Where It All Began

September 9 2082, in the European Kingdom. A teacher was giving a history lesson about the appearance of beasts, how the world reacted, and how things are starting to look good for humanity.

"And that is the history of beasts. Any questions?" A teacher asked after finishing to explain everything. Except he didn't mention a new enemy or the man who died to the rat beast.

"Can a mage use Qi?" the teacher's pet asked.

"No, they cannot."

"Can I go to the bathroom?"

"I don't know, CAN YOU?" The teacher asked with a mocking expression.

"May I go to the bathroom?" the student corrected himself.

"No, there is 5 minutes left, you can hold it in."

"Teacher, can we see the battle of the dragon against 50150 of earth's strongest soldiers?" the main character asked.

"It is possible to see it, but it costs a lot of money to see the footage. But why do you want to see more than 50000 people dying to a dragon, Victor?" the teacher asked with a weirded out expression on his face.

"To see who dealt the final blow." Victor answered. The teacher looked at him as if he was crazy. The bell rang, it was time for students to go home. Victor arrived home, he greeted his mother and father, and went to his room.

Victor Zolomon is 12 years old, and is an only child. Victor has long golden hair that reaches his shoulders, bright blue eyes and caucasian skin. He lives in a small town that is close to the walls. His mother is a mage and his father is an adventurer.

Adventurers are people who go out of the walls to go out and kill beasts. They have to give 10% tax of their earnings after hunting beasts. Beast bodies and crystals are very expensive, so an adventurer can either make better equipment if he finds stronger beasts or sell everything if he can't get better equipment. And a mage can easily be rich no matter what. Because of all this, Victor is far from being poor.

When Victor was 6, his mom took him to the capital of the kingdom to check if he was a mage or not. Children of mages have an 80% chance of also becoming mages, so Victor was really excited to become a mage. Sadly he wasn't so lucky, he failed the test and couldn't become a mage.

Victor was sad and stayed in his room for 3 days. But then his father went in and talked to him.

"Victor, I'm sorry you won't be able to become a mage. You always wanted to but now you can't. But you don't have to be a mage to be strong."

"What do you mean, dad?"

"You can become a knight or an adventurer like me. And I can teach you how to fight, we just need to look for a weapon that suits you and teach you how to master Qi."

"Really?" Victor asked with an excited expression on his face. He always wanted to be strong and he thought it was impossible when he found out he couldn't be a mage, he was devastated. But now he had a new opportunity to achieve his goals.

"Yes, I promise."

First, his father trained Victor in hand to hand combat for 3 years. Victor learned Satsugai, his father told him it was a secret martial art invented by the Zolomon family, so Victor couldn't tell anyone about it. When Victor turned 9 years old, he already mastered it, and his father was impressed because it took him 15 years to master. Victor was a fast learner, and a hard worker who was always determined to succeed.

After Victor learned Satsugai, His father went and bought several weapons. None of them were beast weapons but Victor could still kill someone with it. After a year, Victor finally found the weapon that suited him best. It was the katana, both him and his father used the katana and just like Satsugai, Victor learned it fast. He didn't learn Qi, because it is forbidden to learn Qi under the age of 18. So for now they focused on skill and precision.

Today, he was extremely excited. Normally he would mostly spar with his father, he never won a single battle. His father was far too fast for Victor, his father didn't even use any Qi. It was as if he was some kind of superhuman because sometimes Victor couldn't even see him move.

But today he wasn't going to be sparring with his father, instead he was going to go hunt beasts with his parents. Victor quickly packed all his things and was ready to leave.

"Let's go slaughter these beasts!" Victor shouted with an excited tone.

"Before we leave, I have a gift for you." His father told him before Victor went running out the door. His father took out a sheathed katana.

"This is a beast weapon made from the fangs of a dragon, it's the best katana there is and only two of them exist. One of them was for a friend of mine but he died, and on his will he wanted me to have it. I have decided to give you mine and I will continue to use my friend's katana."

Victor was speechless. He could feel the power that was coming from the katana when he held it in his hand.

"It's amazing! Thank you, father!"

"No problem, just don't kill anything that isn't a beast."

And with that the three of them went to hunt some beast.

After getting out of the giant walls, they went deep into the outside and were travelling in a huge truck. They were looking for any weak beast that Victor could fight. Eventually they found a beast. It was a bear, but it was twice the size of a grizzly bear and had red thick fur. It also had a giant tail with spikes all over it. It looked terrifying with how big it was.

"Perfect! Victor go kill the bear with the new katana I gave you. If you're about to get seriously injured, I'll step in and save you while your mother kills it."

"Alright, father!"

