9 Chapter nine- The first meeting

Looking between the both of us I noticed he's eyebrows furrowed. Realizing he might misunderstand my situation I quickly speak up. " Hello me and Quinn are new to this village we just arrived today, and well to put it bluntly I would love for you to join my family and become my second husband uh oh right you're probably confused husband is another word for mate" laughing nervously as I feel my palms become a little bit sweaty from my nerves. I come to a realization wait did I even mention my name? Damnit I don't remember should I just say oh and my is Ares? But what if I did already say my name and forgot wouldn't that just make me look like an idiot?! Before I fully become even more submerged inside my never ending scenarios a timid voice reached out towards me full of uncertainty. "You w-want me as your mate?" Eyes wide as he lifts up a pointed finger pointing in he's direction in shock. My heart swells up in sadness and madness for this cruel world for what I know it put him through. Males deem weak or too different live a lonely and very often short life. Feeling my resolve strengthen my nerves become weaker by the second standing up tall I look him in the eyes with a gentle smile. " I'm undoubtably sure Harvey I heard how you take care of the sick that's a very honorable job being a doctor you've quite literally save lives you amaze me and I would be honor if you would allow me the pleasure of calling you my mate" he's face blooms a beautiful shade of pink he stands there as if time decided to pause in that exact moment. "A-h Um I'm sorry I haven't invited you inside please come in" he seemed to have rebooted as he cutely shuffles around he's hut to sit down head downwards avoiding my eyes he's blush seems to be expanding by the second. " cute" I seem to have voice that out though I didn't realize it till I heard Quinn chuckle beside me no doubt he too finds this situation amusing. The silence fills the room feeling a little nervous from the silence as Harvey still hasn't looked my way seeming to be thinking hard which I understand he doesn't know me I quite literally just showed up announcing I want him as a husband. My hand finds Quinn right when Harvey moves he's head in my direction looking me with he's determined filled eyes mixed with hope. "I-if your have me I would be the one extremely honored my only request is your name may you grace me with your name?" Smiling bashfully he ask's me. Okay so I didn't introduce myself good to know. "Ares that is my name and of course I'll have you Harvey now that our relationship is made clear in two days I would love it if you can live with me and Quinn if you don't mind"Shaking he's head with a smile signally how he doesn't mind at all also brings a smile upon my face. We continue talking for a bit all three of us though it took awhile before Quinn decided to talk. Though the conversation was short it was also delightful acquiring new information about Harvey likes and dislikes he too enjoyed hearing mine and well Quinn doesn't have a lot of dislikes especially involving food he's not a picky eater. But seeing how Quinn and Harvey got along made my heart swell up in joy. Especially when Quinn will have a question on a certain type of herb he didn't know the name of, but remembers the color shape and details of it. Harvey didn't hold anything back eyes sparkling he informed Quinn to the very best of he's ability.

Walking out after saying our goodbyes me and Quinn make our way to our little hut. Linking my arm to Quinn as I lay my head on he's shoulder I ask him a question I'm dying to know. "So what do you think about Harvey?" He's head tilts my way I take my time waiting on him knowing he's putting he's thoughts together. "He is an excellent choice for a mate he's knowledge on herbs is a great quality and he's someone I can get along with which is also good meaning there won't be heavy tension in our family you did great picking him as the second mate" smiling to myself I laugh. " I'm glad" our walk was nice and relaxing when we reached our temporary home. Once inside I decided to sit on our makeshift bed as I munch on some delicious fruit that reminds me of a peach though the coloring is quite different it's a vibrant pink. "Tomorrow I'll head to the cave to get the rest of our stuff" Quinn promises as he lays down next to where I'm eating. Once done with my fruit I look to my left. He has beautiful long lashes I'm quite envious I wish mine were that long. He's eyes are close breathing is relaxed. He's hand is on the ground next to my hand just barely touching. Look at him already taking a nap I thought we had unfinished business? I think to myself with a small smile. Linking my fingers over he's once I had a hold of he's hand I lift it to my mouth laying a gentle kiss. I gasp softly when I feel the tip of he's tail curl around my ankle looking at him as I see him smiling mischievously. "Did you think I'll forget my love~?" Laughing now while shaking my head. "You better not have forgotten" Moving he's body in between my legs he leans down towards my neck only to stop right when he's lips almost touches me. Head tilted with a smile he whispers " Are you ready my mate? My love I won't be able to stop once I start so tell me tell me now do you want this? want me as badly as I want you?"
