1 The Darkness is my Friend

„Fuji, you dumbass! You forgot your jacket!"

A soft voice was calling me, before I left and I looked back to see the beautiful angered woman, Asami.

She was a stunning beauty in the shop and the reason, why I attended this job, as receptionist, in a Manga Cafe.

She had a boyfriend, but that didn't bother me to appreciate her gorgeousness. Her silk ink-black hair beautifying her gorgeous facial features of a small nose, soft and snow-white skin and cherry-red lips, that you want to kiss immediately.

Suiting to that, her body was that of a goddess. She has a small waist, easily tangible and a hourglass figure. The breasts bigger than a hand can fit and buttocks, that would make any man stare for minutes.

This Japanese goddess wore, befitting to her sexy body, a black crop t-shirt and slim jeans, that highlighted her buttocks.

Even if she complained, he loved it and wanted to embrace, or at least touch it, but shook his head, not forgetting the words of a simp.

'Pull yourself together! I'm not a simp!'

He formed a grin and laughed, scratching his hair in embarrassment.

„Haha...I totally forgot about it! Thanks!"

I hastily grabbed the jacket and left the manga cafe.

The reason for working here, was that I needed money for getting into an university to study electrical engineering. It was always my dream to learn jobs, that were based on electrical engineering and wanted to work with it.

But my parents abandoned me and parted their ways with me, after I gambled with their little saved money and was stuck alone.

I learnt it the hard way on how to survive with critical conditions, questioned always, if my bad luck was a curse.

I never found friends, because I had snow-white hair and cyan eyes, that were looks of a foreigner in japan. I hated the criticism and racism, that I had to grow up with, causing me to have appearance issues and I started to hide parts of my face, including to always hide my hair completely with a cap or a beanie.

My parents were oblivious to it, because they never had to deal with it, but it's not like they cared.

My father, an alcoholic, that loved to drink and went to drug parties. He smoked weed multiple times a day and that was part of his daily routine. He had sex with other women, because I heard every night the screams of my sad and desperate mother.

I always questioned, why did I get born? What have I done to see my mother suffer being completely powerless? I could only watch how he screamed at her and hit her.

She was a woman with a regular body, but was skinny and pretty. She was getting more and more desperate, that she started to lift out her anger at me with beginning to throw her cigarettes at me.

After that, she started to hit me and I did nothing, because I also knew what she experienced. Left alone, but the darkness always around you and the demons your only friend.

My mother was sick of calling this her home and bought a new apartment. I wanted to visit her sometimes, but every time I tried, I saw her with a man kissing her and groping her everywhere.

She turned into that of a demon I always dreamed of and sarcastically, turned into one of those whores, that my father occasionally had sex with.

I was only 13 years old, but seeing my mother in that state, she despised and turned into it, was the proof of her mental instability.

I tried several times after that and was at the bus station nearby. It was raining and when I had saved my money, that I could scrape together, I saw her belly bigger.

She was embraced by a middle-aged man with jewels on his hands and a golden teeth, shining while laughing. He wore a blue suit and resembled one of those rich men in the advertisement, I saw on the glass-broken TV at my home.

My demons always talked to me from the darkness, that they told me of this happening and I should have listened. They knew, that this would hurt me and warned me.

She was groped by him and entered his limousine with a suitcase. She never visited me, but thought of starting a new family...

The world was darker than I expected. How funny, the politic and the climate change was getting worse, yet we never solve one, but claim to have solutions.

I realized, how we humans portray a picture in front of us to show ourselves the happiness we can have, but the harder you try, the more the portrait will worsen to something unrecognizable.

My mother was a clear example of it and I knew this wouldn't be the last time, I would suffer.

I always hated my childhood and my whole life, but I tried to make it to the best and tried to achieve, that was in my reach. Everything further on my reach was simply overestimation in my eyes and if you could only think or talk about it, then you shouldn't even bother.

It was already in the evening and I crossed the street. I walked to a small fast-food restaurant, that was nearby. I could look from the window to the manga cafe and everything else happening in the streets with the occasionally massive human crowds.

The exterior design of the small fast-food restaurant was simple and the interior design was built out of light cherry wood. The tables and chairs was of the same wood.

As always, the sign I look at was engraved with 'Burger Monarch' and I opened the glass door, creating a ring.

„Welcome, dear customer!"

The receptionist, that worked there for the most of the times was in the age of 25 and a average woman. She was always kind and that was the reason, I was magnetized to this place.

I walked to the usual corner and waited for the receptionist to take my order. Since I saved money, a small cafe was the custom of my life and the most, I allowed myself to.

The receptionist was done with an order of a customer and walked over to my table to take my order.

„Hello, Dear Customer! What do you like to order?"

She had the usual smile and her hair tied to a ponytail was giving her an honest aura. The demons that muttered from the sides always told me, she was a average thot and I shouldn't bother with her.

„One small coffee, please."

The receptionist was looking at my hidden face and wrote down the order on a note book. After that, she left to ready it.

*pitter* *patter* *pitter* *patter*

The sound of continues falling raindrops was coming from the glass I looked trough and the night was getting grimmer.

I didn't mind the rain, it calmed me down and made me concentrate in peace. The only time, I wish not to die.

I was getting desperate again and wanted to get these thoughts away, but I saw Asami walking on the sidewalks. She was simply stunning as always and for some reason, I could see other tears instead of rain drops on her face.

She was walking with her phone open, ignoring the rain and the chance of defective electronics. She wore a black jacket, so I didn't worry about her getting a cold.

I watched, until I saw the impossible. She wanted to cross the street, but forgot her surroundings and only stared at her phone sadly.

She has a boyfriend, I thought. Did he break up with her?

For some reason, a part of me was happy and the other was mysterious, not even I could understand it.

I thought, that I should talk and walk up to her. I left the store and left money on the dinner table for not letting the receptionist waste her time.

The rain hit my beanie and my partial mask. My clothes got instantly wet and the cold breeze hit me. Even so, I walked up to her and planned on to cross the street, until I saw a truck getting alarmingly close to her.

I ran up to her and wanted to push her away, but simultaneously, when I was about to touch her, the truck was 10 cm away.

I thought of my bad luck, the curse and how I was a foul, to pull her with me to death.

The only thought, before the truck hit us, was 'Damn you, Truck-kun'.