Victor took his katana out and charged in towards the beast. His speed was far faster than the average 12 year old. The beast roared in response, but Victor didn't even flinch and when he was close enough, he cut the bear's leg off and black blood was coming out like a faucet. He was surprised that it was cut off so easily, especially with all the stories he heard about how durable beasts are.

But then he realised that it was because of his weapon.

'I love this thing!' Victor thought to himself.

But the bear wasn't dead, it roared out in pain and hit Victor with its paw. Victor blocked it with his blade, but it knocked him into a tree. It hurt like hell getting thrown into a tree. But the bear wasn't done yet, it went on three legs and charged towards Victor and opened its jaw to bite his head off.

At the last second Victor's father was standing in front of him with black blood on his blade and the beast's head in his left hand.

'How is he so fast?' was Victor's first thought when he saw his father in front of him, when he was 15 meters away from him a second ago.

"Victor, next time don't hesitate when fighting a beast, if i wasn't here you would have died."

"Sorry, I was just surprised by how powerful the katana is."

"Aiko, can you heal him?"

"I'm already on it." Aiko is Victor's mother, and she is a mage who can use flame magic. She is from Japan, and has long black beautiful hair. She is tall, and a beautiful woman. One of her spells is a healing one. While she was healing Victor, His father went and extracted all the crystal and put the beast's dead body in the truck's storage unit.

After 5 minutes, Victor and his parents were back to hunting and after a while they found another beast. This one was a wolf, it was black in color and was the same size as a Siberian tiger. It had blue eyes and a white tail.

"Henry, do you think Victor can beat that beast?"

"No, it's too risky, just kill it yourself." Henry is Victor's father. He has golden hair, blue eyes, caucasian skin, and was wearing a full set of red and black armour.

Aiko got out of the truck and walked forward. The beast noticed her and charged towards her at an incredible speed. When Victor saw it's speed, he now understood why his father said it was too risky. Aiko just raised her hand, and opened her palm. A giant fireball bigger than the bear came out of her palm and the wolf instantly died.

Aiko took the beast's crystal, she went back to the truck and they went looking for more beast. After 15 minutes of travelling, they found a small lake that had 50 beasts. Every single beast looked exactly the same. They look like hippos but are as big as a rhino and have blue fur on their bodies.

"Victor, get ready we're going to kill all those beasts. Don't worry, beasts who move in packs are always weak and use their numbers to survive, but don't let your guard down, they can still kill you." Henry told his son.

"Alright, let's go!" All three of them got out of the car and killed every single beast in that area. Victor was completely exhausted, he ended up killing 3 of those beasts because his mother and father were killing them too fast for him to keep up. His father killed 23 of them and his mother killed 24 of them.

"Haha, I won. You're going to wash the dishes for a month." Aiko celebrated because the reason they were killing them so quickly was because they made a bet.

"I can't believe I lost to 1 beast." They were killing beasts and making bets about it at the same time. It was hard to believe that this was the same race that had 95% of its population killed by these beasts.

It took longer to get the crystals and their bodies in the truck than to kill them. After 15 minutes, they finally finished getting all the crystals and bodies. The truck was completely full so they were going home.

"Victor, we're leaving. Hurry up!" His mother shouted.

"Hold on, I'm coming!" Victor replied.

But while he was walking back, he noticed a deep dark cave and he could sense something… strange.

"Mother, can we explore this cave?" Victor asked, still looking at the cave.

"Why do you want to explore that creepy cave?" Aiko asked

"You mean, you can't feel it. That strange feeling, deep inside that cave."

"Ok, let's check it out. We have nothing to lose and we can handle any beast that hides in the dark, and you can light the cave with your fire magic." Henry explained.

"Fine, let's hurry up. I really want to wash off the smell of beast blood."

The more they walked the stronger the aura got. Aiko and Henry couldn't feel it for some unknown reason. After 5 minutes of walking, they eventually found a giant floating crystal at least 2 meters tall and 1.5 meters wide, it was black in color and had a strange black aura surrounding it. There was something drawing Victor towards the giant crystal, telling him to get closer and grab the crystal. Victor listened and reached out to the crystal with his hand, and when he touched it.

Strange shadows came out of the crystal and went straight to Victor. The crystal had lost it's black color and fell to the cave floor, shattering into several pieces, and Victor had changed too.

He used to have golden hair and bright blue eyes, but now he had pitch black hair, and his eyes are so black that you can't even see his pupils. His once caucasian skin, now resembled more of a light-skinned african. He got a little taller, before he was 152 cm tall, but now he is 160 cm tall. His body also got more muscular, and then he started to speak.

"At last! After 100000 years, I have finally been released from my banishment!"
