Chapter 17

AZEINA'S POV :

-Next Morning-

I woke up because of the annoying sound coming from downstairs. I washed and put on my jersey before coming down.

Pagkababa ko ay dun ako napatigil at tinignan ang magulong bahay. Ba't andito sina Trev , Luhan at Zech? Nagugulo yung bahay dahil sa pinaggagawa nilang lahat. Si Gia at Gab magkatabi sa sofa at kain lang ng kain , sina Zech , Xhion at Eun naghahabulan habang naghahagisan ng mga kahit anong bagay na manipis. Pumunta ako ng kusina at dun naman nakita yung makalat na kusina. Si Trev nasa harap ng stove at parang may nilulutong nabatok. Sina Chrys at Jyro naman nililinisan yung maduming sahig , si Luhan naman naghuhugas ng pinggan at si Hlyx naman nag sasaing ng mali. 

Nagulat ako nung biglang nabasag ni Luhan yung isang pinggan at nadulas si Chrys kaya natumba ito kay Trev. 

"BOYS!!!!" inis na sigaw ko at alam kong abot kabilang village yung sigaw ko dahil hindi talaga nila ako napansin na bumaba.

Nagulat silang lahat at napatingin sakin.

"A-Avrail? Hehe , gising ka na pala?" 

"Oh Avrail , sorry ang kalat"

"Hala niyo! Galit niyan si Avrail"

"Ang ingay niyo kasi!"

"Kalat kayo ng kalat eh"

"Shut up" I coldly said and looked around.

Napatingin ulit ako sa sala nung may marinig akong nabasag. Lumapit ako dun at nakita kong may nabasag na frame. Kinuha ko at hinarap yung frame sakin. Yung picture namin ni Haides. Naramdaman kong biglang uminit yung ulo ko at naiktukod yung kamay ko sa mga bubog na mula sa glass ng frame. Dahil sa galit ko ay di ko na naramdaman yung sakit mula sa sugat ko.

"Sinong bumasag nito?" walang emosyong tanong ko.

"Avrail!"

"I repeat one more..Who broke this?" I asked trembling in anger.

"Uh , I just accidentally hit it with my hand." Gia said.

"So it's you?" I said and slowly stood up.."Do you even know how to be careful?" I asked her and slowly approached her.

"Avrail , stop. We can buy a new frame, " Gia said while steeping backwards.

"Do you know how much this frame worth?" I asked her.

"I-I can pay!" she said.

"It's worth more than your life. It was Haides who made this in front of me , he made this by himself and you're so chill saying that you can pay this?" I sarcastically laughed and grabbed her shirt...."You owe me your life now. Just be thankful that you're still alive, " I warned and pushed her away.

I harshly get my thing with my bleeding hand.

"It's just a thing and I already owe you my life?" she asked.

I just stopped walking and talked , "It's not 'just a thing'."

I went to the garage and put my thing in my car's trunk. I was about to get inside but someone stopped the door for being opened.

"Princess , your hand, " Trev said and pulled my hand gently.

He started to remove the small pieces of glass in my hand and clean it.

"Why do you keep hurting yourself?" he asked.

"I'm not, " I said and pulled my hand away.

"Princess , are you angry towards kuya?" he asked.

"I'm not, " I answered and got some gauge to cover my wound but he tapped my hand away and did it.

"Then why do I feel like you hate me?" he asked again.

"I'm sorry , I'm just in a bad mood."

"Kuya missed his princess you know?" he said and smiled at me..."Can I get a hug from my princess?" he asked and spread his arms for a hug.

I hugged him tightly.."I missed you too"

We decided to spend some time and he brought me to a cafe near the village.

"Why didn't you tell me you're adapting a kid?" he asked me.

"I'm not adapting him , just gonna raise him, " I answered.

"When Zech knew it after we went to your house , he felt sad because he thought that Eun would replace him." he said.

Napahampas ako sa noo ko nung malimutan kong nandun pala si Zech kanina.

"Ugh! I forgot to greet him earlier, "

"It's okay , just treat him later, " he said.

We stayed there for an hour and decided to go to school. Maaga pa kaya wala pa masyadong estudyante dito.

Dumeretso muna ako a rooftop para magpahangin habang hinihintay yung game namin. Pumunta muna ako a gilid at pinikit yung mga mata ko habang nakikinig sa music na plinay ko.

Natinag ako nung marinig kong bumukas yung pintuan nung rooftop. Tinignan ko kung anong oras na at nakita kong alas dies na pala ng umaga. Nakita ko si Gaevy at yung mga babaeng parati niyang kasama. Nakita kong parang maraming paa at sugat si Gaevy at sa tingin ko ay pinag iisahan siya nung mga kaibigan niya.

"Alam mo Gaevy , nagtiwala kami sayo pero ano yung ginawa mo?" - Kailee

"You're such a toxic friend!" - Morlif.

"Ang , mabuti pa sayo ay mamatay nalang." - Siccy.

"Girls corner her, "- Kailee.

"She's already cornered by us , wala na syang takas." - Hail.

"You're a b*tch!" - Siccy.

Napatayo ako nung sipain ni Siccy si Gaevy kaya napasandal ito sa railings at muntik ng mahulog.

"You're such a liar!" - Hail.

Napahakbang ako nung sinampal ni Hail si Gaevy. Yeah , she's my enemy but I can't just tolerate this.

"You fooled us!" - Morlif.

