Chapter 6

AZEINA'S POV :

Pumunta muna ako sa labas para magpahangin sa park. Napangiti ako ng may nakita akong dalawang bata na nag hahabulan malapit sa kalye. Asan kaya yung mga magulang nila , hinanap ng mga mata ko yung mga magulang nila pero hindi ko makita. Ibinalik ko sa mga bata yung mga paningin ko at sakto namang nasa kalye yung batang lalaki. Tumayo ako at nag lakad patungo sa kanila nung may nakita akong isang sasakyan na mabilis ang takbo , at dadaan yun sa bata. Tumakbo ako at tinulak yung bata , huli na para makaiwas pa ako kaya napapikit nalang ako at ininda yung sakit.

*SCREEEECHH*

"Iha!!"

"Tumawag kayo ng ambyulansya!"

"Kaninong bata 'to? Bakit pinapabayaan ng mga magulang nito na mag laro sa labas ng mag isa." 

"Kawawang dalaga"

"Asan na yung ambyulansya?"

"May tumawag na"

HUVANN'S POV :

May nakita akong nagkukumpulang tao malapit sa labasan ng village na tinitirahan ni tita. Hininto ko muna yung sasakyan para tignan kung anong nangyari. 

"Excuse me , ano po yung nangyari?" tanong ko sa isang buntis na babae.

"May nasagasaang babae nung iniligtas niya yung isang bata"

"Ah salamat po" pumunta pa ako sa malapit para tignan yung naaksidente. I'm going to be a doctor so it's my duty to cure people in need..."Excuse me" nung nakalapit na ako sa babae ay sinuri ko muna kung may fractures o wala. Wala namang fractures sa kahit saang bahagi ng katawan niya kaya binuhat ko siya at sinakay sa sasakyan ko.

I drove all the way to our hospital , cheking her situation every minute. Nung nakarating na ako ay binuhat ko na siya papuntang emergency room.

"Doc , can you please check her?" tanong ko sa doktor na nahila ko.

"I'm sorry sir , may code blue po kami"

"Don't know me?" I asked her. He looked up and widened his eyes.

"S-Sir Vou're"

"Check her first or lose your job?" I don't know why I'm acting like this for such a stranger.

"S-sige po sir Vou're kukuha lang ako ng gamit" saad niya at tumakbo para kumuha ng gamit. I went to her side and looked at her face , she seems familiar to me. I don't know if we met already or we didn't.

The doctor already finished checking her and transfer her to a VIP room. The nurses found a phone from her pocket. I opened it , it has a password but I know how to open it. It took minutes to open her phone and it's done. I went to her contacts and saw her last contacted friends. I saw Ronn , Jyro , Chrys , and Hlyx's numbers. Do they know her? I pressed Ronn's number and called it.

*rings*

[Hello , Azeina. What's the matter?]

"Ronn"

[Gab? Is this you? Why aren't you here in the game? Why do you have Azeina's phone?]

"Shut up and listen to me"

[Okay , sorry]

"The one you called Azeina had an accident and it's a coincidence that you know her"

[Huh , Azeina? Is she okay? How's her situation?]

"I won't explain it to you. Just come to our hospital and accompany her here" I said and ended the call. I put her phone in the table and left.

TYRONN'S POV :

The coach from the opponents' side asked for a time out. We are leading the score. We gathered around and listened to coach.

"Someones phone is ringing" our manager said.

"Ronn it's from your bag" Xhion said. I went to my bag and got my phone. Azeina's calling me.

"Hello , Azeina. What's the matter?"

[Ronn]

"Gab? Is this you? Why aren't you here in the game? Why do you have Azeina's phone?"

[Shut up and listen to me]

"Okay , sorry"

[The one you called Azeina had an accident and it's a coincidence that you know her]

"Huh , Azeina? Is she okay? How's her situation?"

