Friday passed quickly according to the students. According to me, however, it wasn't at all that fast. Kim Namjoon haven't come to work. Maybe that's the reason why the day slothed by so slowly. I worried about him, though. Why had he not shown up? Is something wrong? Is he second guessing his decision about tomorrow? Is he ashamed? I'm not Korean. I'm just a woman from South Africa, who happens to be a Professor at an University in America. All of these negative thoughts aren't helping me. It's pestering through my mind-set, leaving behind a cold, empty hollow. Again I can't seem to push the reality, towards a room in the farthest corner of my mind. My father, who pretends to play the live action role of our Heavenly Father. The one who apparently decides who lives and who dies. The man who raised me. The man who changed on that fretful day. What if he were to find out? What will happen to Namjoon and the rest of his family? Will he fight for me? For us. Will our love survive? Will he blame me too for my father's unforgivable actions? I can feel how the tears burns behind my eyelids. I started picking up my stuff, happy that class is over for the day. I'm done for the week. I love my job, but even Professors needs their rest.

Abby slightly startled me, as she put a hand upon my shoulder. "Are you okay?" She asked her voice filled with concern. I soon realized that she wasn't alone, Dan were standing a few feet away. I could tell that he noticed that something's troubling me. "What if...?" I started but fallen quiet almost instantly. "Don't think like that Sam. Neither of us would say a thing. I promise you that gramps won't find out about it. And you don't have to worry about JJ either." Daniel said as he slowly inched closer. He stopped and pulled me into an embrace. Unintentionally the tears escaped from my eyes. I cried silently into the folds of his shirt. He's younger than me, but much taller than I am.

After a well deserved comfort, I pulled away and rubbed a lone tear away with the back of my hand. He smiled down at me. "Relax. Go home, take a shower and enjoy your night. He will pick you up tomorrow morning at ten," he informed me. I looked up at him excitedly. I asked a question without even knowing that I had asked it. He gave a throaty laugh, "Taehyung had an accident and Prof. Kim had to drag him to the hospital. He can't wait until tomorrow. Dress casually, nothing to fancy." I could feel how a smile tugged at my lips. He shook his head in amusement, greeted me and left. "See, I told you. You have nothing to worry about," Abby reminds me. I have completely forgotten about her whereabouts. We made our way out of the exit and went home for the weekend.
