Sunlight Town

9:35 PM

Location: Sunlight Town City Mall

June, 29th, 2025

I arrive in front of our city mall, with my lab coat on, and the strange man's diary in the back pocket of my pants. I ran up to the front of a broken car that was out of gas and covered in the footsteps of different types of zombies. "Hm, must've gotten thrashed over while the avalanche of zombies followed me and Audrey." I say. I shrug and pull the car's door open, and climb inside, shutting the door and pulling the diary out. I open the diary and begin to read. "Page 87: labeled; Mankind's Rupture." The page read. Anthony looks at the label. "Mankind's rupture- what does he mean by that anyway?" Anthony says. Anthony sets his hands on the paper and flips the page, then unrevealing something unexpected. Drawing of Me, Trevor, Audrey, Rose, and three faces I haven't seen before were on the page inside of a red circle, and all of us had red x's on our eyes. Anthony's eyes widened. "Oh no," He says. Anthony turns to the side and pushes the door open, stepping out of the car. "I need to warn the others about this. ASAP" Anthony says, beginning to run back to the base. But suddenly, my body fully freezes. I look at the ground, in surprise. "What the hell-" My voice is cut off by someone else's. "You're not going anywhere. You're coming with me." The guy says.

The slim man walks towards me, brushing his shoulder off and shoving me onto the floor, sending me smashing face first into the ground, as the diary rolls down to the guys feet. I struggle to move as blood drips from my bruised face. "My evidence!" I yell through closed teeth. The figure laughs and kneels down, looking me in the eyes. "Tell me, kid. What's your name anyway?" he says. I turn my head to the side, refusing to talk for two reasons. One, my mouth was bleeding. And two, I wasn't going to give my name to some random stranger!? "You, a stupid kid refusing me?" He scoffed, "You're in for a treat when I take you to the boss." He says. The man rips a rope off of his back and rolls me over, tying the rope around me. "Done and done." he says, rubbing his hands. "Oh, and by the way, if you need it, my name is Charles Bucklewood" He says. Charles bends down and reaches for my leg, pulling a small pin off, unfreezing my body. I calm and stretch around. "Pretty neat." I say. Charles stands up and pulls me by the rope. "Thanks. Made it myself, chum!" Charles replied to me with a wink. I roll my eyes and quietly reach for the radio scanner, and turn it on, as the volume blasts out.

The sound of static suddenly overruns the town, as Trevor suddenly appears on the other side of the Radio. "Hey, Anthony? Why do we need wood exactly?" He says a little too loudly. "I snatch the radio and hold it up to my face. "Trevor, not the time, man! I'm being kidnapped and this moron is giving me everything-" I whisper. I'm then slowed to a stop. Charles turns around. "I'm not giving you everything-" He says as I cut him off. I burst out of the ropes, then diving onto Charles. Charles whimpers and reaches into his pocket, pulling out the chip that froze me earlier. "This outta stop ya!" He yells, trying to stick it to my body. I quickly turn to the side, sending the chip into the air. The chip falls onto the concrete next to us. I yell and elbow Charles in the face. Charles falls back, hitting his head on the floor. I jump off of Charles and crawl over to the chip, but Charles grabs me on the leg and pulls me back. I reach my hand out, as my fingers just skim the edge of the chip. Charles pulls harder. I push harder. SLIP! I slide out of Charles' grip and roll across the floor like a slip-n-slide, but I still manage to grab the chip. I stand up and throw the chip at Charles, as the chip sticks to Charles' arm, freezing him completely. I shake my head and stand up. "Hippity Hoppity, This man's diary is now my property" I hum, grabbing the diary from Charles' pocket. I brush my lab coat off with my hands, then shoving my hands into my pant pockets. "Time to go back home, have some fun, and live another daaaaaay…." I say, as a beep comes from my shoulder. I stare up into the sky as a monster as big as the mall appears. I suddenly remember as a flashback of the mall being destroyed came. It was the monster from before, and he had brought friends. Dozens of zombies were at the monster's feet, shambling toward the beeping, that just HAD to be coming from my shoulder. "Aw come on!" I say, reaching for my shoulder. I rip the beeping object off of my body. CHU-CHUNK! Air then exhausts from the object, as a voice suddenly activated. "Tracker Device, disabled." The robot voice says. I then look back at the zombies. So that's what attracted these things. I had a tracker ever since Charles had caught me. Suddenly, I'm brought back to reality as a zombie grabs onto my arm. I scream and pull my arm away, as the zombie loses grip and falls to the ground, face planting. The monster then exchanges me a "Not-so-happy-to-see-you-so-i'm-going-to-kill-you" face. I nervously smile and start walking backwards. "Nice to see you again, but I gotta go so...BYE!" I yell, running for my freaking life. The monster then starts running towards me, trying to catch up. I then reach for my cheeto launcher and pull the barrel back, turning around and firing my gun quickly, then turning back around. I continue to run, reaching the comic book store. The ground shakes every time the monster takes a step.