[I won't explain it to you. Just come to our hospital and accompany her here]

I looked at my temmates and to coach with a worried face. Xhion , Chrys , Hlyx , and Jyro looked at me confused. I hurriedly went to them. Xhion and Hlyx went towards me

"Guys , Azeina had an accident"

"Where is she?" Xhion asked trembling.

"At our schools' hospital"

"Coach I need to go" Xhion said and got his bag , running.

"We need to go , I'm sorry" Chrys said and came with us.Nag madali kami sa pagpunta ng ospital dahil pati kami kinakabahan sa sitwasyon ni Azeina. Hindi nagtagal ay nakrating din kami sa ospital na pinag admitan ni Azeina.

"Miss , may naka admit ba dito na dinala ni Vou're?" tanong ni Xhion sa mga nurses sa information.

"Ah , sir Xhion nasa room 218 , 5th floor VIP room po"

Di na siya pinansin ni Xhion at tumakbo na sa harap ng elevator. Wala kaming nagawa kundi ang sundan siya. Pag ka dating namin sa 5th floor ay agad kaming nag hiwalay para hanapin yung room 218.

"Guys andito!" tawag ni Jyro mula sa dulo. Nagulat kami nung pag pasok namin ay nakatayo si Azeina at nakatingin sa labas ng bintana.

"Vrix!" tawag ni Xhion kaya napa lingon si Azeina. Agad na niyakap ni Xhion si Azeina at sinuri. "Ba't ka tumayo? Dapat nag pahinga ka lang"

"Ayos lang ako. Medyo kinabahan lang para sa bata kanina"

"Bakit ba siya lang yung niligtas mo? Dapat pati sarili mo niligtas mo rin"

"Xhion wag kang oa , okay lang ako. May konting galos lang"

"Okay ka lang ba talaga?" tanong ni Hlyx.

"Oo nga. Pero teka kamusta yung game niyo?"

"Di na importante yun" sagot ni Chrys.

"Di niyo man lang muna pinatapos bago niyo ako puntahan dito?"

"Uunahin pa ba namin yung nung nabalitaan naming naaksidente ka?" tanong ko.

"Aww , ang sweet niyo. Mga ugok! Pano pag kinick out kayo nung coach niyo?" mabilis na nag bago yung ekspresyon niya.

"Uunahin pa rin kita" saad ni Xhion at ginulo yung buhok ni Azeina.

"Mabuti nalang at nag disguise ulit ako" saad ni Azeina.

"HAHAHA" tinawanan namin siya dahil yung disguise pa talaga yung inuna niyang ishare samin.

AZEINA'S POV :

Kanina pa nakaalis sina Xhion dahil kukuha daw sila ng mga gamit ko. Total , ako lang naman siguro yung pasyente na nasa 5th floor nag simula akong kumanta ng 'When I look at you' ni Miley Cyrus.

SOMEONE'S POV :

I was reading a book in my hospital bed when I heard someone from the other room singing. What an angelic voice. I am totally captivated to her voice. Why is there someone beside my hospital room? I thought the room next to mine was empty.

"Bro" I saw my bestfriend put a basket of fruits on the table.

"Is the next room occupied?" I asked him.

"Yeah , someone was admitted there just an hour ago" he said. A nurse came in to check me.

"Uhm , nurse" I called her.

"Yes sir?" she asked.

"Who's the patient in the next room?"

"Room 218 , sir?"

"Yes"

"I don't know her name but Mr. Xhion and Mr. Vou're came for her the hour she was admitted" she said.

"Okay , thank you" she just nod and smiled at me. So she's a stranger.

"I want to know her. Can you investigate her for me please?" I asked my cousin.

"Fine"

AZEINA'S POV :

I was scrolling to my instag when someone knocked at the door.

"Come in"

"Bessy!" Apro greeted me.

"Why didn't you let me know you're going here?" I asked her.

"That doesn't matter. Oh my gosh! Look at these scars on your face! Ba't kasi di ka nag iingat!" Yzay said.

"I have ways to make this fade away , don't be so overacting"

"Haysst , alagaan mo kasi yang mukha mo. Madaming nag aalala" saad ni Hera at tumawa ng mahina.

