78 Game Reserve Planet

As for the consequences of capturing a Fixed Star in a particular galaxy on the life within it, Varion remained indifferent. In the world of interspecies relations, mercy held no place.

The prerequisites for life—organic matter, water, and atmosphere—are typically associated with the light and heat of a Fixed Star. However, there exist life forms, like deep-sea creatures, that don't rely on Fixed Star light and generate their own heat through chemical energy. Humans, too, primarily need light for their eyes and can adapt to alternatives. Silicon-based life forms, such as the Transformers, have no necessity for light.

A month later, the Mars base underwent a significant transformation. The Titan spaceships vanished, replaced by a colossal battleship towering nearly 400 meters high within the protective cover. This was their new scientific research vessel, also known as the Future Number. The birth of their future on Krypton would commence here. The original scientific research vessel was now utilized for cultivating new Kryptonians.

"Sir, the Spaceship Rao has been equipped with my system. The quantum computer is in place, and it's currently powered by the old energy. It's equipped with hyperspace engines and wormhole technology. The weapons and equipment are ready, but we can only fully activate them after capturing a Fixed Star."

Varion was already quite content. This spaceship had the potential to overpower many civilizations. It could even outclass numerous high-level civilizations in the Marvel world. Although the weapons couldn't be utilized at the moment, it was expected. The weaponry on this spaceship consisted of energy weapons developed based on Fixed Star energy—laser energy weapons and pulse cannons. These two types of weapons were consistently available and operated as pure energy weapons, clean and pollution-free.

Once equipped with Fixed Star energy, this spaceship could be likened to a 'Death Star,' capable of obliterating a planet with a single shot. Additionally, it possessed a tow cannon capable of manipulating planets and even destroying Fixed Stars to impact entire galaxies—an application generally reserved for environmental transformations.

"A bit of a pity, only the hyperdrive can be used."

...

To clarify, the hyperspace engine involved the spacecraft reaching sub-light speed (90% of light speed), then accelerating to open subspace, and finally exiting upon reaching the destination.

As for the wormhole technology, it entailed opening a twisted wormhole, then initiating a targeted wormhole after the spacecraft's entry. This technology, however, required precise and secure coordinates. Without accurate coordinates, deviations or unexpected incidents could occur—such as accidentally colliding with a star.

Observing the people behind him, Varion noted that all two hundred Kryptonians in the early stage were present, except for the ten guarding the Blood Orchid Base and ten involved in processing Krypton technology companies. This constituted his full strength.

"Set off."

With no need for extensive communication or mobilization, Varion believed that there was no civilization capable of defeating them. Even if they couldn't win a direct confrontation, they had the ability to escape.

Meanwhile, on Earth, the disappearance of Wieland's industrial boss left his life and death unknown, causing a ten percent drop in stock prices, and chaos ensued within the group as individuals scrambled for positions. Unbeknownst to them, Krypton Technology continued its operations, largely unaffected by external affairs.

....

"Sir, we have reached the Kuiper belt," Moose reminded Varion.

Outside the spacecraft, an immense yet invisible energy belt, known as the Kuiper belt, surrounded the solar system. While vast, it appeared radiant to the Kryptonians. Varion had seen this breathtaking sight before, but each time left him marveling at its beauty.

"Let's go!"

"Mirai, initiate sub-light flight."

"Engaging."

"50%."

"90%."

"Entering sub-light speed, activating sub-space."

With a swift motion, the spaceship seemed to vanish into the starry expanse, inducing a surreal sensation among the occupants. This experience was unique to the Kryptonians; other species might require the use of dormant chambers to withstand such speeds. Without proper precautions, life forms from less advanced civilizations might face the risk of explosion.

Indeed, the Kryptonians were not yet at their peak. Many were either recovering or en route.

Two hours later, the spacecraft materialized in an unfamiliar galaxy. The outer view resembled a dark, star-filled sky, with few visible planets. However, the ones present were distinct.

"Is this our destination?"

"Yes, sir. According to the notes left on the Predator Civilization spacecraft, this is one of their hunting bases, and there are always three Predator larvae trials. However, their tribes will not be the same, and there will be competition."

Varion nodded. This appears to be the setting of the planet in the new Predator storyline. The Game Reserve planet.

Predators have been capturing humans or various life forms for hunting.

"Enough of the incognito act, I'll go for a workout."

"Sir, we will accoyyou." S1 and other said in union.

"No need. Stay here." Varion replied.

"Yes, sir"

Unable to persuade him, there was no further argument. Since it was a hunting planet, the individuals who arrived were simply iron warriors and couldn't harm Varion.

"By the way, Mousse, prepare a sword for me," Varion said with a mischievous grin.

"Sir, are you sure about this?"

Varion chuckled, "You should develop a sense of humor."

Varion exited the battleship, the Predator spaceship in the sky had already started tossing its occupants out, one person seemingly kicked off. However, luck might not be on everyone's side.

A muffled sound echoed in the woods.

A man in front of Varion crashed into the ground, his parachute unopened. Many others were still descending from the sky. Opening a parachute from such a height required not only exceptional combat awareness but also a bit of luck.

"Real-life PUBG, I haven't played this in a long time." Varion mused.
