CHAPTER ONE

THE REALM OF FORSAKEN ( RWBY VERSES )

When humanity first climbed above the rest of the animals on Earth, it did so with cunning, fortitude, and ferocity. Man mastered the use of tools, banded together, and grasped concepts that the simpler creatures on Earth simply could not comprehend. Mankind exploded across the surface of the planet, creating cultures, religions, and stories to be shared and traded with all walks of life. Not every meeting was peaceful, however, and mankind became proficient in remnant's most common pastime: war.

Clubs and spears yielded to swords and bows. Spears and bows were cut down by rifles and cannons. Mounted cavalry fell to machine gun fire. Bunkers and trenches trapped on the ground fell prey to the bullheads that soared free in the sky. With each war, innovation and competition hurried humanity along the path of their evolution. Then, one day, in a lull between empires, everything changed The grimms the creatures of darkness that looms around the whole world searching for negative energy like human emotions feeding upon it and destroying everything in their awake humanity and furnace races have suffered for centuries from their hands.

BUT YOU MAY WONDER HOW DID MY STORY CAME TO THIS LET ME TELL YOU THIS SITUATION AND MY LIFE AND WORLD STORY IT ALL BEGIN WITH

The Gods are immensely powerful beings that created Remnant. While there have been many various stories concerning the existence of dozens of deities, only two have currently been confirmed to actually exist, a pair of brothers: the God of Light and God of Darkness.

The God of Light created the forces of life, while the God of Darkness created the forces of death, including the Creatures of Grimm. At one point, they compromised to end their brotherly feud and created Humanity together as their masterpiece.

However, when Salem confronted the Gods to bring her beloved, Ozma, back to life and was denied, she traveled to different Kingdoms across the world, claiming that she stole immortality from the Gods and that if they helped her, they could do the same, when in reality she simply wanted to remove her curse, or at the very least make the Gods suffer for what they did.

Salem led an army of avaricious Humans to the Domain of Light where they were confronted by the two brothers. The army launched a barrage of magic at them. However, the God of Darkness simply harnessed it and used it to wipe out every Human on the planet. After Salem regenerated, both brothers expressed disappointment in their "failed experiment" being a remnant of what it once was before leaving, with the God of Darkness shattering the Moon as he left.

This world's been around for a long time, long enough that people have created dozens of gods. But if you believe Ozpin, two of them are actually real.

However, the God of Darkness simply harnessed it and used it to wipe out every Human on the planet. After Salem regenerated, both brothers expressed disappointment in their "failed experiment" being a remnant of what it once was before leaving, with the God of Darkness shattering the Moon as he left.

As Humanity, and now the Faunus, reemerge, this time without magic or the guidance of the Gods, the God of Light brought Ozma's soul back through reincarnation and gave him the task of reuniting Humanity. He also created the four Relics as a means to summon them back. If Humanity has redeemed itself, the Gods will make them whole again and restore magic amongst them. Otherwise, they will wipe them out for good, along with the planet itself.

In "Of Solitude and Self", it is revealed that the Gods originated from the Great Tree in the Ever After, and used their powers to shape the realm by creating both the Afterans as well as the different acres for them to live based on their purpose. Eventually, the Brothers outgrew their role and created both the Curious Cat and the Jabberwalker to replace them, before leaving to a "greater beyond" to create other worlds, one of which being Remnant.

Throughout history, the Gods were known by many different names and titles. As such, their true names - if they even have any - are unknown.

Both are powerful beings who believe in a balance and maintaining order, though the two were originally at war with each other, creating and destroying whatever they wished. They eventually came to an agreement and created mankind together as to mark the start of their deal. However, they were not as wise or intelligent as mankind believed as Salem found they could be manipulated into turning against each other.

The God of Darkness is one of the two Gods who created Remnant and the originator of the Grimm.

Initially, he created the Grimm in order to counteract the creations of the God of Light. However, the two eventually settled their differences and created Humanity together. Following this, the Grimm were largely kept confined to the Land of Darkness. In the tale The Two Brothers, it is revealed that the God of Darkness cared for the Grimm, as after his truce with his brother, he chose to live in the Land of Darkness among his own creations as opposed to anywhere here.

The Gods are immensely powerful beings that created Remnant. While there have been many various stories concerning the existence of dozens of deities, only two have currently been confirmed to actually exist, a pair of brothers: the God of Light and God of Darkness.

In the Fairy Tales The Shallow Sea and The Judgment of Faunus, The God of Animals is a shapeshifting deity appearing in the creation myths of Faunus. However, if this god's existence is questionable as to whether it is true or not, but they are described in The Shallow Sea as having ram horns when revealing themselves and having branching horns in The Judgement of Faunus, indicating they may be the two Brothers in disguise.