"Nga pala dapat pumasok ka na agad ha? Baka hanap hanapin ka ni Gaevon" nag aasar na tono ni Apro.

"Wait , pano niyo nakilala si Gaevon?" takang tanong ko.

"Eh kasi kanina nung nasa school kami at dapat pauwi na ay nabalitaan namin kay Xhion , tapos ayun narinig niya" paliwanag ni Apro.

"Bakit naman kayo ginabi sa school?" tanong ko ulit.

"Sumali kasi kami sa ASA ng school. Si Hera nag apply as photographer , si Apro naman ay news writter , at ako naman as cartoonist" pag explain ni Yzay.

"Ahh okay. So kamusta? Member naba kayo?" tanong ko.

"Yep , we'll get out membership i.d soon" Apro excitedly said.

"That's nice" I said.

"What about you? Anong club yung sasalihan mo?" tanong ni Hera sakin.

"Sports club" I answered.

"What sport?" she asked again.

"Fencing"

"Wow , that's cool" Hera said.

"Pinayagan ka ba?" she means , pinayagan ba ako ng mga kapatid ko.

"Yep"

"Hindi pa ba kayo hinahanap sa inyo?" tanong ko sa kanila. It's already 10 p.m at nandito pa din sila.

"Alam na ni dad na nandito ako" Yzay said.

"Ipapasundo nalang daw ako ni kuya maya-maya" Hera said.

"Dederetso ako sa family resto namin , may family dinner kasi kami ngayong 11 p.m with my lolo and lola" saad naman ni Apro. Di nag tagal nag paalam din sila sakin na uuwi na daw sila , kaya naiwan nanaman akong mag isa.

--After 2 days--

The doctor said I will be discharged now , I'm packing my things that I used this past few days. Trev said he'll pick me up during his lunch time , alam na pala ni Trev kung san kami ni Xhion nakatira dahil siya muna yung pina bantay ni Xhion sakin. Dito din siya nag du-duty sa ospital ng school namin kaya mas madali lang sakanya ang puntahan ako.

I spent my days here catching up with our topics. I researched about the dance troupe and I found out that they have a leader , the leader posted about recruiting new members so I chatted her. She agreed about my decision but she said I have to get an audition before I could join them.

Maya-maya pa ay dumating na si Trev at tinulungan akong mag dala ng mga gamit ko.

"Are you feeling better?" he asked.

"Yeah"

"You know you could die from what you did?" he asked lowering his head.

"But I have to save that boy or else I would die in guiltiness if I didn't save him from that rushing car"

"You're just lucky that the accident didn't bring so much injuries" he said while pressing the button of the elevator. "Did you know that I trembled so much when I heard you got into an accident? 'Cause I can't bear to lose 1 more"

"I'm sorry"

"It's okay , just take care of yourself"

"Yeah , I will"

"I will come to your house every week ends"

"Okay" I said and smiled at him. We arrived at the ground floor and met his co-workers.

"Good noon , Doc. Klyde" the nurses and doctor greeted him.

"Good noon" he greeted them with no expression to be seen in his face. Why are they like this if were in public. They're too cold and merciless , while inside the house , they're too sweet and humble. Maybe they're just keeping themselves aware from their sorroundings. I kept thinking and didn't notice thet we are in front of Trev's car already. He opened the door for me.

"I'm sorry I can't accompany you but I'll just send you to your house because I have classes to attend." he said while driving.

"It's okay , I can manage myself" I said.

He drove all the way to my house and helped me put my things inside the housse.

"Don't go out okay? Unless , you have something urgent to do." he said and kissed my forehead.

"Okay , bye. Take care" he just smiled and waved at me. I went upstairs to rest. Nakakabagot rin palang mag stay ospital at walang ginagawa.

