155 Incident at the Restaurant

Yunyang then dropped a bomb "I came to give you your Teacher plates. Since one of the teachers has met with a... terrible fate. We have a new teaching position open!" Cross chuckled and the Examiner that he beat up groaned behind him. Yunyang handed them their name plates and said "Your appointment ceremonies will be in 3 days."

He looked at Cross and pursed his lips into a smile "This.. You must attend." Cross grinned and took the name plate saying cheekily "If you have wine to celebrate I'll be the first one there, old man." Yunyang laughed and replied "Not a problem! Haahaha" Cross smiled and took out a small gourd before giving it to Yunyang saying "Try this, old man. This is my best wine, I got it from my uncle. In my world there is no Wine God's palace. This is considered to be the best Wine in the entire world, I gathered all the ingredients myself."

Cross scratched his neck and chuckled as he added "A single ingredient alone would cause a massive war." Yunyang and Long Chen were surprised, Long Chen said "You didn't tell me this." Cross smirked and said "You wouldn't have given me a true assessment if I did. I want the truth, not some flattery. I hate flattery the most."

Yuanyuan added "It's true! This one uncle got beat up by daddy and then a while later he came back saying that daddy was the best but he was lying and then Daddy turned him into bubbles! I wonder where that uncle went.." then she got lost in her own thoughts.

Long Chen and Yunyang chuckled knowing exactly where that uncle went. Yunyang wasn't polite and drank from the small gourd, he smacked his lips and said "Tasty!" then he sighed and said "I can imagine, little friend Long has told you the Wine God Palace has the best Wine already."

Cross nodded and sighed as he said "I would love to go see it someday. Regardless, old man, you should keep that. It has no effect on you but perhaps your children or grandchildren can benefit. The ingredients make your soul thicker and your body stronger. Where I'm from even a single drop of the water it was made with can turn a beggar into a genius!"

Yunyang smiled and kept the gourd saying "Thank you, little friend Cross." Cross smiled and said "Why you being so formal? We're buddies... Speaking of which.." Cross got a little shameless as he said "Do you know how to get to this Divine Flame Realm, old man? From where I'm from the entire 'Mortal Shedding Realm' is True God, Creation God, and Ancestral God. I've been stuck at Ancestral God Peak for a few years now, I simply don't know what to do to advance."

Long Chen looked at Yunyang as well. He was a bit curious as to what it too to light a Divine Flame for normal people. He didn't need guidance but his friend was lost so if he could help, he will. Cross said in confusion "Where are you supposed to condense it?" Yunyang said "Your Star space." Cross was still confused and asked "Star space?" Yunyang said patiently "Normally when a cultivator reached the Life Star realm they will create a space in their Dantian for storage."

Cross frowned and closed his eyes, looking inside his body. He was severely shocked, every acupoint in his body had a pitch black endless space inside it. Yunyang and Long Chen looked at Cross' ugly face and Yunyang said "Little friend, I'm sure we can find a way for you."

Cross said "Actually... That's not the problem." he looked at the other two and said "I have 108,000 endless spaces..." Long Chen's pupils shrank and Yunyang was stunned as he said "That's Impossible!" Cross checked again and said "Maybe it's just a single one..."

Yunyang let out a breath and said "This is most likely the case. Your star space can also be spread out in your body, not just staying at the Dantian area, though this is very rare. I've only seen a case like this once in my life and the solution was to gather the spaces back to the Dantian before lighting your flame."

Cross smiled and said "Thanks, old man!" Yuanyuan pouted and whispered "Daddy, I'm hungry..." Yunyang laughed and said "Little friend, I'll bother you some other time. You have more important things to do than talk to an old man like me! Haha!" Cross chuckled and said "Come anytime, old man!" Yunyang chuckled and said his goodbyes before leaving.

Cross watched him go, he knew that he probably shouldn't have said that but he had no other choice. His body was special, he looked at Long Chen, who had a serious look on his face. Long Chen was definitely shaken by the reveal, perhaps he had some experience in this. Let's ask him later.

Zhong Ling and Zhong Xiu cheered saying "Let's go eat!" Mu Qingyun was helpless and offered to bring them to eat which Long Chen and Cross agreed to. They boarded flying beasts and flew away.

Cross was sitting on an immortal beast, talking with Yuanyuan, who was in awe from all the scenery. Yuanyuan pointed "Daddy look! It's a tree!" Cross looked in the opposite direction saying "Where?!" Yuanyuan giggled saying "Silly daddy, that's the wrong way!" Cross looked again, still in the wrong direction and Yuanyuan sighed saying "Good thing Mommy is smart..."

Cross almost coughed up blood and pinched Yuanyuan's cheeks saying "Oi! Daddy is the smartest, you know?!" Yuanyuan spat out her pink tongue and said "Daddy's a big dummy!" Cross laughed and squished her face together in all directions, getting giggles from the little girl.

Suddenly a flying ship came out of nowhere.

Long Chen grabbed Mu Qingyun and jumped off the immortal beast. Good thing too because they would've been hit. Cross looked over and pulled the bird's head back, the bird spread out it's wings and stopped. Cross frowned and looked at the boat that passed by with a cold gaze.

Long Chen was caught by Zhong Ling and Zhong Xiu's bird and he came over to Cross saying "Chase?" Cross said "If they don't die today, I'll write my name backwards." Long Chen chuckled and grabbed a stick from Mu Qingyun, jumping on Cross' bird.