The Two Brothers is a fairy tale detailing more information on the Brother Gods. As detailed in the story, in the beginning of time, a lone Dragon traveled the universe in search of other beings like himself. Overcome with loneliness, the Dragon decided to create one himself. Despite being all powerful, even the Dragon had to split its magic in half - into two symmetrical forms, one of light and the other of shadow. Each side thought one was the original and the other was the copy. Despite different personalities, they were ever only complete when they were together.

The events of the fairy tale play out similarly to the Brother Gods' story from then, with the notable exclusion of Salem's role in their departure of the world and the fact that they become continents of Remnant rather than abandoning it.

As a story or "Of Solitude and Self", this tale was revealed to be untrue, as the Gods came into being as two separate individuals.

The Gods are seen as translucent humanoid beings with featureless faces. Though it's implied that this may not actually be their true forms as they demonstrated the ability to shapeshift into various different physical forms and sizes including transforming into dragons.

The God of Light is yellow and possesses a tall and muscular build with deer antlers on his head. His dragon form is a large golden Eastern-style dragon with a heavenly glow.

The God of Darkness is purple and has a much leaner and slender build then his older brother and has ram horns on his head. His dragon form is a large purple Western-style dragon with eerie skeletal features.

As it was shown in the Blacksmith's memories, the originally the Brothers' forms were that of a purple lamb for the God of Darkness and a golden deer for the God of Light. As they grew in both power and size, their forms gradually became more and more draconic until they became full on dragons.

The Both are powerful beings who believe in a balance and maintaining order, though the two were originally at war with each other, creating and destroying whatever they wished. They eventually came to an agreement and created mankind together as to mark the start of their deal. However, they were not as wise or intelligent as mankind believed as Salem found they could be manipulated into turning against each other.

The Curious Cat, a former creation of the Brother Gods, comments on the two having god complexes, and later reveals that Remnant was not the first world they abandoned. The Ever After was the precursor world that they maintained, and they created the numerous acres and Afterans that inhabit it. Though once they grew out of their roles, they accepted the Great Tree's offer in leaving the realm to a greater beyond. These actions display that the Gods do not have much attachment to their previous works nor care how their absence could affect their creations as shown by the vengeful Curious Cat.

The God of Light is shown to be soft-spoken yet strict and temperamental. He believes in upholding the balance and will not break said balance under any condition, despite sympathizing with Salem. He is also shown to be passive, not wanting to fight his brother and wanting to resolve things peacefully.

The God of Darkness is a destructive and spiteful being who enjoys destruction and darkness, though longs to be worshiped and praised like his brother even after their agreement was made. He is shown to be a bit gullible as he was fooled by Salem's word and even broke his deal with his brother simply because he believed someone was worshiping him, but he quickly corrected his mistake afterwards.

The two both expressed disappointment when Salem manipulated mankind into rebelling against them and simply let Remnant fall into the hands of Humanity.

Despite their differences, the two brothers are quite loyal to one another, as the God of Light wished for no more conflict between them, and the God of Darkness arrived swiftly at his brother's side during Salem's rebellion.

Following the Gods' departure from Remnant, the Grimm were left to roam the planet until eventually they came under the control of Salem.

The Creatures of Grimm, or just Grimm, are monsters inhabiting various parts of Remnant. They were originally created by the God of Darkness and their current master is Salem.

The Grimm are described as "creatures of destruction" that lack a soul; hence, they are unable to use Aura. They are also drawn to feelings of negativity - such as envy, sadness, loneliness, hatred, etc. - often congregating on the source of these emotions.

The Grimm were created by the God of Darkness in order to destroy the creations of the God of Light. Eventually, the brothers ended their feud by creating something that could both create and destroy, namely Humanity. However, despite his involvement in creating Humanity, the Grimm were still left to roam Remnant and prey on them. According to the fairy tale The Two Brothers, the Grimm are motivated by resentment towards their younger kin; the God of Darkness was more amused by Humanity's determination and ingenuity and thus ignored his original creation. This explains the Grimm's disinterest in animals in contrast to their obsession with destroying Humans, Faunus, and anything the two species build.

Regardless of their motivations, the Grimm have been locked in an existential war with Humanity for as long as can be remembered, seeking to destroy them and all of their creations. When the God of Darkness wiped out the first wave of Humanity, he left the Grimm alive before departing Remnant. Following the reemergence of Humanity, the Grimm began to attack again. At first, it seemed as though they would succeed, as Humans did not have the strength to fight them. However, Humans discovered the power of Dust, and with it, the Grimm were driven back. During this time, Humans enjoyed a time of peace and soon formed their own Kingdoms, which grew to survive and prosper. However, this time would not last indefinitely.

While Grimm mindlessly wonder Remnant, they have a hidden master in Salem, an ancient and mysterious figure who is able to both control and create them. She currently leads the Grimm against Humanity to further her goals.