[KINABUKASAN]

I was the one left in the house kasi nauna na sina Xhion , meron daw silang morning practice. Tinignan ko yung oras at maliit na time nalang yung meron ako. Agad akong bumaba at pumunta ng kusina , I saw a cereal and milk. I ate as fast as I can and hopped in my car. Pinaharurot ko yung sasakyan ko at agad nag park nung makarating ako sa school.

Pagkababa ko ng sasakyan ay agad akong tumakbo dahil malayo pa sa parking lot yung Kybos building. Nag patuloy ako sa pag tabko hanggang sa may mabangga akong pader , ang sakit nun ah! Tinignan ko yung pader na nabunggo ko at halos mapalundag ako sa nakita ko. Tao pala yung nabunggo ko. Ba't parang ang tigas naman ng katawan niya?

"Sorry" mag papatuloy na sana ako sa pag lalakad nung biglang nag salita siya.

"How are you?" he asked.

"Umm , I'm sorry? What do you mean?"

"You had an accident , right" ba't alam niya.

"Uh , I'm okay. But how did you know?" I asked.

"It's not important" he said. He's so cold.

"Okay" aalis na sana ulit ako nung....

"Did I tell you to go?" ano bang problema ng lalaking 'to?

"Do you need something?" I asked patiently.

"Nothing"

"Then I'll go"

"Do I have to repeat myself?"

"Then don't" aalis na sana ako kaso..

"Don't you dare turn your back at me"

"Bakit? Ano bang kailangan mo?" he didn't answered but just stared at me.."Nakakainis ka na ha!" ba't ko ba sinusunod 'tong lalaking 'to? Dapat kanina pa ako umalis eh.

"Did you apologize already?" he asked.

"Yeah , kanina pa"

"Sorry I didn't heard it. Can you repeat? Then I'll let you go" fine.

"Hmp. Sorry"

"What? It's not clear"

"Then buy some cotton buds before hearing it from me" I said and turned my back at him. I started to walk away and ignored him.

"See you next time , Ms. Kim"

-Jani , where are you?

"Oh sh*t , I'm late!" I said to myself and went inside the elevator. Pag kadating ko sa room namin wala silang lahat dito. Fvck this. Nasa science lab pala sila at sa 3rd floor pa iyon. Sh*t. Nagmamadali akong pumasok ulit sa elevator at pinindot yung 3rd floor button. Hayssst late nanaman.

*knocks*

"Come in"

"Good morning , Prof."

"You're late Ms. Kim" yumuko lang ako dahil sa kahihiyan. Bwiset na lalaking iyon..."Sit down" umupo ako sa bakanteng upuan..."So let's continue , we're talking about Nephron" tumigil muna siya sa pag sasalita at tumingin sakin. "Ms. Kim , please give me the parts of Nephron" mabuti nalang at advanced kami dun sa Canada.

"The parts of Nephron are ; Glomerous , Bowman's Capsule , Proximal Tubules , Collecting Tubules , Distal Tubule , Descending Tubule , Ascending Tubules , Peritubular Capillaries , Loop of Henle and Collecting duet." ang dami nun ah.

"Very good , I like your intelligence" I just nod at my Prof. and about to sit down when..."Wait , can you define what is Nephron?" he asked again.

"A Nephron is a functional unit of the kidney that is composed of the glomerous and tubule"

"Thank you , you can sit down now." nag simula na siya sa discussion namin pero hindi ako nakinig dahil natapos na namin yung ganitong topic last year sa Canada. Lumipas ang tatlong oras at discuss lang discuss yung mga prof namin.

*knocks*

"Yes , miss Mindy?" tanong ni prof sa leader ng dance troupe. Siya pala yan.

"I'll just excuse the members of my dance troupe , we'll have our first meet today for the upcoming event"

"Okay , dance troupe members you're excused until dismissal , and you can bring your bags , too." mabuti nalang at nag message si Mindy sakin kagabi na mag dala ng gamit for practice.

