The Start

I looked at the baby held in my mother's arms.

She looked at me and said softly with a smile,

"Akihiko-chan, meet your younger sibling"

I nodded albeit dumbfoundedly, we went home shortly after Mother got some sufficient rest.

Now, we were four in the family. While in the car, I looked at the baby's piercing red eyes and it immediately reminded me of his grown-up self.

So technically speaking, I'm 1 year older than the rest of the Kiseki No Sedai.

'Basketball huh' I thought while I looked at the car's window as I enjoyed the view of the city. While inside the car, we passed through some kids playing basketball. They looked like they enjoyed it a lot. I mean which person doesn't think that basketball is fun.

Who wouldn't get thrills when they make a buzzer beater or even something as winning a game. Also the bonds that you share with your teammates. Losing is also a part of the journey.

I shook my head and just decided to focus on what's important in the present, my family.

I'm already 1 years old and let's just say, my 1st birthday was very eventful, there were a lot of visitors. I assumed that they were here to please my father because I heard my father announce back then that I was the heir of the family.

But thinking of the future, some things will surely change. Sei-chan would feel the warmth of a family as I promised to treat him like every good older brother would. This made me think, because I'm here would his other personality still emerge?

Then I thought again, the child only had his father. That means my mother will- I clenched my fists in deep thought as I wanted to prevent this from happening.

The child was molded by the words of his father, thinking he was above everything and winning was everything. That was his mindset, and the main catalyst for his other personality was when he was losing to Murasakibara

Surely, I don't think that I will end up the same as Sei-chan. I promise to give him the happiest childhood that he deserved. It's my job as the older brother. With me being born earlier, that makes me the heir. The weight that Sei-chan had to bear will now go to me.

Thanks to my past life, I'll be able to handle things quite well. While still immersed in my thoughts, I slowly drifted away into sleep as my mother put my head unto her lap and patted my softly while carrying my younger brother in her arms.

.....

An hour later

I was awoken by my mother as the car door was open and my father was already waiting outside. I stood up and left the car while holding my mother's hands

The day was sunny as we were greeted by the ray of the sunshine. Looking at the sunshine, I made a promise to myself. To make our future as bright as the sun. I looked at my family who were walking peacefully towards our house. My mother smiled at my father, seeing their somehow good relationship I began to wonder.

Did grief change my father so much that his mindset was much more enforced to the point that he was even more strict with his only child. But then again, the Akashi family was a royal family. Victory mattered the most to them. Even with his mother around, Sei-chan still almost had no freedom. The only reason he got into basketball was because of his mother being able to convince father to give him some free time.

Then again, wouldn't I get the same treatment...

....

2 years later

Nothing really major happened but due to me being gifted at a very young age, my father had already made arrangements for me to learn things such as how to act properly and things like calligraphy.

But what was funny was that I learned them pretty quickly and there were also some things I mastered beforehand which made my father even dumbfounded. This lead to him being less cold to me. He was probably frustrated at my learning speed, even I was too.

Not only that, I noticed I had some abnormal perception, I could see the smallest details in objects or whatever. I could see flaws in things I do, this made me learn pretty quickly. There's also the fact that even my learning speed is abnormal without that, I could understand things in a faster rate that my father was being frustrated at the fact that I was too talented.

It was truly troublesome for him because after hiring teachers, he has to hire another one. Of course he only gets the best of the best. Even though he was a bad parent, it's the least he could do.

My teachers were even surprised out how mature I was. This made them suspicious of my family, I was acting as proper as my father. Due to me learning so much, my mother finally intervened and lashed out at my father.

Surprisingly, my father was afraid of my mother. I couldn't imagine that cold man display other emotions. But the simple solution for that was actually my mother.

My mother gave me more free time and what I did was simply play like other children. As a mother, she was saddened at the fact that I was not like other kids my age. But of course, this was the curse of being the heir of a royal family.

I did not want to play like other children, but if it makes my mother happy, why wouldn't I?

My 3rd birthday was finally here, the once almost empty house was bustling with people from rich backgrounds.

I was dressed in a very noble attire consisting of a suit that was in all black. My hair was slicked back as it highlighted the color of my eyes even more.

My mother who dressed me up patted my head and said a spoiled tone,

"My Aki-chan is so handsooomee!"

My father who was looking at me just nodded as we left the room.

We walked through the luxurious hallway as we made our way to the main hall where the party was being held. My hand grasped my mother's hand softly while the other grasped my father's.

We walked until we reached the entrance. Immediately, everyone stopped what they were doing ang looked at us.

"That's the heir of the Akashi's." a voice was heard from within the crowd

"The child looks as handsome as his father." another voice came out from the crowd.

After we got settled at our table, many people approached us. Some were even trying to introduce me to their daughters.

Of course as a noble child, I showed proper mannerisms even in actions such as eating. I looked more proper than some adults and this made my father look at me for a bit before looking away.

The food was amazing, this was the perk of being rich. I wouldn't have to worry about small financial problems whatsover. The main hall was decorated and everything was furnished nicely.

Overall, nothing really interesting happened. Until, I heard my father talking to another man. He was like my father, I could feel his coldness. I then heard his name as my father talked to him,

"I too, would be pleased to see your daughter Shinomiya-san."

'W-wait, Shinomiya??'

'Don't tell m-me'

This may be harem, I feel like making it harem. But not to the point where he has so many girls that you eventually forget about some of them.