While Grimm are initially mindless and heedless of risk during their youths, leading them to simply attack any Humans on sight, some Grimm are so powerful that they have survived to live for hundreds of years. In that time, they have evolved and learned from their experiences fighting Humanity. This leads them to exhibit restraint and the patience to avoid taking unnecessary casualties in futile conflicts. Instead, they stay close to Humanity's borders, waiting for the opportunity to come where they can finally strike. Because of this, mankind is in ever-present danger, even in times of apparent peace. Bartholomew Oobleck recounts this in the episode "Search and Destroy" when he tells Ruby Rose how intelligent some species, such as the Goliath, have become over the years.

The Grimm also, for many years, disrupted land-based travel and communications between Kingdoms. After the Great War of Remnant, the invention and production of the CCT towers replace futile land-based communication systems with instantaneous wireless electronic messaging capabilities.

Additionally, the Grimm appear to be the predominant species in the world of Remnant as Humans and Faunus appear to be limited to four primary pocket settlements referred to as Kingdoms, which are guarded by Huntsmen, as well as several villages that exist with mixed success. Attempts by the Kingdoms to expand beyond their borders are often met with resistance, and even failure, such as the loss of an entire sector of the city of Vale to the Grimm.

In recent history, the White Fang attempted to cause a breach in the city of Vale and let the Grimm enter and destroy the Kingdom. However, the attempt ended in failure as multiple students, Huntsmen and the Atlas Military managed to seal the breach and kill the Grimm that managed to get through.

Later, Merlot Industries began experimenting on Grimm and created mutants using a special serum created by Dr. Merlot. Before he had a chance to use these Grimm to attack Beacon Academy however, Team RWBY/Team JNPR put a stop to his plans and destroyed his main facility.

During the 40th annual Vytal Festival tournament in Vale, the Grimm were attracted to the main city and Beacon Academy due to growing negativity caused by the plans of Cinder's Faction and an attack with the help of the White Fang. Beacon Academy was overrun in an event known as the Fall of Beacon and attempts to retake the Academy from the Grimm are still ongoing.

Later, the Grimm began to attack the city of Argus due to a negativity spike caused by Caroline Cordovin, but were warded off by the soldiers stationed in Argus.

In the past, the cold climate of Solitas managed to keep the Grimm at bay due to it being too cold for them to survive. However, they began to adapt to the cold due to Salem making them more resistant and converged on the Kingdom of Atlas.

Eventually, the Grimm managed to attack Mantle, but were repelled during the Battle of Mantle by the combined forces of the Atlas Military and the Huntsmen.

When Salem destroyed the Hard-Light Dust Shields protecting Atlas, she landed Monstra on the island and created an army of Grimm to attack the city. While the Atlas Military tried to hold off the Grimm during the Battle of Atlas, Monstra was eventually destroyed and took many of the Grimm it created with it, although there were still many left.

As For the World of Remnant

Beacon Academy is overrun by the Grimm

During the 40th annual Vytal Festival tournament in Vale, the Grimm were attracted to the main city and Beacon Academy due to growing negativity caused by the plans of Cinder's Faction and an attack with the help of the White Fang. Beacon Academy was overrun in an event known as the Fall of Beacon and attempts to retake the Academy from the Grimm are still ongoing.

The Grimm as they appear with Beowolves emerging from black pools in the Land of Darkness and However, most of Humanity is unaware of the origins of Grimm and as a Ancient Human cultures believed the Grimm to be animals possessed by evil spirits or even the tortured spirits of animals themselves and that Further study has disproved this theory over time due to the discovery of certain species of Grimm which have no animal counterparts, such as Creeps and Griffons. With the discovery of new types of Grimm every day, scientists are left with more questions than answers.

Grimm come in a variety of shapes and sizes; the latter appearing to mostly be a factor of age. Grimm are very biodiverse as different individuals may be born with less size, armor, spikes, etc and Some Grimm have the ability to evolve into stronger versions of themselves like the Centinels which will evolve into its alpha variant, the Cenitaur, if they aren't taken out quickly enough and Grimm are said to be the only creatures without souls, thus being deprived of the use of Aura, but they make up for this with strength, durability and savagery. Some Grimm even have special abilities such as possession or usage of lightning and fire and Grimm are stated to be attracted to generally negative feelings such as sadness, hostility, anger and fear, and even congregate in areas that, although Humanity has long since abandoned, still hold residual traces of these feelings.

This behavior will even lead to them to join in on an attack in progress if the Humans being attacked begin to panic. Grimm typically form packs or other types of large groupings with other members of their own species. While some lone Grimm may stray from the pack for hours or even months, they will inevitably rejoin their group to continue their instinctive drive to hunt the people of Remnant and destroy any creations associated with them.

The longer a Grimm lives, the larger it becomes, with species such as the Beowolves growing from just over the size of an average man to massive behemoths that dwarf Atlesian Knight-200s. Although Grimm have a more reckless and aggressive nature during their youth, older Grimm who have managed to survive their battles have the tendency to learn from their experiences. While sometimes requiring hundreds of years, the individual Grimm's accumulated experiences over the course of surviving their battles with man can cause them to begin exercising caution.

