Awakening 1/2

Jason who was on the ground looked at Akihiko angrily, he looked like he could tear him apart at any moment. Nash approached Jason and helped him up.

Nash then looked at Jason's eyes and said

"If you want to beat him up, we'll do it inside the court. So don't make any mistakes, you got me?"

Nash got the inbound pass as he started to sprint towards front court. There he was met once again with Akihiko. Nash clicked his tongue once again when he saw that there were no openings he could exploit against Akihiko. So once again, he passed the ball to Jason. But as he tried to pass the ball, Akihiko intercepted the pass as Akihiko then sprinted away for a fast break bucket.

Nash's eyes widened seeing Akihiko steal the ball.

Nash then chased after Akihiko. As they reached the paint, Akihiko suddenly stopped and pulled-up instead of going for a lay-up.At the same exact moment, Alexandra blew the whistle; ending the 1st half. Nash who was sprinting with his fastest speed tried to stop also, but this made him slip and slide as he tripped because he couldn't control his momentum.

*Swoosh* the ball went in as it was now 14-12.

The two teams went to their benches. On the way there, Akihiko could see Nash and Jason being extremely frustrated.

Akihiko walked towards his bench as his teammates then patted his back

"I didn't expect that you were going to be the good" Chad commented.

"Yeah man. if it weren't for you, we'd fail the tryouts" Ron said

Akihiko's teammates appreciated him because of what he was able to do and for the fact that he took revenge for them.

William who sat on the bench gave Akihiko a smile and a thumbs up. Akihiko did the same as after they talked for a while. It was now time for the second half as Akihiko's team got the inbound ball because they lost the tipoff at the start of the game. Akihiko didn't get the inbound pass as Ron got it and immediately sprinted to the front court.

Akihiko wasn't holding back this time as he then realized training his stamina helped him so much. Ron who was guarded by John immediately passed the ball to Akihiko who was at the elbow.

Akihiko got the ball and immediately leaned backwards as he didn't start dribbling yet while he held the ball with his 2 hands at his chest area. He was comfortable with playing with his back to the basket. Nash pressured Akihiko but it was to no avail.

"A post-up?!" Alexandra was surprised at Akihiko's display of his arsenal. Usually a player of his size and age would usually avoid post-ups and just go with regular ball handling and shooting.

Akihiko then started dribbling while pressuring Nash with his strength. When he felt that Nash's balance was disrupted, he immediately faked turn to the right as after doing that he then turned to the left and jumped backwards to pull-up.

"A post fade-away?!" Jason looked at Akihiko as he saw Nash trying to jump in order to block the shot. But the distance was too great as Nash could only look at the ball entering the rim.

The score was 16-12 as Akihiko planned to end things once and for all.

Nash got the inbound pass as he immediately passed the ball to Jason without giving Akihiko time to react, Jason was extremely pumped as he turned and immediately dunked. Jason was giving his full power as Paul couldn't keep up. Paul fell to the ground as he tried to contest the dunk.

"So you guys haven't had enough." Akihiko said as he looked at Jason and Nash. They gave him an annoying smile as they went back to defense.

Akihiko helped Paul up as he was relieved to see Paul not hurt at all. Akihiko then got the inbound pass. As he was sprinting to the three point line, he was met with Jason and Nash guarding him.

"A double-team?!" the crowd exclaimed seeing the two of the best players this school had was double teaming a single guy.

"I like the challenge" Akihiko said as he slowly dribbled the ball infront of the two.

"Heh, this is the end of the line you damn monkey. Once we're done with you, we're going to have a beat down with your teammates." Nash said.

"Do you dare?" as Akihiko said that, Nash and Jason felt that the air that surrounded Akihiko was different, it's as if it was an entirely new person.

Akihiko was looking down, but as he looked back up at Nash and Jason, they were shocked as the could see a change in his right eye. They could see a glow coming from his right eye. Alexandra stood up from the bench and immediately, one of the people who sat next to her asked

"What's wrong coach?"

Alexandra then said

"T-this i-is."

As Alexandra said that, Akihiko made a move as he dribbled in speeds they couldn't imagine. When they blinked and opened their eyes once again; they could see Nash and Jason on the ground.

"None is mightier, under the sun." Akihiko said as he slowly walked past them and pulled-up without even jumping.

"The eye of Ra?!" Alexandra said still shocked at what is happening.

Alexandra then noticed something unusual about Akihiko's awakening

"Why is it that his right eye is the only one that awakaned it. It must mean it's an incomplete awakening."

In the next possession, Akihiko guarded Nash. Nash could feel his eyes being suppressed by Akihiko

'What the hell is he?!' Nash thought as he looked at Akihiko.

Nash tried to pass once again, but the ball was snatched out of his hands as Akihiko predicted it.

At this point, the rest of the players on the court could only watch at what was happening as Nash and Jason chased after Akihiko.

But, the result was the same as the two fell to the ground once again.

"Lower your head." Akihiko said as he pulled up and hit the shot.