"You are a living demon!!" tuluyan na akong napatakbo sa direksyon nila nung tinulak ni Kailee si Gaevy at dun na nahulog si Gaevy. 

No , this won't happen!

*Heavy breathing*

Luckily I caught her before she fall unto the ground.

"AAAHHHH!!! T-TIGNAN NIYO MAY MGA TAO SA ROOFTOP!!!" sigaw ng isang babae mula sa ilalim.

Nagsilapitan ang mga tao sa kinatatayuan niya at nagpapanic kung paano kami ililigtas.

"A-Avrail?" Gaevy asked while looking at me..."I-I'm scared" she said.

"Don't be. I promise I won't let go, " I said to keep her calm.

Napalunok at nung magslide ng kaunti yung kamay ko at yun naman yung rason sa pagsisigawan nung mga tao sa ilalim. Narinig kong humahagulgol na si Gaevy at nanginginig na rin siya sa kaba.

"Gaevy, " I called her but she didn't hear me..."Gaevy!" this time I caught her attention.

"Listen to me, " I said but she just ignored me and continued to cry in fear.

"Listen to me we don't have much time , I could lose my strength anytime so listen to me carefully!" I said that made her look at me again.

"I-I will, " she said.

"Thank you. This time grab my waist and try to climb up." I said.

"N-No , i-its too high from d-down there!" she said.

"Gaevy , jut this once please. Save yourself for Gaevon , I know he'll lose his self if the other half of him die." I said. My hand slid once again.."Gaevy please , hurry!" I said and that made her do the thing I've said. 

She finally reached the top and she's too close of saving herself.

~Thank you Gaevy. You listened to me.~

"A-AVRAILL!!!!"

~If I close my eyes , I won't feel anything~

*Black out*

HUVANN'S POV :

We were cleaning the house when suddenly someone's phone rang.

"Hello?" it's Xhion....."WHAT?! A-AVRAIL IS WHAT?!! TELL ME CLEARLY!!" he looks like panicking so we went to him.

"What happened?" Luhan asked.

"T-They said , A-Avrail is in danger. She and Gaevy are hanging in the rooftop! I need to save her!!" 

We immediately ran to school boosting our cars to run as fast as it can. We arrived so soon and didn't even parked our car.

Tumakbo na kami sa building na sinasabi ni Xhion at dun nakita na nakabitin sina Gaevy at Avrail. Hindi na ako nagdalawang isip at nauna ng tumakbo sa hagdan.

Nakarating ako dun at may nakitang apat na estudyante na nakatayo dun. Masama ko silang tinignan.

"Di niyo man lang sila tinulungan?" inis kong tanong sa kanila.

"A-AVRAIL!!!!" 

Nanlaki yung mga mata ko at agad na tumakbo sa pwesto nila Gaevy. Nahawakan ko yung kamay ni Azeina bago pa siya nahulog. Dahan-dahan ko siyang hinila paitaas. Hiniga ko siya sa kandungan ko at nagaalalang tinignan yung namumutlang mukha niya.

"Avrail!!" agad na tumakbo sa direksyon namin sina Xhion , Luhan at Trev.

"Ba't mo ginawa yun?" naiiyak na tanong ni Xhion habang hinihimas yung maputlang pisngi ni Azeina.

"Let me check her first!" saad ni Trev at pumalit sa pwesto ko na may dalang emergencey kit.

Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya habang inaasikaso siya ni Trev.

"Who did this?" napatingin ako kay Luhan.

His eyes are burning in anger. I've never seen him like this , he's a calmest and quietest person that I've ever known but I don't know if who he is right now.

"No one? Are you sure there's non of you?" he asked to those girls I saw earlier.

The girls trembled in fear when Luhan grabbed the girl in front.

"I'm gonna ask again , who did this?" he asked.

"L-Luhan , i-it's me. A-Avrail....S-she tried to s-save me when I-I was f-falling...I'm sorry , I didn't mean to....I-I feel guilty f-for w-what I d-did, " we all looked at Gaevy when she spoke.

TREVONNE'S POV :

Napatingin kami kay Gaevy nung nagsalita siya. She has bruises and wounds all over her body. I stopped Luhan when he was about to grab Gaevy.

"Stop it Luhan , she's a victim too. The culprits are those sh*ts, " I said and supported Gaevy because she was trembling and was about to collapse.

"Gab call the ambulance, " Xhion said.

"Where did you got this bruises and wounds?" I asked her.

"I-I...This is n-nothing , I-I am worried for A-Avrail." she said and looked at Az with those gulity eyes...."I-It's all m-my fault , sorry." 

"Don't be , she's a strong girl. I know she saved you because she know you have a good side, " I said and continued to treat her wounds.

Naga raround ako ngayon dahil naka assign ako ngayon as a doctor.

"Doc , okay lang po ba yung nanay ko?" a student asked me when she encountered me in the way with her mother.

"She's good , she just need more exercise and everyday medicines okay? Uhm , also don't forget to feed her in the right time , thank you." I said.

"Thank you doc, " she said. 

Pumunta na agad ako sa room ni Az pagkatapos kong maground. Umupo ako sa tabi ng hospital bed niya at tinignan yung namamaga niyang kamay. 

~How can you play your game if you have this hand?~

 ~Az , it's been a day but you're still asleep. You skipped a game yesterday and you know , they won the game for you.~ 

Hiniga ko yung ulo ko sa kamay niya at hindi ko na napigilang makatulog dahil sa puyat.
