A stream of gas filled the main control room, rushing toward Varion's face. His brows furrowed, and he slowly began to awaken, gazing at the unfamiliar surroundings before him, still in a daze.

"Mousse, where are we?"

"Commander, we're on Earth."

"Mousse, where in the galaxy are we?"

"Sir, we're still in our solar system."

Solar system? Clutching his head, he's still in outer space, yet he can see the blue planet ahead and a dark satellite beside it—it's not the moon.

"Could it be... another Earth?"

There are countless Earths scattered across the cosmos. Is there a naming fee?

"Did you gather any useful information?"

"Some."

Drip... Mousse's collected information begins to appear on the screen. Overall, the historical trajectory mirrors that of Resident Evil, but deviations become apparent after the modern era.

"I still don't know what kind of world this is. Well, let's play it safe for now!"

.....

In a familiar twist, he establishes a company, using gold brought from the Resident Evil world as initial capital. A bit of maneuvering is enough.

"BOSS, here's this month's report," the secretary hands the profit report to Varion.

Hmm... The company he started, Krypton Technology, specializes in pharmaceutical research and development. Unfortunately, this month's profits from their cancer-targeted drugs are enough to make competitors envious.

And it's not just this one potion. Umbrella has ample stock for potion research and development. Aligning with this world's drug research progress, a few samples could yield significant profits.

The three most lucrative industries are medicine, arms, and smuggling. The pharmaceutical industry is the safest and quickest route. It's normal to invest hundreds of millions or even billions with no immediate returns; after all, it's scientific research, not grocery shopping.

"Yes, keep it up. What's your schedule lately?"

"BOSS, you have a banquet tomorrow hosted by members of Congress."

After a brief pause, he grasps the implication. The congressman needs support, and conveniently, the one who recently contacted him is eyeing the next presidential election—a potential political ally.

Cancer-targeted drugs, AIDS-targeted drugs, and more have turned Krypton Technology into a juggernaut in this world.

To outsiders, he needs allies. He's not here to dominate; the solitary ruler often meets an unfavorable fate. A bit of cooperation is necessary.

"Alright."

Though uninterested, such occasions aren't his favorite, yet he has to play his part in the scene. It's a matter of mutual benefit—the company needs political protection, and the politician needs his money. Fortunately, minor troubles won't demand his direct attention, which is acceptable.

.....

The following day, a party hosted by the Congress members.

Celebrities from various fields, even Hollywood stars, grace the event, with actresses vying for attention. The media, akin to hyenas catching a scent, exploits every flash.

"Look, that's the director of the Alien War. The movie did great at the box office. Is the actress next to him the lead in the next film? Wow, what a stunning figure."

"Oh, the big shot's here too. It's so dark; the flash will reflect on him."

"Damn, my battery's exhausted. Should I wait until I change the battery before leaving?"

On the red carpet, aside from those needing a bit of spotlight, most hurriedly passed through, proving their presence. The star of the show remained a parliament member.

"Look, isn't that the head of the recent medical giant, Krypton Technology?"

"No doubt, that's him. I heard he's quite low-key; didn't expect him to show up today."

Varion's presence made Congressman Brooks blush. What are political resources? Varion's arrival sent a clear political message to his competitors.

"Varion, we've been waiting for you. Hell, all the ladies' eyes are on you."

At the banquet, everyone found their circles or expanded their social connections, seeking cooperation opportunities. Those present were not simple figures, excluding those from the entertainment industry.

"Sorry, you know how annoying traffic can be."

Brooks nodded. "Yeah, I'm working on getting that fixed. With your sponsorship, Varion, things will change."

He was pleased. This young man might not look it, but he was quite competent. Varion had generously contributed to his charity, a real asset, besides the visible support.

Brooks smiled, "Okay, Let me introduce you to a few people."

Taking him into the banquet, they approached a middle-aged man in a sleek, understated suit—a blend of low-key and luxury. Being introduced by Brooks meant the man was likely a notable figure.

"Allen, let me introduce you. This is Varion, the chairman of Krypton Technology. Varion, meet Mr. Allen from Mars Ltd."

Allen extended his hand with a smile. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Varion. Krypton Technology has been quite dazzling lately! Made a fortune, have you?"

Varion chuckled, "Just a little money. Not worth mentioning. Mars is the big player in the industry."

As they exchanged pleasantries, Varion couldn't help but feel a bit disdainful toward Allen. Despite having technology like nanoworms that could be used for cancer treatment, Allen, an arms manufacturer, prioritized its use in warfare.

"Looking forward to our future collaboration."

"Absolutely."

Brooks took him to meet a few more people, politicians or other influential figures. Anyone they encountered had the potential to impact the global economy significantly.

"Hi... General Hawke, how have you been lately?" Brooks asked a man in military uniform. Varion was intrigued, noting the lieutenant general rank.

"Congressman Brooks. You haven't been out much lately. All good?"

The two old men began exchanging whispers, occasionally bursting into laughter.

Brook's influential connections were evident. Whether in the military, politics, or business, he had a foot in each circle. No wonder he aimed to run for the next presidential candidacy. Varion wondered if he'd tweet. After all, a president who doesn't tweet isn't a good president—quite amusing.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce you. This is Mr. Varion from Krypton Technology. Varion, this is General Hawke. Honestly, if you're looking to have fun, don't look for him. He relies on the ball."

Hawke's face turned red. "Brooks, you... Don't talk nonsense. It's impossible. Hello, Mr. Varion. Our military recently purchased many of your company's products. They're quite popular. We hope to have more businessmen like you. It makes things much easier for us on the front line."

"I'm honored to be the kind of businessman you're looking for. If there's a chance, I'll definitely join you guys. But, General, will you really give up the ball?"

Brooks burst into laughter instantly. General Hawke waved his hand in a helpless look.

After the party ended, Varion returned to his manor early.