And big puddles of mud and water were starting to appear. I held my head. "I can't take this battle to the comic book store, or else it would get our base destroyed and probably kill us. So I'll have to take this to the school." I say. I turn left, taking a detour off the main road, running past trees and houses. The monster wastes no time, barreling through the houses and knocking trees over, weakening the ground even more. I ran back to the road, then finally saw the school again. "Yes!" I say, running faster. I make it to the front of the school, then grabbing the door handle and pulling on it, SUPER hard. Then I realized. The door was locked. I turn around, shaking. "Oh no" I say. The monster steps onto the floor, as water rushes around the floor under me. "Uh, yeah, I know we got off on the wrong foot, but can you just let me live? Y'know, that sort of thing-" My voice is cut off and the floor under me breaks, sending me falling down and smashing into debris. I try to stand, but a pain in my back stops me. "Ow!" I yell. I push the pieces of road away, then allow me to stand up. I look down and see that my leg was broken, but I shrug and stand up. The monster then peeks over the hole in the street, seeing me. I then limped deeper down the street, to see that I had ended up in the sewers. "Ah crud." I say. Mouses and green water reeked around, and now, the sewer had filled up with a bunch of brick parts from the street. I itched my body, then finding out that I was bleeding all over. I raised an eyebrow. "How did I even survive that fall anyway?" I say. I suddenly hear sounds of stomping, signaling that the monster had just left. I sigh in relief and flop onto the ground, deserted. If I tried to climb out, I would most likely break my already broken leg even more, and moving would just give my leg more pain. So I sat, waiting for something or someone to help me.

2 Hours and 34 Minutes later...

It had been a frick ton of time at this point, and I was still laying in the same spot as before, and by now it was the tick of night, and I was close to falling asleep in the sewers. I know, gross right? But the real questions are...did I sleep in the sewers? Did zombies come to kill me? Would anyone come to rescue my helpless soul? Well, the answers to those questions are nope, even more nope, and nope with some extra salt. Water splashed into the stream of green water that led to who knows where, and dirt and mud was everywhere. I rose my worn out hands up to my face. "Hello!" I yelled. Still, no answer yet to come back to me. I sigh. "Looks I'll die here, in rots." I say. Suddenly, a rat scurries over to me. The rat holds up a piece of rotted cheese that smelled like something out of a dump. I shooed the thing away, holding my hand over my nose. The rat then crawls away. I look back up at the hole in the ceiling of the street. I then shake my head. "I can't just stay down here. It's not like I got here for the lack of trying anyway" I say, slowly standing up. I limp over to the stream of water. I then crouch. "Please don't hurt!" I say, jumping over the stream. I land on my back, pulling a muscle in my arm. "Ah, I guess it was sorta worth it." I say. I then stand up, Trying to climb up on some of the concrete rocks. I looked up, as the moonlight loomed through the manhole cover, then it slightly opened. What looked like a centimeter at a time, "Hello?" I said, "Is anyone there?" Then, The manhole cover slides off and falls into the sewer, barely skimming the side of my head, leaving a burn mark on my left cheek. The manhole cover slides down the concrete rocks and splashes into the sewer water. Then I see her face, the face of Rose, with a hood on. "Anthony?" Rose said into the hole. "I'm down here! You almost killed me!" I yelled. "Sorry, now climb up, we gotta get back." Said Rose. "Uhh, about that.. My leg is completely broken." I replied. Rose's jaw dropped. "How are you going to get up?" She said. "I have no clue, it will hurt to move but, maybe a pulley would work? With soft rope?" I asked. "How do we make a pulley." Rose says. "Here, I have a guide of how to make things, turn to page 55, it will show you." I said, then throwing the guide up out of the hole. Rose catches it and opens the book, flipping through the pages. "There, I think we have leftover materials from our last run." Rose would say. "Okay, hurry!" I say. Rose took off from the sewer entrance. Now feeling like she abandoned me, I sit down, and wait. Hopefully, Rose would come back sooner or later.