"Can I call miss Avlair , too?" Mindy asked. Sumamana ako sa kanya papuntang studio ng dance troupe. Pag dating namin ay agad na nagsitayuan at nagsilapitan samin. Nanatili akong nakatungo dahil may isang member akong nakita na parang sinusuri ako , na para bang nakikilala niya ako.

"Uhm guys...We have a newbie here , and she'll have her audition in front of us." Mindy said.

"That's nice!"

"Avrail , don't be shy show us your face" Mindy said.."I'll get your glasses is it okay" agad akong umiwas kay Mindy. I can't remove it , they might recognize me...

"Uh , I can't let you" I said looking away.

"Why is there something wrong?" Mindy asked me.

"Nothing , can I change my clothes?" I asked.

"Yeah you can" she said. I went to the rest room , I changed my clothes and went to the mirror wall. Should I hide my identity to them? I think I should tell them who am I. I can't stand lying to everyone but I have to. After I decided I went out hiding my face.

"Oh , you removed your glasses" takang tanong ni Mindy. I let out a heavy sigh and looked at them.

"A-Azeina?" gulat na tanong ni Mindy.

"Nananaghinip ba ako?" tulalang tanong nung isang lalaki naming kasama.

"S-sampalin mo nga ako" saad naman ng isa.

"Nagulat ko ata kayo" nahihiyang saad ko.

"A-ahh hindi po" sabat naman ng isang babae.

"T-too b-ba 'to? Si i-idol nasa harap natin?" tanong nung isang member. 

"Guys" I called them but they kept talking..."Guys calm down , I have something to tell you" I said.

"GUYS!!" tawag attention ni MIndy sa kanila. "Please listen to Miss Azeina" sinuod nila si Mindy at tahimik na nakinig sakin.

"Guys , you are the only ones who knows that I'm here. Please don't tell anyone" I sincerely asked..

"Rest assured miss Azeina!" sagot nung isang lalaking member.

"Just call me Azeina when we're alone but Avrail when we're in public , okay?" I asked and smiled.

"We have no problem 'bout that" sagot nung lalaking kasama ni Mindy kanina.

"Nga pala idol bakit may braces ka na?" takang tanong nung babaeng member din. 

"It's fake" nakangiting sagot ko.

"Mas maganda ka pala sa personal , pwede bag paturo nung mga dancing moves mo?" tanong ni Mindy.

"Bakit?" takang tanong ko sa kanya.

"Kasi nakakaakit kang tignan pag sumasayaw" saad naman nung lalaking kasama ni Mindy kanina.

"Sus parang di naman" nahihiyang saad ko.."Para saan pala 'tong practice?" tanong ko kay Mindy.

"Ininvite kasi tayo sa isang competition this September sa Tokyo" eh? Pano nila napili eh ang layo-layo nila samin..."So napag-usapan namin ni Principal na kailangan ngayon palang ay nakapag-practice na tayo"

"How many competitions outside our country did you won already?" I asked them.

"Around ten I guess , minsan kasi natatalo rin kami dahil mdami ring mas angat samin" sagot niya.

"Well , that's nice" I said and smiled.

"Iba ka pa rin." sabat nung lalaki.

"Bakit?" takang tanong ko.

"Mas marami kang nanaluhan sa dance competitions worldwide kahit mag isa ka lang" sagot naman niya.

"Hindi ako mag-isa noh , meron akong mga kasama." natatawang saad ko.

"Oo meron nga pero back up dancers lang"

"What time yung start ng practice natin?" I asked.

"Right now?" saad ni Mindy na parang humuhingi siya ng opinyon.

"Okay!" masiglang saad ko.

Habang nag eensayo kami ay kinakabahan ako kasi baka may sumilip sa glass wall sa paligid namin , mabuti nalang at mirror yung nasa harap namin. Tapos na din silang mag pakilala sakin.

*krinngg*

"Okay , let's stop here. For now let's have our lunch" Mindy said. She walked towards me and tapped my shoulders..."Wala na talagang mas gagaling kesa sayo" nakangiting saad niya at pumunta na sa locker room ng studio. Nagulat ako nung biglang sumulpot si Dei sa harap ko.

