Confronting the Unmovable King

"Ah! Before you leave you four have these rings it will protect you in any situation when the Apostles exploit their senses." Said Eric. "Senses?" Said Jacob. "Apostles have this special ability to completely master their senses that they can spot you at any place within their domain. These rings were made to block out those senses to prevent you from getting spotted by their senses." Said Eric.

"Any knowledge of these Apostles that we can take advantage of?" Said Alex. "Weaknesses? Most of them are hard to spot but since you'll be talking to Castle first. He's an easy one he can't move and he can't hurt you he's gonna be an easy target for you but here's the problem he can't die, or that is he just absorbs it. You can make him talk about the truth providing he cooperate with you four." Said Eric. "We'll find a way to make him talk." Said Jacob.

As the four prepares to leave Eric leaves gave them a piece of advice. "You four better not die in this treacherous journey." Said Eric as he heads back to his room underground. After a few minutes, they left the house where they came in and began their walk to meet the 'Unmovable King' known as Castle.

Alex's voices in his head went quiet after what they went through inside worried with the fact that the three had always given him advice for these kinds of situations but he knows they'll be back at times of need. The four began to feel weird after wearing the rings since they felt more a bit subdued they feel like hidden from the eyes of the public.

They entered town feeling like the people there don't know they're there so they took this to their advantage and rush towards the domain of Castle the guards seem to ignore them, they reached the quarters of Castle and saw him just sitting there... Waiting patiently... "He told you everything have you?" Said Castle as he was expecting them.

"How could you tell?" Said Jacob. "From the rings, you have in your hand. Eric must have told you about the truth of this mass murder of title candidates and holders to prevent a difference in numbers and possibly another war." Said Castle. "You seem relieved." Said Elise. "Eric and I used to be friends well he decided to left being an Apostle despite being compatible of becoming one.

But I guess the truth can never be hidden forever, I am truly against the idea of another war but killing the innocent to prevent a war? That just made me sick from their decision to go forward with this mindless killing for a reward that will never be achieved." Said Castle as he shakes his head from the idea of this prevention.

"Then why continue with that plan?" Said Night. "It was the only way during that time when this rumor was forged from our lies... It was during the War that resets humanity back to square one and we made this to prevent another wave of wars that we can't wager anymore after all we've been fighting as Apostles for more than eons now.

And until two centuries ago that these rumors started to appear in the surface it has been a secret for more than that." Said Castle. "Then why did Eric sent us here to talk to you then?" Said Alex. "Well, I guess its part of his plan anyways I want you to kill an Apostle for us. But since you four are just inexperienced on fighting an Apostle I'll let you four fight me. Don't worry it won't hurt..." Said Castle as he desperately tries to stand up.

"Okay old man but why are we doing this?" Said Jacob. "Well you need to learn how Apostles fight because the one you need to kill is a Monster literally. His title is Heretic and his domain is filled with pain and suffering so you need to be tested." Said Castle. "But Eric said you can't stand?" Said Elise. "Oh he told you that? He's such a bad liar anyways I can barely walk or attack but that doesn't mean I can't fight. Anyways heads up!" Said Castle as he disappears in front of them.

Castle drops an Axe kick towards Night she was caught off guard but quickly dodges the attack. "I am getting too old for this." Said Castle as he misses Night from a smidge from death. "Getting too OLD?!" Said Elise. "I mean I haven't fought like eons now. I barely fight since I can't die they just acknowledge me as powerful Apostle just because I can't die." Said Castle. "Who is the target anyways? And how does he fight?" Said Alex.

"He fights in ways you wouldn't say usual or cleanly, or nicely. He's one of the more powerful Apostles around he fights in brutal ways and he kind of has a God Complex believing he is a step near Godhood which is impossible." Said Castle. "So why are you making us face that guy then?" Said Alex as he tries to send blows to Castle's unmoving body. "That's because of you Alex." Said Castle as he returns a punch to knockback Alex but he didn't falter from that. "Me? How would I be the relevant in that fight?" Said Alex as he reluctantly gets knocked back as a taunt by Castle.