Cross didn't say a word and tapped the bird, it sped off towards the boat with the 3 girls' bird following them. Cross stretched out his right arm and Long Chen jumped on it, Cross pulled back and Long Chen crouched.

The girls felt their hearts tremble. Both of their faces were cold and indifferent.

Cross swung his arm forward and Long Chen sprang off, shooting towards the Boat like a bullet. Cross chased after him, diving under the boat. Long Chen smashed the power center and Cross caught him before circling around the boat in one motion.

The girls were stunned this time, this teamwork! It was like they had been fighting together for years! There was no hesitation whatsoever! Cross chased after the crashing boat and whistled, the world suddenly started singing a sad tune.

Long Chen looked at Cross, while the girls suddenly started crying. Cross lifted his hand as a pitch black lotus appeared, slowly rotating. Cross hummed the last bit of the song and the lotus floated towards the destruction like a little fairy. Cross turned around and flew back to the girls, Long Chen looked behind at the lotus that landed in the middle of the debris before exploding into a pitch black whirlpool, sucking everything inside.

In a matter of seconds the entire mountain was gone, leaving a perfect bowl shaped hole in the ground. Long Chen clapped saying "Wow, beautiful!" Cross smiled and flew away with Mu Qingyun and the other two.

They landed and docked their birds before walking away towards a high rise restaurant. Yuanyuan chirped "Yaya! Food! Food!" Cross smiled and stroked her soft hair. They entered the second floor, only to heard an annoying whine "So disappointing, anybody can enter this restaurant?"

They looked over, surprisingly this guy wasn't talking about them! What a joyous day! Cross looked over and saw the guy he slapped, berating a woman. Cross looked at the woman and saw that she was pregnant! The man, who's name was Pan Mingxiong, sneered at the woman "If you don't have the qualifications, just leave the academy! You expect your children to be great? Have you ever heard of Dragon births Dragons, Phoenix births Phoenixes? Look at your food, it's disgusting to even be near you!"

Cross trembled in rage, the woman was pregnant and obviously in dire straights. What kind of terrible person would say something like that!? An intense killing intent flooded the restaurant and Cross walked over to Pan Mingxiong with light steps.

He towered over Pan Mingxiong and Yuanyuan was on his shoulders, he said "You.. You really want to die, insulting a pregnant women, eh? No problem. I want to see how fast your brother can get here to save your life." as he shot his hand out and squeezed Pan Mingxiong's neck from behind.

Cross was really angry, he had a soft spot for pregnant women, it couldn't be helped he had a family and 7 kids. He watched each of his wives give birth. This was even worse than slapping his face!

Pan Mingxiong lost all the color from his face as his neck slowly started cracking. Everyone couldn't breathe let alone help. Cross' voice was colder than the bottom of hell as he said "When you arrive in hell, tell Lucifer I sent you."

Pan Mingxiong said quickly "My broth-" unfortunately, Cross was a person who went against cultivator common sense. Cross snapped his neck and a black flame erupted over Pan Mingxiong, turning him to ashes instantly.

Everybody felt a chill, not even a corpse was left!

Cross dusted his hands and tilted his head backwards, glancing at Pan Mingxiong's group indifferently. They all scrambled and ran away in terror, this guy dared to kill! The killing intent disappeared and Yuanyuan patted the woman saying "Aunty, don't worry the bad guys are gone!"

The pregnant woman who was terrified, calmed down at Yuanyuan's words before smiling and saying quickly "Thank you." Cross looked at the woman, who was still scared and sighed before walking away saying "What a disappointment."

Long Chen said "Well, you were very brutal. If she wasn't scared I would be surprised." Cross waved and said "What's the use in getting scared? I only helped her because she was pregnant. If she continues like this, even the kid will amount to nothing."

Mu Qingyun frowned and said "That's not very nice." Cross looked at her and pointed at the woman saying "All you cultivators bend at the knee to someone stronger than you! Do you want to know why you're not strong?"

His voice was loud and clear as he continued "It's because you bend and bend and bend! Once you bend and submit, your path to the top is finished! Wash your hands and go home! I'm arrogant and unyielding to everyone! This is the confidence in myself! So what if its a God!? So what if it's Heaven!? If you bend, even slightly, you're weak!"

He looked at Zhong Ling and Zhong Xiu saying "Do you want to be strong?" the duo nodded and Cross sneered as he said "You're not suited for it, give up and go home." he pointed at Long Chen saying "Me and Long Chen... We've both crawled out of rivers of blood and mountains of corpses! Even the slightest transgression was paid back 1000 times! You all get slapped in the face and thank the person who slapped you!"

Cross shook his head and said "Worthless. Everyone can be great, no matter the talent. I can pick up a beggar off the street and make him an expert 100 times stronger than you! Shinto list... It's all bullshit. Your mental state determines your path, not talent!" He turned around and looked at the woman as he said "You. If you don't change, then you'll just end up ruining your own child. I saved you once, will I be there to save you again? If I am, what about the time after?"

Cross slammed the table and said "Even if you die, don't bend!" he pointed up to the air and said "Even if your enemy is the world, you should fight! Killing with every step! Butchering whoever comes in your path! Without enemies, you will stagnate! Without a firm will, you will crumble!"

Everybody was in awe, Long Chen grinned as he remembered, slaughtering people left and right when the world came after him. Mu Qingyun grasped her sword tightly and the pregnant woman was in a daze.

Cross calmed down and looked at the woman, saying gently "Do you understand?" the woman nodded before saying "Thank you." as she straightened her back and looked more confident. Suddenly there was a loud shout "Who is Long Chen and Cross?"
