Rafael scooped up a handful of water with his right hand and poured it over his head to hopefully cleanse his thoughts. He was the one to ask Annalise to stay with him and now he sat in cold water while she had to be in deep sleep by now.

He was falling deeper and deeper into a rabbit hole each time he was near her.

Rafael placed his hands along the edge of the tub and rested his head back. This might have been the perfect time for a cigar or something to drink, but he didn't want to use either one. He could only sit alone in his bathroom waiting for the high he was on to pass.

He had to be angry at himself once more for agreeing that when morning came he would forget about what happened with Annalise. It was impossible to not think about it again, but he could at least not mention it to her.
