"Grandfather! I wasn't told that you would be visiting today," Linda said, surprised to see Grant standing before her. "My parents aren't home. Only Liam is here with me while the others take over training."

"I came to see you," Grant replied.

"Oh. What for? I don't need to go to the palace today," Linda answered, still confused as to why he was there. It was a little late for him to be thinking of escorting her to the palace.

"Can't I come see you when I miss you?" Grant questioned, pretending to be sad.

"Of course you can. It has been long since we've all sat together for dinner or just to have fun. Will you be staying long enough to stay here for dinner? We can call for grandmother to come," Linda suggested.

These days Linda was only seeing Grant and not her grandmother. It was odd how her grandmother was always too busy to visit and then too busy if Linda went to her. It was like they weren't welcomed at their grandparents home.