"I can't explain it to you right now you'll learn that yourself later, let's just say you're more than what you look Alex. You were blessed by a very gifted title, this battle of ours will show you how we all fight in the field. Trust me, I've learned all of their fighting styles from the eons of war I faced against them. I'm the last Apostle that will play nicely with you four after this it's all can of worms for you to find out, and Heretic likes anyone who will fight with him." Said Castle as he stands down and stays in one place as they attack from all directions.

Castle isn't moving from those attacks but knows that Alex can do more damage than what he is right now. "Come on Alex hit harder. Your attacks only makes me stronger my body absorbs trauma into power. Tell me Alex why did your foster parents die?" Shouted Castle trying to snap him out. "What? How did you know about that?" Said Alex.

"I run this country Alex. I know everyone that lives and dies here. Now tell me you killed that man who killed your parents right in front of you what was that feeling knowing that you've killed someone ABOVE you?" Said Castle as he continues to provoke Alex. "Wh-what?" Said Alex in confusion.

"You don't know Alex you were born to be a killer. It was all in plan to awaken you from that false dream of you being a lumberjack. Yes, Alex I was the one who sent that man to wake you up from that dream." Said Castle as he finally snaps Alex. Smugly looking at the angered bloodshot Alex.

"You've been awakened Alex you're gonna change the world!" Said Castle to his arms wide open anticipating an attack from the enraged Alex rushing to him with his axe forwarded glowing even more red than before. As Alex slashes Castle's unbreakable defense... To their surprise Castle finally got a scratch from Alex. Castle finally gets worried and fought back.

"Why? WHY DID I HAVE TO LIVE IN SUCH A LIE?" Said Alex as his voice is distorted from the rage accumulated from his new form. "If you wanna learn the truth you must snap out of it first. I won't tell you what really happened." As Castle finally starts to attack Alex to calm him down but as Alex grabs the upper hand Castle surprises him with. "You're still mentally weak Alex. You're not yet ready." As Castle forces Alex to fall a sleep.

"Don't I just provoked him I didn't do that to his parents. This just shows how he's still weak, I guess I'll help you in the end." Said Castle as he brings down Alex to the floor to rest. "So what's the point of all of this?" Said Jacob. "One I have to test you guys myself and second I have to test your mentality if not up to standards you may fail from just communicating against Heretic." Said Castle. "Well what do we have to do then to survive the battle?" Said Night.

"If you can't fight Heretic alone you have Alex there to successfully defeat him in fact he could probably kill him. Heretic is one of the worst ones from the 12... He punishes his people by public hanging, burning, and torture to fulfill his religious intent that this is all for his addiction to becoming a god." Said Castle.

"Well do we all have to rely on Alex then?" Said Jacob. "Not really, you all have your own sets of skills and talents. Follow me, my assistants will handle Alex he'll be fine." As Castle stands up and walks toward his archive.

"This is a place only a few know. It holds knowledge from the war. Better learn as much as you can, if you're interested in history go read this. It's about a certain man who had once conquered the entire Apostle council from what I've found only 3 men had succeeded in toppling down the council and they were separated by eons.

This crawls back to a title that hasn't been named yet but is known as the Three Messiah's. Whom they saved the entire world from the endless slaughter. From what I've noticed Alex could be a descendant but you must not tell this to Alex I fear with the amount of stress is already heavy for him." Said Castle. "We'll go over there gonna read about the other Apostles." Said Jacob as both him and Elise go check some more books.

"How about you Sister you've been observing him since his arrival in this town. What will you do?" Said Castle. "From what I've read the man who is destined to fix everything will be a powerful title holder. In the story the man stands in a field of destruction and mayhem with a glowing red cross where all of humanity stops and gazes upon the man who will end all conflict with an iron fist and a thirst for vengeance." Said Night as she removes her mask.

"I guess right now is to keep Alex intact before he battles Heretic." Said Castle... After that they continued to learn about the Apostle's and what they have done for the world and how they fought meanwhile Alex will battle his inner demons.
