

Boom!

"Fucking hell, I'm dead! I'm dead already, it hurts so much! We're dead! Drift, help me!!!" Covering her face with her hands, Catalyst felt terrified by that girl's power. But even though the explosion was heard, she didn't feel any pain, she was just exaggerating.

So she opened her eyes. It was there when Vi and Catalyst saw a blonde boy who had stopped the attack with a strange shield that seemed to be confirmed by dark blue mist.

"How are you ladies? It is a pleasure to meet you. I'll take care of my sisters. In the meantime, shall we make plans for a date you two with me?" The boy smiled. Though it seemed Caliburn's power was too much. Still that gallant smile was not wiped from his mouth.

"Haru, what the hell are you doing here!" Obviously, as she struggled against the shield, Eleanor could see her little brother there.

"The question is, what are you doing here? You and Koyomi can shut up as much as you want, but my silence comes with a price. A very high one, in case you ask. What would happen if we went home and I told everything I saw? Hm? What do you think will happen to all of us? Now, Nee-san. Shut your mouth and let's go home."

Eleanor couldn't say anything against her little brother. She knew the kind of child he is, for he always takes advantage of everyone.

"It's okay..."

The golden light disappeared and Eleanor was back to her usual clothes. Even the glowing sword she had was gone. At that very moment, Koyomi realized that Haru was there and felt a bead of sweat drop down her forehead. If he was here, then it means that today she will lose the last pay she received for the mission she completed together with her team a short while ago.

"Well, girls. I'll be on my way. And you know, don't piss off my sisters. For they almost ended up as mincemeat. Still, for saving your lives. Someday I'll come back and we'll go out for a delicious dinner. See ya."

Vi and Catalyst were in shock, so much so that they fell to their knees and fainted on the spot.

"Disaster level... 5-B... that girl..."

-Konohagakure, minutes later-

"And you know it. It will be 400 for me. No more, no less. In fact, I'm being quite considerate, Koyomi-onee-sama" Taking advantage of the situation to pull out a few coins, Haru snapped his fingers.

"Considerate? Just wait until I know something embarrassing about you and you'll suffer."

"That's the way to talk, Onee-sama. Still, it's a win-win for everyone. Hehehehe." Haru laughed proudly at this.

At the same time, Eleanor sat on Koyomi's bed and touched her head in pain. It was too much trouble in a few hours. Now they both lose money and leave the Shinobi World's past with a bad taste in their mouths.

Still, they were able to find out many things about their father. So it wasn't a complete loss either, just like Haru said. It's a win-win situation.

'Ha~ so... What was it that Koyomi saw before we met those Fox Clan women? Maybe she's not going to tell me' She got up from the bed and approached her sister, ready to leave this place.

After all this, it was time to go home.

-Technological research lab, the future-.

The tall, black-haired man held the piece in the palm of his hand, analyzed it and found a small flaw. His eyes, silver and crimson, looked carefully at all the details and quickly came to a conclusion.

"Orochimaru, I'm entrusting you with the reactor. Mitsuki go prepare the test room. Also tell Karin to take notes on the status of the research on the Hashirama cells and deliver them to me later tonight."

Mitsuki nodded his head and left the room. However, Orochimaru smiled as he watched Toru give them orders to everything with great speed.

"You're always so sure of your actions, huh..."

"I am a scientist, and as such, I have experienced failures time and time again. Being sure of something doesn't assure me that everything will go the way I want it to."

"Excellent observation" Orochimaru left the place, but not before looking at Toru and saying goodbye saying something strange. "Looks like there's someone outside waiting for you. what do I do?"

"I know who it is. Let him pass" Without looking away from his work, he continued as Orochimaru left the place.

A few seconds later, a girl entered the room.

"What's the matter, Koyomi? I'm busy now, but you can ask one of the angels to-" He stopped dead in his tracks as he felt two small arms wrap around his waist.

"Otou-chan..."

Toru remembered what happened this morning and closed his eyes with a sigh. He didn't understand what was wrong with his daughter, but it seemed to be something important.

"Forgive me, I-"

"There's no need to apologize. I'm not angry or feel bad about it. We all have bad days."

Koyomi hugged Toru tightly and remembered the Toru of the past and what she saw in Toru's memories.

'You are very strong, Otou-chan...'

At the same time, Toru put his work aside and his eyes showed a strange crimson pigmentation. At once, a silver-haired person with a black line-shaped mark on his face and elegant clothing appeared.

"Loki, take care of this for today. I'm taking the day off."

"As you command, my Lord."

Koyomi was confused by this, but suddenly, she felt her father's hand touch hers.

"Where do you want to go today? Eleanor is outside too, isn't she? Let's take her too."

"Hehe..." Koyomi smiled happily. "I'll leave that up to you. We are the children of Chaos, who will put an end to the light of Order."

"Then we'll go get ice cream."

"Yes!"

Inheritance of the Future - The End

I wrote these chapters at the request of a friend who was already desperate to see a bit of the multiverse and this is what I came up with. Oh, I almost forgot, volume 3 is almost over in P atreon, so, to my patrons, get ready because the big finale is coming.