"Here" he gave me a bottle of water. I was drinking when Dei slowly wiped my sweat using a clean towel. My eyes widened and directly stopped from drinking.

"I'm sorry , namamawis ka kasi kaya di ko mapigilang punasan" nahihiyang saad niya. 

"It's okay , nagulat lang ako" saad ko.

"Here , get this" he said and gave me the towel.

"Thanks" saad ko. Ngumiti lang siya sakin at umalis.

Andito ako sa c.r at inaayos ko pa yung braces at glasses ko. Naka civilian lang kaming dance troupe dahil maya-maya mag sisimula din kami.

Andito na kami sa cafeteria at kasama ko ang buong dance troupe. Nagtatwanan kami at nagkwekwentuhan nung.

"Ate!!" may sumigaw na mittere student at tinakpan yung mga mata ko. Naramdaman kong lumapit siya sakin at bumulong.

"Hi ate! I missed you" natigilan ako nung makilala ko kung sino ito. Dahan dahan niyang inalis yung mga kamay niya sa mata ko. Nilingon ko siya at ayun napangiti ako nung nakita kong ngumingiti siya.

Nakita ko yung buong dance troupe at ilang estudyante na naka tingin samin. Ngumiti ako na nahihiya dahil ang awkward nilang tumingin.

"Excuse me , kakausapin ko lang siya" pag papaalam ko sa kanila at hinila si Zech palabas ng cafeteria papuntang garden. Malapit lang naman ito sa cafeteria.

"Zech" tawag ko sa kanya.

"Yes , ate?" he asked.

"Don't call me ate in public , okay?" I sincerely asked and smiled at him.

"Why?" 

"Because I'm not your ate Azeina in school , I'm Avrail" 

"But--"

"Zech , please obey ate"

"I can't call you ate here and I can't call you ate at home because you aren't there" he sadly said.

"I'm sorry but I can't reveal my identity , please go with the flow" I said.

"Okay" I was upset to myself making this little boy sad. I don't have choice but this. 

"Okay , let's go back to your driver" kailangan ko siyang ihatid sa driver niya baka hindi naman ito kakain.

"I want to eat lunch with you" he said.

"Next time , promise" I said and smiled at him.

"You promised that" he said and went in the car when we arrived at the main entrance. He waved at me saying goodbye and I waved back , too. I went back to cafeteria but someone bumped at me.

"Ouch" I said and held my forehead , "I'm sorry" I said.

"We met again miss Kim" nangunot yung noo ko nung makilala ko yung boses.

"Ikaw nanaman?" tinaasan ko siya ng kilay at dun ko lang nakita na kasama niya pala sina Hlyx. So siya pala yung kaibigan na tinutukoy nila.

"Yes" he said.

"And so?" mataray na tanong ko.

"Wala naman" sagot niya.

"Pinapainit mo ba yung ulo ko?" hindi siya sumagot kaya nilampasan ko siya pero nahawakan niya yung braso ko at hinila pabalik. Sa lakas ng pag hatak niya sakin ay nawalan ako ng balanse.

"Ow!" daing ko nung matumba ako sa sahig.

"Avrail , are you ok?" tanong ni Hlyx.

"Jani! What happened?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Dawn na kakalapit lang.

"Masakit ba?" tanong naman ni Ronn sakin nung tinulungan niya akong tumayo. Sina Chrys at Jyro napa lapit din sakin. Talagang makikita mo yung pag aalala sa mga mukha nila.

"It's nothing , sobra pa dito yung nakuha ko noon. Kaya wala na ito sakin" sagot ko sakanya.

" Dei , tayo na , baka hinahanap na tayo ni Mindy" saad ko at humakbang papasok ng cafeteria. Sakto namang nakita namin na palabas na sina Mindy at ang buong dance troupe.

"Andito ka na pala" nakangiting saad ni Mindy.

"Actually kakarating ko lang"
