'What do they speak of in secret?' Grant wondered, curious of what Kenneth had to say to the prince that he could not hear. 

As far as he knew, Kenneth wasn't aware of the plans the court brought to him or Kenneth would have questioned him about it. His son was not afraid to speak his mind.

So, what was this about?

Grant needed something to drink to calm his mind. He couldn't have Kenneth suspecting him of anything just yet. Not when his plans had not started to show Kenneth that the throne was something they could obtain.

Grant took a step forward to approach the two to listen to what they were speaking about, but he was stopped by someone he didn't care for.
