1 Prologue

The basic idea for this novel arose on August 7, the year 17 of the seventh age of the Sun. I had wanted to write something about Arda for a long time, and the history after the Third Age and the fall of the last Dark Lord. I will try throughout this narrative to stick to the official canon of the Legendarium, without missing anything that goes against the principles and laws that Eru and the Valar put long ago in the kingdom of Arda, and that was preserved in publications such as The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion.