This self-preservation can even lead them to avoid unnecessary conflicts altogether, instead waiting for an opportunity to present itself. This demonstrates that for all their apparent intelligence, older Grimm simply use it as a means to become more effective in their singular purpose of killing. However, no matter how much they learn from battle, Grimm by themselves are not smart enough to coordinate a concentrated attack on a battlefield and require Salem's direction in order to actually pose a threat to massive forces like the Atlas Military.

Grimm display no enmity towards normal animals and they only clash during territorial disputes. Humans and Faunus are the only races they attack on sight. Grimm can also choose not to eat and it is commonly believed that they do not require sustenance. When a Grimm dies, their corporeal form evaporates, preventing detailed anatomical or biological studies. This also means that Huntsmen that kill for sport cannot stuff and mount Grimm bodies as trophies, making replicas instead.

Also of interesting note is that Grimm usually die off when in captivity if they cannot kill their captors or escape first, implying that they cannot be kept alive by normal means.

Initially, the cold climate in Solitas proved to be inhospitable for the Grimm for a very long time. Over time, however, the Creatures of Grimm grew to adapt to the cold of Solitas, now said to be the strongest species of Grimm.[4] In recent history, the Grimm adapted at a supernaturally fast rate, leading many to wonder the cause of this change.

Grimm are shown to have tar-like innards underneath their skin which can splash into things as if it were blood before dissipating into smoke.

But Before the Dawn, Shade Academy students discover that Grimm are not only attracted to negative emotions but also their very souls - their Aura. Powerful Auras are like Grimm magnets, causing them to drop their original targets in favor of the more powerful supply of Aura as though they were moths to a flame. It is unclear whether thiswhether this applies exclusively to unlocked Aura or to both locked and unlocked Aura, and it is specified as only Human and Faunus Aura, despite animals having it And Additionally, attempting to transfer Aura to the Grimm instead causes them to attempt to drain it from the user.

Similar to Semblances, Grimm have different "types." While most types are unknown, Possesion-type Grimm have the ability to posses inanimate objects to use for themselves or even other species of Grimm and people. The only other confirmed type is the Serpent-type which seems to only include snake-like Grimm. Most Grimm simply use brute force and some can use mental attacks on people.

There is also an as of yet unknown method for grafting Grimm anatomy to a Human body, as seen with Cinder Fall's left arm. However, there are two critical weaknesses to those who undergo such a process. First, Aura cannot protect the Grimm component due to retaining the Grimm's soulless nature. Second, the graft recipient is vulnerable to the power of the Silver-Eyed warriors due to the Grimm's weakness to their power. Such a graft recipient is also afforded several abilities. One ability is the power to forcibly absorb and potentially assimilate the powers of a Maiden. Another is the power of elasticity, which Cinder Fall was able to use by extending her left arm several meters while still appearing to maintain physical strength.

The graft recipient also appears to "bleed" from the Grimm component in the form of black smoke when it is severed or cut, the same way a true Grimm does. Furthermore, Cinder was capable of feeling intense pain when exposed to the flash of Ruby's silver eyes and when a glass fragment pierced her arm in her duel with Raven Branwen. Given Salem's ability to modify the bodies of Grimm through magic, it is likely that this is the primary means by which the graft is created and attached to the host. Salem is also able to control a grafted Grimm component as if it were any other Grimm. She was known to use this to punish Cinder by inflicting agonizing pain on the latter's Grimm arm.

The Schnee Dust Company managed to create an Arma Gigas by putting a mutated form of a Geist in a copy of Nicholas Schnee's armor.

There exists a group of Grimm that have been genetically modified to be superior to even Alpha Grimm in every way. They posess powers like exploding and creating waves of crystal-like bone spikes. Unlike all other Grimm, their eyes, markings and inside of their bodies were green instead of red. Their spikes took on an appearance similar to glowing green crystals. So far the only species that have been seen in mutated form are Creeps, Beowolves and a single Death Stalker.

Grimm spawn from a viscous, tar-like substance. Pools of this substance appear in numbers in the Land of Darkness. Grimm of sufficient size like the Wyvern and Monstra were able to produce this substance and create new Grimm. The Wyvern could create drops of tar that created Creeps, Beowolves and Ursai, while Monstra was large enough to create waves of tar from its mouth that could spawn endless amounts of Grimm.

Salem created a river of Grimm Liquid under Solitas using Monstra, which she later utilized to breach through the Hard-Light shield of Atlas.

Salem

As current master of the Grimm. She is the last living member of the original Humanity and was cursed with immortality by the Gods but She tried ending her life by jumping into the Grimm Pool in the Land of Darkness, but instead was physically altered and gained the power to control the Grimm.

Yeah things went bad to worse.

She can affect the physiology of Grimm and mutate them and is even capable of grafting Grimm body parts to a Human's body. She causes Beringels to sprout wings in "Our Way" and gives Cinder Fall a Shadow Hand to replace her missing arm. In addition, she has the ability to summon multiple Shadow Hands on command as seen in "So That's How It Is". Her preferred method is using them to restrain her opponents.

