162 Harin's Gifts

Harin had occupied their attention from the moment Samar and Stivi had entered her room. Her presence had given them no chance to let their gazes wander to the incredible items displayed on the shelves.

Now that she had said her piece and completed the task given by her teacher, Harin gladly accompanied Stivi and Samar to proudly showcase the items in her collection.

More than half of her collection consisted of wooden figurines, carved by Harin herself. Not only were there birds and animals but also the figurines of Elves of different professions and all of these smoothly polished figurines emitted a rich fragrance of vitae and glowed with Runic Power.

Suddenly, Stivi came to a halt near one of the wooden figurines of a female elf swinging a sword. She picked the palm sized figurine up and realized it was her teacher, Battle Saint Anisa!

The carving was so detailed and intricate that it had successfully captured the heroic essence of Anisa. Her eyes sparked with life, and Stivi felt as if the figurine could come alive at the next moment.

Stivi checked the stats and realized it was not just her misconception but the truth!

Figurine of Runeblade Anisa

Grade: Soul-Silver

Effect 1: Sword Mastery

~ Owner's Rune Stroke Swordsmanship improves 100% faster when the figurine is in their bag. Other Sword Masteries improve 50% faster.

Effect 2: Runeblade Puppet

~ Can transform into a Tier 3 Runeblade Puppet for 1 hour.

—--

The figurine could indeed transform into a life size puppet of her teacher for an hour everyday!

However, the price she needed to pay to transform was also overwhelming. She needed 10 units of Vitae to enliven the puppet at Tier 2, 100 units for Tier 3 and a 1000 for Tier 4!

It was an exorbitant price to pay as the Longevity Leaf, the most accessible source of Vitae, only contained 3 to 5 units of Vitae. And even one of Longevity Leaves was incredibly hard to find for Tier 2 players.

Nonetheless, it was a great opportunity for Stivi as she could continuously improve her skills by watching the Runeblade Puppet fight!

"Lady Harin, Can I keep this figurine?"

Harin approached Stivi, seeing her pick up one of the figurines which was her pride and joy.

"Back then, during the Battle of Bellore, I was there in the ramparts. I witnessed the fight between Battle Saint Anisa and Archean Masdon with my own eyes. She passed away in that battle but her heroic swordsmanship forever stayed alive in my memory."

"After the fight, I carved her sculpture to forever immortalize the Battle Saint in my memory. It was crude and unrefined but it impressed Sage Tukzer who had arrived later with reinforcements and he took me as his disciple."

Harin had a nostalgic smile as he narrated the events of the past. She pointed to the figurine in Stivi's hands and said, "This is that same sculpture I carved. As my skills improved, I added details, refined it and enchanted it with Runic Power to turn it into what it is now."

Harin looked at RedQueen with a smile and said, "This figurine is my tribute to your teacher. As her disciple, please accept it and use it well."

Stivi had found the item she desired but Samar was still deciding on the item he would like. He looked through the numerous varieties of the Quivers and figurines, unable to decide what to choose.

He ultimately decided on Quiver but there were numerous varieties he could choose from. Wooden Quivers, Straw Basket Quivers, Quivers tied on back, Quivers tied around waist…

Samar looked through his options and finally reached a wall where only three Quivers hung. Two of them gave off a golden glow, a characteristic of Heart-Gold Equipment while the grayish silver straw Quiver emitted a subdued silver glow of Soul-Silver equipment.

The two brown red Quivers were identical Wooden Quivers with a massive arrow holding capacity while the grayish silver straw Quiver was slender and did not seem like it could hold the same amount of arrows.

Samar checked the information of both the types of Quivers.

Woodred Quiver

Grade: Heart Gold

Equip Requirements: STR 60, AGI 70

Capacity: 48 Arrows

~ Crit Rate +7.5%

~ Auto-reload/60 sec

Skills-

1. Arrow Duplication (Active)

~ Every arrow drawn from the Quiver during the active duration of 60 seconds will duplicate.

2. Weight Reduction (Passive)

~ The weight of the Quiver is reduced by 60%

—--

This was the first Heart- Gold equipment he had laid his eyes on and he was definitely impressed. Especially with the skill Arrow Duplication. It could turn every shot into Dual Shot without consuming extra arrows, a godly skill for sure!

Weight Nullification did not seem that impressive in comparison but it prevented the bulky quiver from becoming a drag on the Player's movement speed.

This Woodred Quiver was so great that he was tempted to take it! However, his attention was constantly being drawn by the grayish silver Quiver hanging by their side.

"There are other Soul-Silver Quivers in the room as well but only this Quiver is hung in the same line as the Heart-Gold Quivers. It had to be something special, right?" Samar thought and checked its information.

Void Quiver (Replica)

Grade: Soul-Silver

Equip Requirements: STR 60, AGI 60, INT 60

Capacity: 36 Arrows

~ Auto Reload/5 seconds

Skill-

Void Isolation (Passive)

~ The Arrows are isolated in void, nullifying their weight. The energies infused in the arrows are also preserved, slowing their dissipation rate by 80%.

—--

Samar's eyes widened upon seeing the description of the Void Quiver. It did not have the extra stats of the Heart-Gold Quivers and also had only one skill compared to the two possessed by Woodred Quivers;

Yet, Samar was determined to get it!

Void Isolation was as good as a skill combined in two. It not only had the characteristics of Weight Reduction but it also solved his greatest peeve point about his method of Rune Activation, the dissipating Runic Power!

Samar did not have a method to compress a wordy hymn into just one or two words, not yet. Therefore, he was also unwilling to let go of his method of activating the Rune Arrows, as it was more powerful and quick at the moment.

His only problem, the quickly dissipating Runic Power could be solved if he used this Quiver. His enhanced Arrows could last at least 10 minutes longer, increasing the feasibility of his method.

The moment he realized this, Samar had made his choice. He decided to give up on a great skill like Arrow Duplication to get his hands on the Void Quiver and called Harin.

Harin's lips twitched as she saw the item Samar had picked.

"Like senior, like junior," She muttered under her breath as she took down the Void Quiver hanging on the wall.

Her voice was louder than she intended and Samar heard it. He raised his eyebrow at her and asked, "Pardon?"

"Do you know your senior brother, Sage Vikran once hounded my teacher to make him a replica of the Legendary Void Quiver and then never collected it?" Harin asked with a smile.

Samar looked at the Void Quiver in her hands and connected the dots asking, "Is this the same quiver?"

Harin nodded and said, "Indeed. My Teacher spent months learning the Vyom Rune and deducing its First Hymn. When Sage Tukzer finally succeeded in creating the replica, your Senior brother no longer needed it and repudiated it!"

She had no qualms in explaining the backstory of the Replica and her eyes shined as she looked at Samar.

Seeing the glint in her eyes, Samar felt a chill go down his back. He wondered, 'She will not ask me to pay in my dear departed Senior Brother's stead, right?'

Thankfully, his fears did not come true. Harin handed him the Void Quiver replica and said, "This Replica is lacking because it was made using just the First Hymn of Vyom Rune. In the future, if you want a better Replica with more Hymns, you can come to me with materials and I will make one for you."

Samar smiled and received the Void Quiver Replica from her hands. Just as he was about to thank her for her offer, she said, "Oh, one more thing! I will only accept advanced payments from your lineage!"

Immediately, the smile on his face fell as he settled for an awkward grin. All the while cursing, "Damn it, Senior Brother! Because of you, we are facing discrimination!"
