Chapter 2: "The note"
She peek to his side and still can feel the scent of the rose. Last 12 years,
"Saena!" a boy waving to her from the tree, running.
She turned around and looked at him. Recognising his face, she quickly smiled and wait for him to arrive. When he's right in front of her, he hugged her tight. She was confused
"Eh? Why are you suddenly hugging me? let me go" as she try to push him but he still resist to let her go from his embrace
"My family is moving out to Seoul" he confessed
Her eyes is blank and slightly widened but she try to hold back any tears
"...Oh? congratulations ... you got yourself a ticket to Seoul... You really want to go to that famous school there right?" she tried to expressed her fake-happiness
He let her go, 'This is not her...
If its the usual Saena, she will scold me for leaving her behind when she actually really want to go to that school together' since they were younger
"Saena? Where is the usual Saena? She should be mad at me for leaving her behind" he tried to joke around.
Meanwhile, her heart is beating a thousand times faster 'How can i'm mad at you when my feeling is actually slowly growing for you so its normal that i can feel happy for you although i know that this will hurt me so much' she said to her heart
She smiled, trying to digest his lame joke
"I'm right here, Go Saena" as she raised her arm
He smiled but still can feel the sadness lingering in his heart. He have been in love with her since their first meeting in the mountain village. Actually he's the one who helped her to bring her mom to the other villager.
"So when are you going?" she tried to ask with a happier vibe
"Next two hours" he answered and that actually tear her heart more. He didn't tell her earlier about this
"N-next t-two h-hours?" she stuttered
'I have only two hours of my life to be with him right now?'
he slowly nodded his head. He feels guilty to only inform her about this now. He just don't want to lose her earlier than expected.
"Ohh... " she exclaimed, feeling a little dizzy. Its hard to digest this things quickly
He saw her pale face so he pulled her to sit down below the big cherry blossom tree and infront of the roses bushes.
her head is on his chest, its actually a normal thing that they used to do when they were younger but now they feels different feeling from before. Not hate, but its the feel of love...
As the wind passed by, they continued on sitting with each other. He pointed at the roses while saying
"Hey, look at that rose. They are very red and the smell is very very nice. As i realised, they smell just the same like you, maybe because you like to play with them a little... too much? " he smiled. He's actually complimenting her, giving her hints
"Yeah... maybe i'm playing with it a little too much but thanks for the compliment" she said expressionlessly.
"Compliment?" try not to understand. Hoping that she have same feeling with his
"Yes, you just compliment me right? i smell like rose" she replied expressionlessly.
He can only laughed fakely, he can feel that she don't really care about it. In fact, she is fluttered but she's just drown in the feel of sadness about his leaving.
"Jiyong! its time to go!" his brother yelled from their house. He get up, slowly lifting her head off his chest
"What? You're leaving now?" she asked hurriedly, panic that he's leaving her earlier than expected.
"Its look like it" he answered.
"Wait! " she screamed to stop him
"Here, take this" she gave him a small weird looking glass of red pinkish liquid that she pulled out from her pocket.
"What is this?"
"Its a rose perfume that i make it myself" she explained as she put it on his hand.
"Well... thank you... " he expressed
"Then i'll get going... "
As he was about to walk away, she hugged him from behind. She put her chin on his shoulder, tighten the hug and whispered
"the note... "
Unfortunately, Jiyong didn't hear any of it so he asked but she just shook it away and smiled.
After that, it was the last time they see and feel each other presence