She is also capable of creating Grimm hybrids, as was the case with The Hound, who was shown to have a Faunus as its core, most notably with a Silver Eye.

The Hound was a Grimm hybrid created by Salem using an unnamed Silver-Eyed Faunus. It was smarter than any other known Grimm and capable of changing its form to suit its needs and Known forms include a humanoid form, it's a canine form and a winged form and It was also capable of creating a third hand out of its back So It was partially resistant to Silver Eyes, possibly because of its hybrid nature, but was damaged as a result of the attack on Atlas and mental same time when we were saving people and evacuating them to save locations, The Hound was the first Grimm shown to be capable of speaking the Human language due to how it was created. It was later killed and left behind the corpse of the Faunus as it died.

THEN

Cinder f****** fall the b**** She is the main cause of many problems in my life and in my friends she is the one who technically burned my kingdom down. Cinder Fall is an member of Salem's Inner Circle. She has used a Beetle Grimm to steal the power of the Fall Maiden, but after getting severely damaged by Ruby Rose's usage of Silver Eyes, she had her entire left arm replaced with a Shadow Hand. Her arm is capable of slashing, stretching, channeling magic and directly absorbing Maiden powers. Because of its Grimm nature it is incapable of channeling Aura, making it vulnerable to direct damage.

For as long as Humanity can recall walking the surface of Remnant, so do they remember this wicked force.

A young hero, an exalted heiress, a troubled rogue, and a party girl- These are the four members of RWBY, a team brought together and trained for the sole purpose of combating the rampant evils that plague the fantastic world of Remnant. If these four girls want to graduate Beacon Academy they'll have to learn to work together both on the battlefield and in the classroom.

Team JNPR, pronounced "Juniper", also known as Team JNR (pronounced "Junior"), is a Huntsman team of former students from Beacon Academy The friends of team Rwby and the ones who stood with them in the end and my team, In "Players and Pieces", the game of called by ozpin the teams had its first fight as a team, together with Team RWBY, against a Death Stalker and Later in the same game, the team was officially formed as Team JNPR. During initiation, the team retrieved the White Rook pieces.

Jaune Arc was made the leader of team Jupiter.

After the death of their teammate, Pyrrha Nikos in "End of the Beginning", the three remaining members briefly formed Team RNJR with Ruby Rose after her own team was fractured. After Ruby's old team was reformed, Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren collectively went as Team JNR.

In Atlas Jaune, Nora and Ren spent time training alongside Oscar Pine seemingly making him the fourth member of the team. This is even collaborated by merchandise that call them Team ORNJ (Orange).

The team is currently split after Cinder Fall's attack in the Evacuation Central Location; while Nora and Ren managed to escape to Vacuo to assist the Atlesian and Mantle refugees, Jaune fell into the void below alongside Team RWBY and Neopolitan.

That's how my story began That's how I fell let me tell you another What happened before that before I fell into the abyss itself

It started, as these things often did, with a mistake.

Jaune Arc was nervous. His heart was pounding from the adrenaline in his body. Jaune glided with his atlas-modified shield until landing on one of the platforms that were created by the relic of creation.

Jaune deactivated the light barrier on his shield and walked a few steps toward Nora who was waiting for him. "You bring May, Joanna...any hunter that comes through the gate" Jaune instructed Nora as he tried to watch the battle that was taking place in the dimension of creation. Jaune raised his hand so he could shake it with Nora.

Nora said nothing but nodded before she smiled and shook Jaune's hand. So that later they both went their separate ways. Nora goes through the portal and Jaune helps Team RWBY and Penny against Cinder and Neo.

Jaune began to run towards the sound of the battle, he had to take some turns to better observe the situation in which the girls were. Once he was close enough he could see him.

Weiss was on the platform floor probably injured and Penny was in front of her protecting her with her green sword projections from Cinder, who was floating above them about to shoot fire magic at them.

He didn't think twice before jumping off the platform, activating his shield's light barrier to glide in that bitch's direction. He then deactivates the light barrier and puts the shield in front of her before using all of his strength to punch Cinder square in the face, before he activates the gravity dust to send her flying.

Unfortunately for Jaune. Cinder regains her balance in the air, landing on all fours as she continues to slide down the platform, coming to a stop just at the edge.

Jaune landed on the platform his friends were standing on and drew his sword as he got into a fighting stance. Weiss doing the same as him with her rapier. Penny activated maiden powers while holding her swords menacingly behind her.

Cinder narrowed her eyes at them. Then she suddenly began to scream in pain as her Grimm's hand began to convulse and move erratically.

Jaune, Penny, and Weiss tensed, looking at each other uncertainly.

Cinder's Grimm hand stopped. She squeezed Grimm's hand with her human hand checking it before she looked at the people in front of her.

Cinder smiled menacingly. "She's back," She said before she hit the ground and a burst of fire swirling around her hit them.

