10 The Solution

Daryl was currently floating above the blue planet, his eyes closed but his ears working overtime. He was pushing himself to the absolute far end, ignoring the splitting headache he had for processing too much information. He was going through every conversation he could hear and trying to piece everything together. He was done with New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Phoenix.

A day passed while he was still in space and he finally opened his eyes. He had finally got what he wanted and it was time to collect his prize. He sped up to the place where he heard the key word come from. He saw a town surrounded by a stone wall guarded by the military and with a crash, he landed in front of a house. He looked inside and saw a woman and a child hugging each other. His eyes glowed red and lasers reduced the front door to smithereens and Daryl walked in.

"I heard once as a man talked about Homelander's child, I didn't follow it because I thought it might be fans playing tricks. But, I am desperate enough to believe the rumors. Tell me the truth, is this the natural born child of you and Homelander?" Daryl asked the woman as he walked closer to them.

"Please, please don't take him away! I will do anything you say, just don't take him away!" the woman begged him.

"But I don't want anything from you now that you have confirmed it," Daryl said, got hold of her by her neck and threw her out of the window.

"Mom!" the boy screamt and was going to go after her when Daryl got hold of him by his hair.

"She'll be okay after some aspirin. But you, you are the biological child of a science induced superhuman, your whole body is just a treasure trove waiting to be explored," Daryl said the dragged him out. The boy saw his mother and started becoming frantic, trying to free himself but Daryl's grip was one he couldn't free himself from. Then, the boy's eyes turned red and lasers shot out of them, hitting Daryl on his face. Daryl growled in displeasure as he blocked them with his left hand, his right hand hit the boy's stomach, sending him flying away, his momentum stopped by a tree which he fell. He coughed out some blood as he groaned in pain, clutching his stomach.

"I don't have time to waste!" Daryl said, got hold of him and flew off, not caring what would happen to the boy but he knew if he didn't die because of that punch, he was strong enough to survive the wind shear. He didn't go super Sonic because he didn't know what it would do to him, but his speed was enough to arrive the base in three hours. He floated to where the lab where he found the scientists busy trying to decipher the compound V. The appeal of a super soldier was just too appealing.

"He is a boy who was born naturally with Compound V enhancements in his bloodstream," Daryl said and threw Ryan to one of them. "I hope he can help you decipher this Compound V and how it can help my team!"

"Right away!" one white coat said and carried the unconscious boy away.

"By the way, he is the illigitimate child of Homelander, so go nuts," he shouted at the scientists before he flew away. Daryl didn't know the storm he had just created with this move of his.

Becca woke up with her whole body aching. She found herself in a hospital bed, he left side bandaged due to the glass shrapnel lodging inside her. She got out of paid, painfully and was going to the door when it was opened by Madeline Stillwell.

"Good to see you awake. Tell me, where is Ryan?" she asked. Becca was momentarily frozen due to shock.

"I thought you people took him!" she cried.

"No, if we had, we wouldn't be having this conversation, now would we?" Madeline said.

"It was a hero, wearing a blue suit with a star on his chest, big and strong enough to throw me out of the house with one hand," Becca answered. Madeline felt her heart speed up when she heard this. She already knew who it was and it was bad news, it meant the military had Ryan! She walked out of the room without talking to Becca a second more.

Left alone, Becca quickly put on her clothes and walked out of her room. She was surprised she wasn't been guarded like she thought but when she walked out, she came to know why. The city was in chaos after the fight and every law enforcer was busy. She looked at the rubble everywhere and wondered whether New York had been attacked. When she asked someone what happened, the person told her the whole thing, rather patiently. With new found worry of Butcher, she tried to call him using the number she knew but his phone was off. She then stole a car lik he taught her once and she headed to his aunt's, Judy Atkinson.

It was took her a day to arrive and she impatiently ran inside the house, not bothering to knock.

"Judy, Judy, is Billie here?" she asked out loud. She heard gasps from the kitchen so she ran there only to bump into Billie who seemed like he was looking at a ghost.

"Becca?" he asked just to confirm. Becca didn't answer but gave him a bear hug, making him groan in pain, making her let go.

"You're hurt!" she exclaimed as she started to search for the wound.

"Rubble from the New York disaster fell on me. But, how are you here? How are you alive?" he asked, still in disbelief.

"We have much to talk about, Billie," Becca said then looked inside the kitchen where she saw Hughie with a bandaged hand, Mother's Milk and Frenchie who were smiling at her knowingly.

"Hi," she greeted by hem before turning to Butcher. "Can we speak in private?"

"Don't worry, everyone in this kitchen can be trusted not to say a word," Butcher assured her. Becca nodded before taking her seat. She then narrated her whole ideal from Homelander raping her, Vought's cover up, her pregnancy, her difficult birth, raising her child and finally, Ryan been kidnapped. When she was done, everyone in the room was stunned silent. Frenchie was the first person to come to.

"This is unbelievable!" he said with his accent. "Homelander having a kid, this will make him have a target that can hurt him."

"If he has a heart. After the New York catastrophe, I think we are in over our head with this Supe hunting," MM said.

"We were lucky to be alive and we were just collateral!" Hughie added.

"Billie, please, I can't imagine what Ryan is going through right now. Please help me find him before Vought does," Becca begged.

"I say good luck to the poor bugger. One less Supe to worry about," Butcher answered her.

"If Vought finds him, he will be turned to another Homelander. I can't...I don't want him to turn into him, please!" Becca grovelled on her knees. Billie's heart broke seeing her like that so he quickly help her up.

"Okay, for you, love, anything," he said and kissed her forehead. "Do you know who took him?"

"He was a hero, he had a blue suit with a star on his chest..."

"No! No way, Butcher!" MM suddenly exclaimed as he got up. Becca was surprised by his reaction but then looked at everyone's reaction and she was puzzled.

"Do you know him?" she asked them.

"Yes, the whole fucking world knows him. He is the reason New York was flattened! Daryl, the Supe cop," Billie answered.

"Butcher, if this guy is the one who took Ryan, we might as well tell Homelander to come for back up," Hughie joked as he got up.

"Homelander, back up! Good idea, Hughie. The cunt will do as a back up!" Billie said, a crazy smile on his face.
