49 You Are In Charge

In the recesses of his mind, voices intertwined with glimpses of the outside world, and an undeniable surge in strength coursed through him. Varion, stationed in the sub-base, experienced a transformation, his capabilities expanding into a realm beyond ordinary comprehension.

A plethora of abilities manifested within him — telepathic connections, superhuman vision, enhanced strength, and incredible speed. Varion's form blurred as he moved, not in conventional speed but through teleportation. It wasn't a linear shift but a traversal akin to a wormhole, a distinct trait of super Kryptonians.

"Idea Ability is the primary power super Kryptonians possess. It seems they harness the power of the mind," Varion mused, acknowledging the instinctive nature of these abilities for super Kryptonians, setting them apart from their ordinary counterparts.

Manipulating metal effortlessly in his hands, Varion marveled at the fusion of Psychokinesis and his innate abilities. "The Psychokinesis developed under the influence of the T virus, combined with its own ability, seems to have been enhanced a lot." Varion contemplated the newfound capabilities, realizing the potential for influencing gravity and achieving short flights if he were on solid ground.

Turning his attention to his subordinate, Mousse, Varion inquired about the bait. Mousse's response provided crucial information about Alice and her party returning from Dongjin and gearing up for a potential confrontation at the hive base in Raccoon City.

Varion, strategic and forward-thinking, decided to momentarily halt the scientific research number cultivation plan. "It doesn't matter. The scientific research number cultivation plan will be suspended first. Next, we will let these boys grow enough."

For Varion, each Kryptonian represented a valuable asset in the grand scheme of Kryptonian civilization. Focused on quality over quantity, he sought to build an elite civilization. He acknowledged that sheer numbers, without parity in capability, held little weight, particularly in the vast realm of interstellar civilizations.

Amidst these considerations, S1 Hale, a commanding presence, reported the completion of training for the first team of two hundred new Kryptonians. "Commander, the first team has completed the training, please instruct," Hale declared with a solemn demeanor, standing before the assembled Kryptonian recruits. The impending battle loomed, and Varion's decisions would shape the course of their collective destiny.

"Well, yes, starting now, you'll be in charge of the Las Vegas base."

"Yes."

The team emerged from the sub-base, making their debut. Despite their youthful appearance—around fourteen or fifteen years old in human terms—their height and abilities exceeded those of normal humans. Their bodies had been enhanced, resembling steel. Conventional firearms were now obsolete against them, thanks to the nano battle suits they wore, capable of withstanding damage up to a nuclear bomb's impact. Death was no longer a threat, though injuries were inevitable.

"Master, is this not too soon? Perhaps they aren't ready," voiced Mousse, expressing concern.

"No, Mousse, time and the enemy won't wait for their readiness."

Varion reasoned that Umbrella would soon discover their support for Alice and her team. Anticipating Isaac's vengeful response, Varion saw an opportunity to use these young boys for soldier training.

"Only through the baptism of war will they evolve into true warriors."

The potential losses didn't weigh heavily on Varion's mind. If they perished, it meant they were eliminated, and Varion doubted any weapons could harm these boys. Fully equipped, especially in their nano battle suits, they were impervious to the weaponry of this world.

"Hey, shredded pork, shall we go for barbecue after work?"

"No, I've heard the base is on high alert lately. It's safer to eat at the cafeteria."

A male researcher chimed in from the other side, "Have you heard? A group of people arrived from the base, or maybe from the sub-base."

"Does it concern us?" someone asked.

"It doesn't matter; the base will operate under their management now."

"Why would Dr. Varion make such a decision? Those people look like they're in their teens at most."

"Who knows!" The mysterious circumstances surrounding the new arrivals sparked curiosity among the researchers.