Jaune gritted his teeth as he slid down the platform, feeling his skin warm from the brief contact he had with Cinder's fiery attack. He felt a chill at the implications of her words. If she was telling the truth then they didn't have much time left before Salem destroyed them.

He had to end this, and it would have to be fast as Jaune lunged at Cinder with his aura pumping through his legs. The aura amplification on his body didn't take long to take effect. Making him much stronger.

Jaune launched a brutal upward attack aiming to split Cinder in half, but despite his speed, she easily stopped it by creating two swords of fire dust. He tried to strike with her shield, but she easily stepped out of the way and then she slashed at him with one of her swords, but Jaune blocked it with her shield by moving a few inches.

Attack, Block, Attack, Block, Kick, Attack. Jaune and Cinder tried to dominate each other each trying to kill the other. But as much as Jaune tried to hurt Cinder, she never gave in to his attacks.

Cinder fed up with the physical confrontation launches a powerful fireball, which Jaune had to block with his shield. Penny seeing Jaune being dragged into the fire begins to fly as her swords shoot toward Cinder.

Cinder stopped firing her fire magic and immediately began to maneuver through the air while dodging and smashing the swords thrown by Penny.

Jaune sighed in relief when the fire magic was no longer overwhelming him. He then looked at Weiss and raised a questioning eyebrow at her. "Not glyphs?"

Weiss had the decency to cringe. "I ran out of aura. I can't help too much, but if there's an opportunity to attack I'll use it" she said, but he could easily tell that she was scared.

Jaune could understand her. He was scared too, even if he wasn't going to admit it. Jaune even with his augmented aura with the amplification semblance of him couldn't close the gap in strength that Cinder has over him. About them.

Seeing Penny being overwhelmed by Cinder, Jaune ran to attack her, but as they were fighting in the air, he had to improvise and throw his shield onto the ground before he jumped on the shield and activated the gravity powder.

Jaune was propelled by the force of the shield and smashed his sword into Cinder's abdomen momentarily stunning her, once Jaune struck her, he activated the magnetism on his forearm causing his shield to immediately snap back at him. He then used his shield as a glider to land back on the platform.

"Weiss where are the other girls? We don't have much time" Jaune commented as he approached her hoping she understood the message he was trying to convey.

Weiss's eyes misted with tears before she gave him a shaky smile. "They fell"

Jaune felt the air escape his lungs at the revelation. But if the girls fell that meant they were...

No, no, no, no. No!

They couldn't have died.

First Pyrrha and now Yang, Blake, and... Ruby.

Fury and hate were upon him. The person causing the death of the girls was-

"Jaune!" Penny screamed in fear trying to warn him.

Any spiteful thoughts Jaune was having were interrupted as his hunter instincts kicked in. But it was too late for him. A ball of fire slammed into his abdomen, knocking out all the air and stunning him momentarily.

Jaune flipped so he could land on his feet, but when he tried to recover he was hit by an avalanche of blows that was fended off by his aura. When Jaune came to his senses he had to block another fireball with his shield causing it to slide onto the platform.

Jaune winced at the pain caused by Cinder. He looked over his head only to see a deep black abyss waiting for him. He was on the edge of the platform one more hit and he is sure he will fall off the platform.

Jaune was about to attack to close the gap with Cinder who was glaring at him, but he was interrupted.

"Leave my friend alone" Penny went to pounce on Cinder.

Jaune's keen senses activated, he looked at Cinder who gave him an evil smile. Jaune quickly understood what she intended.

"Wait! It's a..." Jaune tried to warn her, but it was too late.

Penny cried out in pain as the claws of Cinder's Grimm hand pierced her chest.

Jaune froze with the blood in his body freezing. Ironically, the first to react to defend Penny was Weiss who pounced on Cinder in a desperate attempt to cut off Grimm's arm.

Cinder saw the attack from a mile away and easily dodged it, before taunting the stupid girl who was trying to fight her without an aura.

Jaune looked at Weiss with doubt and concern before deciding to trust her and approach the injured girl to heal her.

Penny!" Jaune said with fear seeping through, kneeling over her and activating his aura amplification. "Hold on. My Semblance..." The white-gold glow began to come out of his arm to head toward Penny's body.

"No." Penny looked at Jaune and shook her head in resignation. "There's no time to heal me," she said as they both watched Cinder playing and teasing Weiss. "She can't get the staff and the power...," Penny placed a hand over Jaune's. "...but there is something you can do." Then she pointed at her sword and then at her heart.

"You are listening to yourself" Jaune exclaimed in disbelief, his eyes began to water. "There must be another way..." Jaune clenched his fist in an attempt to stop his fear and despair but to no avail. "...There must be."

Penny shook her head. "Please allow me to make at least this choice. Trust me my dear friend" She took the pommel of Jaune's sword, then gave him a reassuring smile.

