12 Game 7

The current Boston Celtics consisted of amazing players such as Pierce, Garnett, Rondo, Allen and Wallace. Overall, they were a pretty stacked team. The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers already had a long history of rivalry, dating back to 1956. They had already achieved a record for meeting 12 times in the NBA finals.

It was now time for the entrance of the Lakers. I was excited as the announcer called out the player's names. The announcer called out Gasol, Fisher, Artest, Bynum until he reached...

"And the guard, 6"6 from Lower Merion High School, KOBEEE BRYANTTTT!!"

The loud crowd had achieved volumes I had never thought was possible as he made his entrance.

'So this is a star. The Black Mamba' I overlooked the crowd as they erupted into cheers loud enough to make one deaf.

This was Kobe Bryant, a person you could not forget to include if you were talking about the all-time-greats. This man was loved by everyone. The amount of respect they had for this man was stunning.

I watched in glee as the two teams started practicing on the court. Not only that, I began to notice other presences present here. I analyzed every person and noticed that people like Magic Johnson and Bill Russel was here. The legends of the two franchises were here, watching the rivalry that they so experienced.

From the time of Magic Johnson vs Larry Bird and the time of Bill Russel against Wilt Chamberlain. History was watching as the two teams were about to write a new chapter.

....

Minutes Later

The tip-off was here as the Lakers took possession of the ball. The first minute of the game was here as the whole Lakers squad began to go on the offensive. But sadly, they missed the shot as the defense was too tight.

This went on for 2 minutes until a rebound pass was given to Fisher as he sank an easy three.

The three was precise, I swear I could even see a blue hue that showed the ball's trajectory and then I realized. This was the KnB world so there would naturally be things like this. Minutes had passed and the score was tight.

It was the last 3 minutes as Kobe nailed a jump from 15 ft. Overall, the game was more focused on a defensive aspects as both teams were missing their shots by a large margin due to the incredible defensive display that the two teams were presenting.

...

20 minutes later

The second half has started as the Celtics were leading in an 11 point lead. The pressure was there because normal people would usually lose their rationality over leads like this. With such tough defense, people are bound to make mistakes.

The 3rd quarter had ended and fans were still cheering, hoping for a comeback. Leads like this was very hard to overcome. Especially in a game that focused on defense. The 4th and last quarter had started as fans were hoping for something.

...

Minutes later

The lead was eventually disappearing as Gasol took control of the offense. It was now the last minute as the Lakers finally had the lead by three. One of the mistakes made by the Celtics was having Rondo guard Odem. It was 76-79 as Kobe made 2 free throw shots, pushing the score to 76-81.

At the last minute, the two teams scored and the score was now 79-83. At the last possession, Gasol was stalling as at the very last second, he threw the ball at the other side of the court.

This made all hopes of the Celtics lost as the clock had finally ended. And now, the Lakers were once again the NBA champions for the 3rd time in the row.

I smiled as I already knew the results from my past life. It was basically the same game but this time, it included some supernatural things.

"Let's go" I said to Charles whose expression didn't change throughout the whole game.

We left the stadium as went back to the car. Right now, I needed to sleep and think about the game.

.....

I was finally in my bed as tomorrow was also going to be eventful, I was to go to a prestigious middle school that consisted of other children like me. They were either kids of actors, politicians, or just any special people.

But I then recalled the game. That was the level I needed to reach. People always forget just how good any player from the NBA was. Even the worst of the worst could be a good player in any other league. This was a detail that people seemed to forget. The disparity between an NBA player and a regular player was massive. Now with that in mind, just imagine the level of players like Kobe, Lebron and any other stars. Isn't the gap too big?

There is a reason why most hoopers dreamed of being in the NBA, because it was the best of the best. People lacked perspective, people would usually claim things like "If I wasn't injured, or if I was given more playing, or if I was 6 inches taller" they would have made it into the NBA. This was a misconception that most people had.But thankfully, I had watched the game as I gained some insights from the game. I then drifted away to sleep to get ready for tomorrow.

...

The next day

It was finally morning, exactly 5:00A.M as I got out of my bed. I washed my face and did my daily routine of exercising, I also included some basketball drills too. By the time I had ended, it was 6:00A.M as I got out of the ice bath.

This middle school had a strict uniform policy. I wore my uniform which consisted of a black blazer along with black pants. The school was called Blackstone Academy. I walked ate my breakfast and went to the car where Charles was waiting for me. The trip was only 20 minutes long as I reached the school grounds. We reached the school grounds as some kids looked at our car. Curious about who's inside of it. As I walked out I was greeted by the stares of people and a huge school that basically screamed the word "wealth"