Jaune looked at Cinder and Weiss' "fight" before looking back at Penny. 'Oh, gods... He was going to do it, wasn't he? He was capable of doing what he was about to do.

He didn't want to do it, but there was no time left. Cinder was going to kill Weiss and then she was going to kill Penny, if he didn't do anything they were lost. Without even thinking about his actions. Jaune drew his sword before he looked at the gleam of his sword. He could see his blue eyes filled with fear and hesitation.

Jaune took a deep breath and didn't think twice before burying his sword in Penny's chest right where her heart was, killing her instantly. Jaune screamed in rage, pain, anguish, and despair as the implication of his actions hit him hard.

The urge to emotions hit Jaune hard as he looked at the corpse of his friend whom he had to be forced to kill. He shuddered as tears fell down his face.

Cinder's furious yell of rage brought him back to the present. Jaune instinctively activated shield light barrier and blocked the Cinder's attack. Cinder grabbed onto the shield as she glared at him with unbridled rage.

Jaune screamed in rage as he activated the gravity dust on his shield causing Cinder to be thrown into the air. Cinder put her hands on the platform before launching into a spin causing her to land on her feet, but she had to reach down and put her hands on the platform to stop her momentum.

Cinder created a sword of fire dust, she ran towards him and then launched herself into the air so she could pounce on Jaune with all her might. Jaune was not intimidated by the bitch. He infused his sword with an aura and amplified it with his Semblance.

Jaune swung his sword filled with his friend's blood with all hismight toward Cinder's sword. Both swords clashed forcefully.

Jaune's sword snapped in two.

Jaune looked on in shock as his weapon had broken. He was stupefied he had put all the strength in him and yet his weapon had broken.

Cinder did not miss the opportunity to kick him hard, causing Jaune to fall to the ground and drop his shield as he comes out of shock for the second time. Jaune looked up in fear as Cinder was about to kill him, but before she attacked him.

Then all of a sudden A bolt of ice hit Cinder's back as it sending her flying off the platform below her.

Winter Schnee his second partner and friend had obtained the power of the winter maiden, and now she was glaring at Cinder with murderous fury for attacking her family.

Jaune watched in fascination at the great battle of two magical maidens. He can barely keep up the fight at this rate. They were a blur of lights in the air. As Jaune shook his head side to side but before looking at Weiss who was kneeling on the ground in shock from all of this.

He has No time to think about his actions at the moment. Jaune just picks up his shield and runs towards her, as he helps her to her feet and With his willpower alone Jaune begins to drag her toward the end portal. Jaune tries to go faster to the portal, but Weiss, in a daze, she was making things difficult for him.

As Jaune listens and saw behind him as the rush of flames heading their way. On a quick instinct and he thought, he turns around sudden and throws the dust shield he was carrying onto him. The impact knocked both of them down, but they remained upright until a hiss is heard from the superheated material below them. Jaune recognized the attack and from Weiss's face, he knew that she recognized it as well. It did little to prepare them both.

The ground explodes below him and Jaune is thrown to the side coming to a stop on the platform, his aura exploding and breaking into several whitish-gold shards. He has time to see Weiss fall into the void with a scream.Jaune, dazed by pain, does not notice what is happening around him for a few seconds. Until his senses come back with Winter reaches the platform, sobbing.

A dazed Jaune realizes the implications and pain explodes in his chest with force. He blinks rapidly to wipe away all the tears. Weiss didn't make it. Winter didn't catch Weiss, and Weiss didn't get on the platform.

He realizes that another person had died because of him. If he hadn't been so careless. If only he had protected Weiss while she retreated. Then Weiss wouldn't be dead.

Jaune doesn't think he's hated anyone in his life as much as he hates Cinder Fall for taking everything way from him.

As Jaune was now standing, looks at Cinder at the same time as Winter. Both looked at her with a burning hatred as they both made a promise that they will end her And as Winter was about to lash out at Cinder for everything she as done.

Then all of a sudden A high pitch scream shakes the entire dimension in which they find themselves, a woman's voice howls with untold fury as portals flicker and their foundations shake. Jaune realized who was the person who was screaming and craving rampant blood.

He ignored the smug look that fire bitch was giving them at the moment.

A wide-eyed Jaune with pale skin looks directly at Winter and stand what is her wife going to do as stopped and convinced her to stop. "We need to go." He swallows nervously at the moment He knows that when is she mad she is not someone you should bother taking a step in do challenge or argue he learn that first hand "Now," He emphasized so there would be no arguing.

Winter is looking at Cinder with all the hate that is currently buried under her tears and heart, she wanted to kill Cinder more than anything in the world, but she knows that jaune is right At the moment as They can't be here when Salem gets here.

"You are going to pay." Winter spits out angrily. "For everything you've done!"Winter flies off towards the end portal as Cinder smirks and retreats, and he runs after Winter, heading for the portal. Jaune tried to catch up with pissed off Winter, but with his broken aura and he is very tired using his semblance for a while he couldn't go at the speed of a huntsman, so he would have to run as fast as his legs would carry him at this moment.

But Jaune doesn't realize something was and is wrong until it's was to late as Winter looks back her at hunband and, her eyes widening in horror and surprise that the bridge was starting to disappearing and she's already through the portal but her husband is not and as she cried out his name " JAUNE!!!!" As she disappeared into the world as he saw and He decided to looks behind his shoulder for a moment out of his morbid curiosity and what he saw was concerning and very much alarming him.

The entire dimension they were in was and the bridge was starting to disappearing.

He thinks of the Staff in Cinder's hands. She must have planned to destroy this place so she can make sure they don't get out of this dimension. A way that she could easily kill her enemies.

The hiss that something is dissolving was being heard much louder and closer. Jaune runs much faster, due to the desperation and determination that is entering him at the moment.

The whistle is almost at his feet, he pushes, jumps with all his might-

And as the portal to Vacuo dissolves into golden sparks of light just before he touches it, making him scream as he fails and begins to plunge into the void.

Jaune doesn't know what to think about his last moments alive. Of all the things he could have thought. It wasn't about him but about his team he has with him. As Ren and Nora, two teammates who are now going to be alone forever, and he can only hope that Emerald will take care of his remaining teammates along with Oscar. Now that he thought about it, why didn't Nora come back through the portal with the other Hunters? Did something happen on the other side of the portal ? And Penny Gods... Penny, she has giving her life for all of this and what has he done by now ?

He will never be able to forget the feeling of Crocea Mors sliding into her chest, as the blood drained from her body and the life drained from her eyes. He will never be able to forget him. And now his sword is broken, in pieces, a part of him is glad because that means, that he at least will not be stained with Penny's blood, reminding him of the great sin that he had committed and With his ancestral sword broken, he could pretend that he had not sullied his family's honor, the remains of winter with it. He hadn't betrayed everything he loved like this, with the blood of his true friend.

Gods, why had he been so useless, if only he had done things differently, things would never have turned out so bad, if only he was stronger, Pyrrha, Ruby, Yang, Blake, and Weiss hadn't have been left him behind and now team Rwby is killed. If only he was stronger, he would never have been forced to kill Penny.

Despair, regret, and helplessness overwhelm him as he falls into the void.

He had failed.

He had failed them all.

He had failed his wife

He had failed his family

He had failed his remaining teammates

He had failed his people

Jaune will die dissatisfied and with regretful with his fail's.

It isn't long before the darkness overwhelms his entire view Jaune's sight returns as memories of recent events overwhelm him. He feels that he continues to fall, but the darkness that had consumed him was no longer in sight. He could see again, though all he saw was a strange black mist.

Jaune keeps falling for a while, and as unfortunate as it is, he is hopeful.

Hopes to survive, and hopes that the girls on the RWBY team are alive. Even with the deep disgust that weighed on his shoulder for having murdered Penny, he allowed himself to hope and not give in to despair.

As if by fate, he was able to dazzle his best friend Ruby's weapon, her prized scythe. He doesn't think twice before diving for his friend's gun.

As Jaune is about to grab Ruby's scythe, darkness overwhelms his vision of Jaune again. When Jaune's sight returns, the first thing he notices is the sky, then he feels the sudden wind that hit his body. It takes Jaune a few seconds to realize that he was falling and he was in the air heading rapidly toward the ocean.

Jaune tries to use his shield to start gliding, quickly realizing that the shield was not with him but was falling below him.

In a panic he began to dive toward his shield, forgetting about his friend's scythe that was falling a few meters below his shield.

Jaune stretches out his arm to try to grab his shield when there are only 30 meters left to hit the sea.

He was about to grab his shield when there were 20 meters left.

With 10 meters left, Jaune desperately grabbed his shield before he activated his shield's light barriers made of dust, his arms tensed and stretch up causing him to slow down a bit.

Jaune closes his eyes as he crashes with some force into the ocean.

He tried to fight the ocean current, but it was too strong. It wasn't long before his head smashed into something, he had the brief thought that his aura wouldn't protect him, as he was still charging before the darkness overwhelmed him for the third time.

When Jaune Arc falls into the void, he thinks of his failure As a leader as a friend as a lover He was just a failure, his JNPR team, or what's left of them, and when the thought was about to die, He could not finish what he started He could not kill cinder fall and avenge Pyrrha Nikos dead He wasn't strong enough to save Penny He couldn't save anyone in the end He was just a failure till the end at least if he's going to die he could see them an apologize then for what a nuisance he has been, he ends up in a strange place where dust doesn't exist and the gods are roaming the earth. But Wait, is that a tree with a clock for fruit?

Jaune doesn't know what the hell he is, but he hopes he can return to his world finish what he began, so he can stop Salem and her minions and All he has to do is wait for the RWBY team to arrive in the strange world or he thought at the moment but in reality whatever he is going he is going to be all alone and the adventures he's going to have going to be the key for his right back home and to save his new ones this is his
